Used it today in full sunlight, it was a bummer, around 86 degrees. It did great with minimal dusting. I'll try either Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax or TW Ice Seal and Shine as a topper.
Thanks Luke for this video! It is the best AIO currently. The amount of correction is no joke for AIO. It has no issue replacing my meg UC and UP combo in most situation
Also, absolutely tremendous and invaluable channel, you and Scott are responsible for this business coming together from nothing on March 14th to on the road today. God bless. 🔥
Hey, brother, as a new detailer about to use 3D Speed on my own vehicle, why the heavy cutting pad? I would figure for something light like an all in one that you would want an orange pad at most. Thoughts?
Good video luke. A lot of differant people speak "Highly" about HD speed. Guess I'll take the plunge. I'm all about the finish product. I love to go above and beyond and over deliver.
+Jeffrey Carson absolutely Jeffrey! It really is An Amazon product, definitely one that I would put on my essentials list for any detailer no matter how experienced. Let me know how you like it after you've experimented a little!
How’s it going brother I just bought some HD polish and from what I’ve seen in your video works pretty awesome bro shout out from Jay’s Mobile Detailing La Porte TX. ✌🏼🤙🏼
Hey Luke, your videos are great and very informative. I'm very new at this, however I do wonder with these type of products that claim to remove swirl marks and scratches do you want to use them for that purpose on a need to basis and not your primary polishing and sealant product. I'm only assuming but do these products take off very small amounts of clear coat to achieve that effect each time you use it?
Great question,,, actually products like these have something called fillers, which means they fill in the scratches, and eventually that does go away, so though it looks great at first, it will uncover the scratches and swirls eventually, but again, I think these products have their place... as far as my primary polish, no this is not it, simply because when I am doing paint correction, I want a permanent fix, so that means a polish with actual abrasives in it
How long can you expect this to last? A customer of mine wants a paint enhancement and protection for several months (through the winter) should I top off with a wax? Will it even hold?
Hey luke, just throwing this out there....now I understand the car is 16 years old and never polished but I did a hp speed test on my wife's car and my own and did same process as you did on my car with the microfiber pad and I seen the same swirls on my car, I then did same process on the wife's car but instead of using the microfiber pad I used a orange hex logic foam pad using same process and no evidence of swirls leftover and this car had prior swirls and sits out all year long and is a daily driver so unless your gonna finish down with a foam pad which would be pointless with an all in 1 product like hd speed I would just use a foam cutting pad for all in 1 polish
sean B interesting! Ya I love foam pads as well of course! I can't imagine why that would do more correction though, because microfiber pads as a rule are dedicated for paint correction far more than foam pads, maybe the microfiber pad was not a heavy cutting pad? Very interesting Sean
Yes the microfiber pads to cut better but they don't finish down better meaning on the last 2 passes or so on the foam pad I used lighter pressure and lower speed and finished with no swirls, now with the microfiber pad unless your finishing it down with a foam pad it leaves little spiderwebbing affect. Those are just my observations either way though you did an excellent job. I guess you also have to put into consideration the different types of paint hard and soft so I would imagine if the car had harder paint the microfiber pad would be just fine and wouldn't leave swirls behind
How frequently did you clean the MF pad? you should clear it out after every one or 2 passes. It also takes more product on MF than foam. Just a couple of thoughts
I know this was posted 2 weeks ago but I also used this same product with my rupes and a white meguiars mf pad and didn't get good results so I did a test spot with an orange medium pad and saw better results so i went on and did the whole car a zL1 and came out flawless no swirls and about 90% of scratches came off you can check it out in my ig page @premiumglossworks_
Just was reviewing your HD SPEED video and sitting here watching and my wife says you (me) have to find that song. I guess it is the song playing while your polishing the car. It has a heavy bass and drum sound. Hurry reply she is driving me crazy with her humming the bass sound.
Hi Wilson. Would you use this HD speed on its own on moderately oxidized paint, or would that require a 2 step (cut and polish) to remove the oxidation then polish afterwards?
Hey Luke what's up bro hd speed is a very good product I'm just a car enthusiast that like to make my car looking good but it does it justice very affordable and goes a long way u should do a review on hd post it's a wax that can also be used as a sealant if I let it cure on the paint for 30min
+luis flores definitely!!! I will absolutely do that!! I've been wanting to try out their wax anyways! Love their products!! Definitely a great example of the good companies in the auto Detailing world!
Nice video! I love using HD speed. I just went throw a 32oz bottle. Bro ur video made me lol. I didnt see some squirrels but I did see a lil bit of swirls. 3:22 really cracked me up 😂😂😂😂👏👏👏👏
Hi Great video. The sealant in HD Speed how long does it last. And is it good on Black cars Can you use it on headlights to keep them clear and sealed Keep up the great videos
Nice video man. I just got the product a few weeks ago and have a few customer cars lined up to use the product on. Do you use it on the windows as well?
Great video, my question is what do you sell the service as? I know there is polish in HD speed but the poly wax fills a lot of the swirls and over time as the wax diminishes the swirls will begin to reappear. How do you set those expectations with the client? Thanks! Rich
+Rich Beach definitely a great question! Of course every situation is a case-by-case thing, so there is not one set price that I can blanket over all of it, but for the size car that I was doing in this video with only two doors, and just moderate defects, you would be looking at somewhere between 100 and $200, of course that's just in for me in my world, but in regards to HD speed simply filling the swirls instead of actually removing them, I have done a lot of testing in the past year with this product and have found that I actually have not ever seen swirls reappear at least in a 365 day. With any client, even with cars that are very very bad condition, so it is not something that I major on too much, and kind of like I talk about sometimes customers don't really care that much about those kind of details, because at the end of the day even if I polished the car there would be different aspects of the car that would put swirls on it and micro scratches in the next two years anyways whether it's the customer going to get it washed or just the elements hitting the car, things like that so regular polishing is a must anyways in order to avoid swirls altogether, and so is HD speed works up to a year to two years, that is definitely worth it to me and my customer
my dear mr. Wilson i would like to ask you from your experience how long the results of an AIO product it lasts?? i know that it depends on washing cycles weathers conditions e.t.c and i understands that the protection that they provide is a short lived but i would like to know if the other benefits of those products they are also sort lived ? the cleanes and the light abrasives??? in total......if i use an AIO product...in a few months the paint of the car recovers fully in the previus condition ??/ and the paint again seems that never been treated???
Shouldn’t you be using the yellow wool medium pad with a 1 step polish like HD speed? The blue is for heavy cutting but with a compound and then follow with yellow and a polish
I would not suggest putting a ceramic coating over any protection, everything needs to be stripped off of the paint before the coating is put on it simply because it needs to properly bond with the paint
If you are polishing one part of the car to remove a blemish on the paint, would you need to polish the whole car as well? Would it be that noticeable that one part has been polished vs all other non polished areas? Thanks
Luke after using HD Speed could you apply an actual sealant over the top of this? Say a Chemical Guys Jetseal? Or would you be better off using an actual polish like Meguiars 205?
If you're looking to apply your favorite LSP, you'd probably be better off using a dedicated polish such as M205. If you do have HD speed and enjoy using it (and are in the market for a polish), HD Polish+ is just as nice to use and you could follow that with whatever LSP you'd like.
It shouldn’t but a lot of people use things like the Clay towel a little too much I would encourage you not to use it too much not because it’s dangerous but simply because it’s not necessary to use frequently
Hey what da polisher would you recommend in the uk to get i seen a meguiars one tho it starts at £220. I want to start mobile car valeting like yourself.
Wilson Auto Detailing "Ok " Something like a Wheel Polish , I heard Chemical guys makes a wheel polish or a Coating do you recommend those kind of products!!..
Jared Shattuck I think I would go with BOTH!! But if you had to choose I would go With foam because it will allow you to use a more variety of products, and it's less "correcting" if that makes sense
Isn’t hd speed a little bit bad in a way as it’s got filers in and really you want to be correcting all of them and not filling half of them in? Not having a knock at all like I’m a massive fan of your channel I’m just stating my opinion
On the rear quarter panel you only went over it once? It might look ok for now but when the sealant wears off it will look like you barely did anything especially using such little product on such a big area but then again you weren't working the product long enough anyway. Anything will look better with wax/sealant on it and that's what you practically did as there was not enough passes to correct the clear coat to a degree.
Anthony A hey Anthony. I understand your logic but there's just no way to make that sort of blanket statement about a situation like this. Not all of the paint is in the same condition. Example: the roof obviously takes more time and attention than the door panel, for obvious reasons, so to look at a video like this where you cannot see what kind of pressure I'm putting, previous condition of the paint, type of Pads, and not to mention the video is SPED UP 😂 there's just no way for you to make that kind of call. No disrespect, there's just no backing to that kind of claim whatsoever
I have not ever experienced that with HD speed, but my first suggestion would simply be to use less product! Many times people over do it a little, so I would say a little goes a long way so I would try to use just A LITTLE HD speed, let me know! Follow up with me!

Hi Do you know anything about Pinnacle Black Label Diamond coating. It is a ceramic coating. Can it be put over HD Speed or should I just use HD polish
The best thing to do is stay away from paint correction as a mobile or quick detailer . Time is money. Plus people expect miracles. If you are a shop make sure you charge appropriately for paint correction. Menzerna 3 in 1 is the best for light work. Meguiars 205 and then a carnuba wax is best for medium and a 101 then 205 wax combo is best for paint correction. Set expectations beforehand. Meguiars detailer products such a quick detailer 66 is also a good fast paced product. All the other stuff is about the same but overpriced. Just my opinion of over 30 years detailing. I started with a metal pot and a dishrag with some windex and paper towels.
I gotta say, with all do respect, I couldn’t possibly disagree more with staying away from paint correction as a MOBILE detailer. I have been doing mobile paint correction for years and it has enhanced my business more than any other area of detailing.
Never have I ever heard an opinion like this one lol. I almost stopped reading after the first sentence. Btw 30 plus years of detailing is what is hurting you, the old school tactics are outdated and time consuming. Catch up
Used it today in full sunlight, it was a bummer, around 86 degrees. It did great with minimal dusting. I'll try either Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax or TW Ice Seal and Shine as a topper.
I think one of the most amazing things about this product is seeing the elimination of water spots, and of course the high gloss or shine 😀❤👍
Thanks Luke for this video! It is the best AIO currently. The amount of correction is no joke for AIO. It has no issue replacing my meg UC and UP combo in most situation

Try finishing with collinite 845.....you'll go blind
So far Im absolutely loving this product. My question is: Can I put a wax or a sealant over this after I use HD Speed?
You can certainly follow up with a wax, HD speed does seal the paint as well so I dont know if I would follow with a sealant
