This game would have been awesome to watch this past season. As a Michigan fan I hope that we can beat Texas at the Big House but I have Texas winning by double digits the way things currently stand. MIchigan's OFFENSE is in rebuild mode. Michigan's Defense is stock full of experience veterans. That defense gave up 20 points to Bama. Michigan needs to find a way to score 24 points/game. If they can do that, the "rebuild" will be more of a continuation. Maybe not a natty, but still a highly competitive team at the highest level.
Michigans defense is going to be just as good as last year, their offense has question marks at literally every position, Texas’ offense is going to be just as good as last year maybe even better only real losses are at WR which is the most replaceable position other than RB IMO and their defense will take a step back most likely especially on the D Line. This game is going to be a big confidence boost for whatever team wins this game and they will most likely ride the momentum into the playoffs so it may be a week 2 game but this game will be one of the biggest of the year for both these teams. “A more explosive offense” “JJ didn’t really matter” You’re omitting that: 1. Donovan Edwards regressed with 5 TD’s last season vs Corums 27 TD’s 2. I honest to god think Texas is gonna shut them out, unless they get some help from the D and special teams. Texas did lose their eventual starting RB, but freshman Baxter actually was the starter before his injury and is obviously back, as is RB Blue who had a top 10 recorded MPH (like Worthy) in the entire country. With the incoming freshman, they’re talking about 4-5 NFL RBs on the roster. Losing Brooks is not irreplaceable, especially at Texas who churns out RBs. We’ll see what WR has to offer, but they brought in 3 very productive WRs and have a handful of greatly talented underclassmen including some 5* talents. This is game Michigan really should lose after losing a lot of their starters, but they will be playing loose with nothing to lose. It’s a trap game for Texas.
This is a dangerous game for Texas no doubt but I wouldn’t call it a trap game. The trap game for Texas will be game in vandy coming off back to back tough games against OU and Georgia and right before playing Florida. Now should we lose that game no. And they have a factory at OLINE with THREE proven runners (Edwards, Orji and Mullings) that can help them eat clock and reduce the number of TX possessions. I cannot even see Texas getting to 28 on the Michigan defense. Are you counting on 2 pick 6s? In the past 3 years, Michigan has given up no more than 27 points in a single game at home and they have not lost ANY games at home. Both times they gave up 27 points, they scored over 40. Reality is that if TX wins, it will be a much lower scoring game. Maybe they get in the low 20s and Michigan cannot score more than 17. Something like that.

I think the game will be close. But acting like Michigan is falling off is crazy. Michigan might lose two games next year. Texas and Ohio. But they could definitely run the table again.
Washington Usc UCLA are going to be ass. Oregon is going to be like Penn state.
“A more explosive offense”
“JJ didn’t really matter”
You’re omitting that:
1. Donovan Edwards regressed with 5 TD’s last season vs Corums 27 TD’s
2. JJ had nearly 3,000 passing yards with only 4 INT’s.
3. Wilson had 12 receiving TD’s
Unless you get some big portal transfers, Michigans offense will be awful.
GO BLUE.......
The main question is Michigan's offense. If they are clicking against texas in week two they are a threat to any and all in the country! Go blue!
I honest to god think Texas is gonna shut them out, unless they get some help from the D and special teams. Just got a hard time seeing them scoring a TD against the Texas defense with an entirely new offense, and with the style of offense they play. There's no way they can put a long TD drive together against TX lol.
GO BLUE
I don’t see how anyone could think anything other than Texas going undefeated. Screen shot it
Hahaha wait, you serious? 😂😂😂😂. Sound just like delusional Buckeye fans every year although they are way better than Texas this year.

Hook'em, you couldn't even Hook Washington Huskies team that Michigan beat 34-13
We're heading into a new season, and we're ready to take on any challenge. Michigan's victory against Bama was due to a lousy center. You guys shouldn't have won that, but it's over, so let's move on to next season & stop bringing up last season we know that we have what it takes to win. We're confident in our abilities and ready to prove we're a force to be reckoned with this year. 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
The most points Michigan gave up last season were 24 twice. What are the odds Texas breaks 20?
Honestly, pretty good. Texas will be in contention for the best OL and QB in the country. Bam's defense was great last year too and Texas scored 34. It's actually anticipated the Texas offense will be even better than last year. Sark is a fantastic playcaller as well. I like Texas chances to hit 30 let alone 20.
@@cameronmiller7980 LOL Texas does not have the best QB in the country. Not even top 5. Crazy homerism. Texas also lost their starting Wrs and RB. Michigan returns Mason Graham and Kenny Grant. Good luck.
@@maxsonfinn8030 that’s really interesting considering he’ll be a 3 year starter, already projected 1st rounder, and is the heisman favorite already. So yea, without a doubt he’s in contention for being the top QB. His name is in the pot. If you think Texas is just going to drop off because they lost two WRs, you’re welcome to jump on that wagon. It’s the same one with the people who say Texas will never be back again.
@@cameronmiller7980 You just wrote a novel of cope. You know what i remember about Texas - getting boat raced by a Washington team that would be lucky to finish 4th in the BIG. This matchup is crucial for both teams and CFP overall…if Texas loses (as they should being less talented than a team that got gobsmacked by Wash, which itself got demolished by Michigan!) then we can FINALLY come back to reality and realize this team can no longer mask ALL their “leaks in the boat”
…but if they somehow win like last year against Bama, my God it will be delusions of grandeur rest of the season only for us to outright fail once again 🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤘🏼🤨🤘🏼
You know 0 things about our team. You can't compare results from last year when michigan is 128th in returning production brotha. find out week 2 fake ah fan
Less talented than last years team? You do know the offense is predicted to be even more productive and explosive with the talent coming in right? You’re a closet OU fan posing as a Texas fan. Go blow the Sooners like we know you try to do in secret. We don’t need this fake ass energy on our team
People sleeping on the dropoff Texas will have at stopping the run and Quinn Ewers will throw two picks with one being a pick 6. Michigan by 7+
The problem is, I think this is a matter of neither fan base really knows. In the case of Texas, they lost a lot in the middle of the defense. In the case of Michigan, not knowing a lot about the offense and who is going to be QB is scary too. I think it will come down to who can put it together first
@@justincolvin6712 It’s only scary to casuals and the media who needs the clicks. The QB won’t be ask to throw the ball more than 18 times a game.
@@keynojuan Ok, ill bite. What happens when Texas stacks the box and Michigan cant run. Not saying it is going to happen but it could and you would need a QB at that point. I really think this will come down to Texas offense vs that Michigan D and who makes the fewest mistakes
Texas won't be that close. O-Line is garbage and UM will Blitz them to Death. Ask Penix how that turned out for him😂
@@justincolvin6712Texas hasn't got anybody that can cover UM tightends and they lost their pass rush to the NFL😂
Real question is how bad texas is going to put a beat down on michigan…. Texas 42-10 is my prediction. Probably a top 15 match up or 10 but texas steams rolls michigan, it’s too many questions for this michigan team…
Texas isn’t scoring 42 on that defense
@@Deez30224 you right , they gonna kick a late FG to make it 45
You clearly do not know anything about the Michigan roster. You may be correct but this would be an "Even a blind hog occasionally finds an acorn" situation.

@@mkwy8782 you clearly nervous about texas and your “roster” i’m obviously trolling but texas still wins
The people who are predicting Texas to win are the same people who said Michigan would lose to Penn State OSU Bama and Washington. Michigan will take the “Horns down 😉” with ease
Keep dreaming. Texas will stomp Michigan in their own house.

The same people bashing Texas will be the same ones who say “well..Michigan is down” if Texas goes to Ann Arbor and beats them. I.E. you

It’ll be a tough game, but in a contest of some unknowns, e.g., Texas’ offense and Michigan’s offense, you go with what you do know. The Michigan defense will still he dominant, and the Michigan offense will still be able to run the ball. And, Michigan will be playing at home.
Michigan 24, Texas 20
This is game Michigan really should lose after losing a lot of their starters, but they will be playing loose with nothing to lose. It’s a trap game for Texas.
This is a dangerous game for Texas no doubt but I wouldn’t call it a trap game. The trap game for Texas will be game in vandy coming off back to back tough games against OU and Georgia and right before playing Florida. Now should we lose that game no. But it’s a trap game because it’s a weaker opponent coming off 2 tough opponents right before another big name game
They will not be able to run on Michigan 😂
Nobody will.
I’ll be back after they play to see if this tuned out to be true
I'll take Michigan
I hate texass
I wanna go for UM and Moore but we need Texas to win to look better in OU’s resume when we win…Boomer!

Texas 42 Michigan 14
Texas may very well win, but talk to me like I am 5 and explain how Texas is gonna score 42 points on the Michigan defense, especially in Michigan Stadium. Michigan has elite DBs AND elite D-lineman.
😂

@@jakobhazeltine2688 "Returning production" is a naive stat. Michigan has a ton of backups that rotate in and are not technically starters. Also, they get transfers who are starters on other teams. On defense, virtually every position has considerable experience. As for QB, it will likely be a combo of Denegal and Orji. I don't think they will score as much as last year, but who knows?
