- On January 7, 2000 at Madison Square Garden, Springsteen fans were treated to a once of a lifetime performance of the hit song "Light of Day". Always innovating, The E-Street band and Bruce reinvent the song for the new millennium! Springsteen himself has stated it will never be played this way again and this is the only known footage to exist. He gives his thoughts about his blindingly loyal fans at the end! I recently sat down with "The Boss" and asked him about this one of a kind event.
MT: So Bruce, what made you decide to change up "Light Of Day?
BS: Well my fans are constantly saying what an innovator I am, and how "raw" and "powerful" my concerts are. We had been playing about seven and a half hours that night already and the crowd was just eating it up, you know. I looked at Max and Clarence and we sort of secretly decide to just make up the stupidest, most asinine thing we could think of that sort of vaguely resembled "Light Of Day". Just to see how the fans would react.
MT: And how did they react?
BS: They loved it of course! The reviews were stellar all over the place '"The Boss' has done it again!" "Springsteen reinvents himself!" You name it. It proves my point. I could just get up on stage and play random shit and my fans will eat it with a smile. Even I don't understand my appeal.
MT: You recently canceled some concerts in North Carolina along with some other bands in protest of the LGBT bathroom debate. Can you tell us why?
BS: It's to give the fans the illusion that I really care about stupid crap like that. Honestly, I've been making millions of dollars a year for the last 40 years. Do you really think I care who goes to the bathroom and where? As long as people are buying my ridiculously high ticket prices, they could shit on the floor during my concert. Either way I'm getting paid!

It’s the best shred on the internet. I am positive that the guy who made this also made the secco day best all time Shred, “Heart Butchers Stairway to Heaven”. StSanders is amazing but this is a notch above

Exactly my thoughts. That's one thing that always annoys me about Sprinsteen. Not only does his music suck, especially what he calls "singing", but it's always like he's trying TOO hard to be cool.
@@Mark-yn4vl don't agree, to me his singing is the only kind-of-O K thing about his music - Everything else BESIDES his singing is what I've always despised: his songs suck, the music sucks, the lyrics suck, his sax players were always Thee Worst, his band had always been shit.

They act like Springsteen is the best thing to ever happen to music. I can't stand any of it. The only song by him I DO like, is "Cover Me". Because it seems like he could actually sing if he wanted to, but he never does!

Springsteen is like the ultimate boomer act. It's like somebody's mechanic dad who moonlights as a rock star at the local bar somehow became an ACTUAL fucking rock star, and an incredibly famous one at that.
Damn I think you summed up Springsteen better than anyone I've ever asked. Most people just say "You just don't get it man! Springsteen rules!" But can never really tell me WHY. To me, the only thing he's "The Boss" of is being overrated. But, that is a hilarious, yet great explanation. :)

Ive always thought Bruce has been an excellent songwriter. That, alone, certainly makes up for the tiny mistakes on this performance. Everybody has a bad night at some point in their lives, on stage, whatever. However his wah-wah is exceptional.
