As a Christian I used to think the last question Babylon Bee asks in every interview was cavalier and inappropriate, but I now think it's a great way to get the guest to open up about their favorite things about Jesus. Which makes it more interesting than if they had simply answered yes or no
She mentioned the founding documents. Recently, I learned something about those documents that made sense about what led to the civil war. The term was 'Inherent' rights which actually meant the rights being protected by such document were these men and other men who owned land in the colonies. That being said Americans over time evolved to fix the imperfections of the document over the centuries. Now in recent years those in power want to erase that document because it is the biggest true threat to absolute power.
Rights were always for stakeholders, ie, land owners. First it was royalty and nobles, then lesser lords, then the wealthy, and now everyone. Before everyone there were men, who would be called to war if politicians screw up, so they got to have a say before women did, who got their vote because they complained a lot, I guess.
It should not surprise anyone that the leading citizens of the day were the ones called together to form a new government and write a constitution. The document they produced including the Bill of Rights protected the rights of everybody as understood at the time meaning everyone's allowed to be armed everyone add the right to say or write anything they wanted etc.

I met friendly locals in Hawaii, good memories, especially Brothers and Sisters at a Baptist church, but one hotel worker was a flat out racist to me. I was polite to her, we would joke around, we had an oddly amusing disagreement over what rice was healthier ( brown or white ), then she blew up one day at me and was calling me "Haole" in a sneering manner. Her eyes looked filled with hatred. Wow! So much for the aloha spirit. Just proves that a place can be romanticized to the point of fantasy, and, yes, "When in Rome, do as the Romans". As "boomers" began to become adults, and became "activists" in the late 60's & early 70's, we were not prepared to kill anybody in opposition. Nor did we believe that we should ever have to. But as we got into issues, we sure found out that all the people we were opposing, were quite prepared to destroy any of US ! Organize, stay together in large numbers, elect representatives that will remain loyal to you, and yes stand up for Christ. ( All thesevothers do not).

Eeeerm… Miyamoto Musashi, if you mean him, is NOT fictional. He was pretty real and even wrote his own book that is like a must have in every Japanese company CEO office.
"Musashi" by Eiji Yoshikawa is a semi-fictional biography of Miyamoto Musashi. Haven't read it, but I expect it presents Musashi's ideas in a different format, for people who prefer novels.
@@WilliamMoses355 I read that book. It’s published as “Ten swordsmen” in my country. But still, even though the book is semi-fictional, the main characters themselves are still pretty real, like Takuan Soho is also a well-known historical figure.
