    Is it just me or does everyone else hear the genuine sound of this mans being. This guy was one true to himself person. I just mean he went SUPER DEEP WITHIN HIMSELFF. Got to know all of who he was and really never stopped trying to discover while still remaining TRUE TO HIMSELF. Not always easy to do and seldom easy for a musician to EVER do. I've been a fan of ALL of Cornell's work, be it Soundgarden or Solo for 35 years ...his work contains so much honesty that its staggering.

      @mayorofthenonsense Год назад +3

      Definitely. I have not seen one single interview where he comes across like he’s putting on an act, trying to be a certain way, or pretending to be something he’s not. He’s humble, direct, and speaks without pretense no matter who he’s talking to, as if he’s just having a casual conversation. The biggest tragedy is that people who are this authentic and reflective end up feeling like they’re the broken ones, like there’s something wrong with them - when in fact it’s the other way around.

    I met & hung out with Chris while I was working as a light tech on the Lallapalooza Tour. This is how he was in real life. I'm so grateful to have had that time. Somehow I always thought I'd see him again, so sad to know that that will never happen now. But at least we have things like this & of course, his music. RIP to the guy with most soulful eyes

      I’m from Seattle. I’d crossed paths with Chris a few times having been way into the music scene.
      The last time was 10-12 years ago. I had some beef jerky I had made. He asked what was in my bag, so I offered him some jerky. He came back about 10 minutes later and asked me for some more. True story.

      @@briangregory6303sadly very true. He seemed to be the happiest he’s ever been around 2006-2009 and after, it’s a joy to watch interviews from that era because you could tell he was really enjoying life and making music around that point. It’s such a shame things went the way they did, he could still be alive and making amazing music but as you said, he wasn’t himself that night and it even showed in his performance. What an impulsive, tragic ending. He had so much more to offer, we lost a remarkable person with him.

      @Anderson Cooper that is correct
      Chris Cornell was a high school dropout.
      But that by ABSOLUTELY NO MEANS that he wasn’t an intellectual.
      I’m really confused?
      Did you know that Chris wrote the music for all his bands. Have you read or even attempted to understand the lyrics in his sound ?
      Not an intellectual?
