Yes, exactly. His interviews show why he was such a good lyricist-- he had such insight, honesty, and way with words. Really a brilliant, decent man.

I can't believe I missed this! Made my morning hearing his voice. Life long Crue Head, exposure to soundgarden, but really fell in love with Chris's solo work just before the end.

Nikki Sixx inspired me to learn electric bass guitar. Chris Cornell inspired me to expand my own creativity. Both inspired me to be myself even though I've wished I was either or both of them, countless times. I've dreamt I was a member of their bands, & during the dreams I kept thinking to myself "they don't seem to mind that we haven't rehearsed 1 note). Though there was nobody missing, somehow I was IN THE BAND!

When it comes to Chris, i dont think any other musician brings as much table particularly vocal performance and songwriting (which is genius level)

He defintely was an angel down here on Earth literally, too bad he didnt know that or maybe he did and had enough of humanity. I get that

Do you they talk about when Nikki said SG sounds like Sabbath and Chris said he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about?

Pretty cool of Cornell to do this. Crue had a few good songs in there & they were capable musicians.
