Dude, congratulations man, that's quite the achievement. Not many truly understand the effort one needs to put in to achieve such a milestone. To see you do it in such a short space is honestly inspiring!!
I started playing golf just over a year ago, round about the same time you posted your first video. I have been here, watching your every painful chunk, shank, blade, duff, you name it, you did it, I saw it! I felt every painful shot and cheered your every par! It's awesome to see you achieve this milestone of breaking 80, a milestone that I've set myself to break by the end of this year. Seeing you do it gives me hope. Last week, I shot an 85 for the first time so I know it's just around the corner.
Congratulations once again! Here's to seeing you on the PGA Tour soon...because that's the thought we all have every time we shoot a low score!! 😁

Wow! If your breaking 80 within a year of playing that’s going some. I’m returning to the game after 30 years, struggling to get into 90’s consistently but just had a very good round gross 95 +23 off a PH of 29, this included a 9, 3 x 3 putts and a double bunker shot so breaking 90 was in there.
Whenever I see links courses and the wind I just think my ball would be going all over the place so to break 80 in those conditions👍👍
I've been playing about 2 years now guyr 👍 Scores are all well and good aren't they. As long as you enjoy your golf, that's all that matters. Aha! It wasn't as bad as I was expecting tbh
@@UpDownGolf there’s always a laugh to be had with the game, either from lucky bounces or smiling in the face of adversity.
Played a 4 ball scramble in a comp, with me being the high handicapper. 1st tee my three playing partners all pulled drives into the trees, one got a bounce out, I topped my 3W 150 yards to be the nominated drive 😂

oh you're the other piece of the double act! The two of you will push each other to become better and better golfers. My yardages are much closer to yours, but I have never shot an eagle. Incredible shot lad. And I've also never shot below 80. My best being 85 a couple of weeks ago. Also, you had a brutal wind. Your wedge game is your big strength. Impressive sir. Congratulations mate. Love your channel. I can totally relate to you as my game has run parallel with yours over the last few years. I too earned my first eagle and broke 80 this summer. One of the best feelings you can have in this game. Still waiting on a hole in one but hoping it comes sometime soon. Great round. Hopefully many more to come. 🎉

Hole out on 6 was awesome man!!! I remember the first time I broke 80, I was about the same 15+ handicap, praying to get better. Laid up on 18 (par 5), 3rd shot (136yrds) was fat, barely covered water bounced off rocks, safely on the green.. 2 putts later netted me my first 79!! I still recall the story. GREAT round man!!

Finding fairways. Hitting clean irons, even if they go offline. Sensible chipping. Extending that distance where you are fancying a putt going in. Nice work.

Question for your viewers: At 21:51 Luke was able to find his ball after a tough shot. What if he couldn't find the ball? In a tournament, a crowd would have been there and they would have told him exactly where the ball was. So there is a discussion that in non-competitive play, we should be able to drop approximately where the ball went at no penalty; a Crowd-Found Ball. Otherwise, tour players get an unfair advantage of never losing a ball.
Yeah I know what you mean. Sadly we just have to play without that advantage

I just played 18 holes 3 straight days. Horrendous scores, 117, 121, and 131. But had fun doing it. Desperately need too fix my absolutely dreadful driver slice and gain some distance though. Also hit way too many open face irons.

This has been my goal for the summer. Early on, I was on pace, but i hit one into the water on the 18th because i hit the greatest drive of my life. Still got a few months left of golfing weather though so I hope to break it soon!

It’s a good feeling! Now just watch ur handicap start to come down 😊 I started the season on 14ish and now happily down to 10.4 🎉 All gains made by longer drives, more confident chipping and focusing on line & pace of putts

It's refreshing to see you guys play , I usually just break 90 and it makes me feel good that others can score doubles etc and not just me, when u had double bogey on 15th and duffed tee off on 16th , that's what happens me , I take the shock and misery of a double or treble to the next hole and then score another double, it's horrifying but that's why I'm an amateur
I'm not the type of player who looks at yards etc from the green and work out what club I need, I go by feel and instinct 👍😂
