I own one, the same one honestly (frozen black) and love the car. I’ve owned Maserati, Viper, Rover, Corvette’s, Camaro’s and so many cars. The BMW i8 is one of the best cars I’ve owned. It may not be the fastest, but all around - it’s one of my favorite cars. Most people don’t understand until they drive one/own one. I was the same. I hated the power specs, but owning one, it’s actually REALLY quick as it uses the electric motors to boost you with instant torque and allows the turbos to catch-up. 👍
I like how he's so proud of 360 brake in a 1400 kg car. Compared to the cars that have been on this channel, its slow af. That being said.. he started from the bottem and is proud that hes in the i8 good for him

I like the owner's enthusiasm and it's a great car, but it's no supercar. And it's not very economical; a 435d will be faster and more efficient, not to mention less than half the price. Also, the engine sound is fake, it comes through the speakers.

I'm BMW all the way, I just wish they would have used the b58 or at least more powerful electric motors on each axle, have it around 500hp total, it would at least be on par with nsx, McLaren etc that way.. if only, all that being said my next car will be a C7 z51 but I wish it was a more powerful version of the i8. Would I be mistaken to say a 1.5 turbo engine might be very similar to the mini engine. Great car mate but the only thing nice about a i8 is the doors and the only reason I say that is because you can get so much more car for the money in a different platform
