Thank u so much for this video! Now I have to purchase Elmers glue! I have some books already. Hope u make Part 2... "Embellishing your book" 🤗 Blessings to u! ~Diana
Hi Irina, I am a new subscriber. And I am a recent altered journal. I have very little resources. When I came across your channel --I loved it !!! I do not have a sewing machine , at this time, to do the edges. But I have started one like yours--and I using paper from a wallpaper book. So far it is looking very nice. Thanks for the good ideas. My prayers are with you and your Mother. I am blessed to have a wonderful daughter in law and two sons who help me --as I have some trouble getting around. Blessings to you. By the way--I live in Oregon.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I've always wondered just how to made the base of a hard back junk journal. Now I think that I'm ready to give it a try. Thanks for sharing Irene. Until next time you and mom stay blessed......
This is my first time watching your video!!!! So glad l stumbled upon you 👏👏👏👏👏😍..... .. just joined this amazing J.J world lol.....lost my precious mum in June so this has been invaluable to me!!!!!!!!!! My happy place......Thankyou so MUCH 👏😍☘
Love Love Love this video...thanks for sharing. I prepped a book today and you make the taring of the pages look so easy. When I did it a good many of the pages tore off and stuck out to far from the spine. So I had to go and tear it smaller. Some tore but I am going to try to salvage it. Thank you again. Blessings!
I glued my pages together with lots of glue stick:( Live and learn. They are a bit crunchy but it is my first altered book, so much different from my usual scrapbooking. Love recycling and freecycling so this is a great idea. Plus I'm always looking for a portable paper craft. Scrapbooking, for me, takes too much planning and packing. TFS
thanks for sharing your hints and tips and love that your use the inexpensive glue, it is my favorite. also as a crafter and gardener, I like your 'spread it around' philosophy. TFS and take care, Julie
Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge and talent. Great tutorial. Ah, I, too, spent many hours watching Carol Duval and I still have notebooks full of ideas gleaned from her and her guests. That was my introduction to Tim Holtz and his great creativity. Thanks for the smile of remembering those wonderfully creative hours.
Thank you Irene. I would have done this all wrong. I ran to dollar tree yesterday and purchased two books being careful to select the correct binding. I tore my paged out today. I was afraid to start and I am glad I did. Thank you, Tink
Dear, dear Irene, I bet you do not know just how special you are to the crafting world. It is such a good feeling to open my e mail and see you have another video, makes my day and inspires me to hurry to my craft room. You are an inspiration, knowing you are taking care of your mother and still doing you beautiful crafting. There are so many of us out here that just love you to pieces. Would like to know how you go about pricing your journals. Hugs and kisses to you and your Mom.
Thanks so much for this tutorial video. I love the flip-through videos, but I also needed to know how to get started prepping a book. I'm so glad you are willing to share your tips and experiences!! Love it all!!
Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks with us! You are SO inspiring and encouraging! I love your channel! Hopefully you can share with us a step by step process of how you put your journals together. From ripping pages out, to gluing pages together, gluing decorative pages in, the cover and if course embellishing! I never made a journal...yet. I'm sure this is and would be very helpful for many! Hugs and blessings to you and mom! 💖Andi
