That's actually a great setup! Especially using the Pickup on a non electric acoustic. I'm 17 and have been Busking in the U.S for about 5 years now, I might be considering to switch over some of my gear to this stuff. And especially that Amp and pickup setup.
Would suggest considering (depending on your budget, and dedication) an AER compact mobile for your PA. After many years playing music on the street have found it produces the best tone of any other battery powered PA I have heard or owned. Works great for regular club gigs as well. Peace
Hey I've got a street cube EX and want to hook it up with another Street cube EX but I am wondering would it better to link it up with a street cube bass EX as the street cube EX has no bass ?
Man you're so lucky to have parents who don't object to your interests, busking in particular. I'm the same age as you and whenever I mention something in front of my parents about wanting to busk they always say "no you should focus on your a-levels"
Hey! Nice video. Just a few questions. When you busk, do you have a set of songs that you know really well, and you play those when you go out to busk, or do you learn how to play different songs every time? Awesome video, and good wishes form Australia!
I have quite a few videos talking about it but my newest video on the channel talks about how I make money in 9 ways - could be a cool one to check out if you want more info!!
i rly enjoyed watching your video. you're so cool and creative! i wanna busk too. did you just plug your mic into the amp? i wanna know how its usually done ^^
What size/dimensions are the suitcase you use? I’ve done some busking myself but I need a suitcase or something to make it easier to transport my equipment.
Hi Tim..... I admire you...... I subscribed..... and I have a Cube Street just like yours but in my review I did not say pleasant things about it...... I do have a question for you.... do you use rechargeable batteries in your Cube Street ?? ..... I find that the slightly lower voltage of the NiMh rechargeable batteries causes distortion when the volume is turned up (does not happen with new alkaline batteries or when running on the power adapter) ..... my outdoor rig is a Fender KXR60 running on an inverter from my vehicle cigarette lighter and it's not 'portable'..... I could not walk around with it the way you travel with your stuff..... but I am doing drums, bass, keyboard and vocals..... I was really disappointed with Cube Street although it may be cool for just guitar and vocals depending on the noise level around you.
I Pay at a Farmers market in the US every Saturday morning, in the summer what became a nice site income. Use the same amp and pickup. Best thing is the young kids that can't keep there eyes on you .
Hi! Sorry to disturb, but I really need an advice. I need a battery and an inverter that can power three amps, one for bass e and two for electric guitars (boss katana 50 mkII and Marshall code 50), and also a speaker for a microphone. I know nothing about this things so if someone could tell me the specifics that the battery has to have, he would make me a big favour. (Sorry for the bad english)
Hi exquisite person, good luck on busking. I would like to know the name of the device that you used for your acoustic to connect with the cube. Thanks, dear.
An electric guitar plugs in. You need to try out different amps to find one that suits your guitar. If you have single coil pickups like in most Fenders than you can get a look of hum. If you have a Gibson style guitar or one with humbuckers you’re less likely to get this. Basically, take your guitar into a music shop and try it out with different amps before you buy one.
Rude. A tool is meant to be used. Ever built a house with a hammer but never hit anything with it? Whoosh. Is also about a 400$ guitar.. use it how ever you want maaan. Great video Tim.
Tim Newman what case do you have I’m a 15 year okd busker and I want to get a good case rather than my thin padding case but I want someone’s opinion first
Hey Tim, it's great to see a teenager this talented! very inspiring. (even thou I am 27 haha) Is there a reason you didn't get the GS mini e, instead of your GS mini ? Second question : is your top rosewood? standard? mahogany? Asking all this because I am hesitating between some travel guitars, aspecially this GS Mini and a Martin Dreadnought Junior. Keep up the good work !
Hey Arthur ! Hope you're doing well and i do apologise for the delayed reply! Thank you so much man! When i got the taylor i dont think the E had come out yet so thats why also im not actually sure what top mine is ! I would HIGHLY recommend the Taylor!
Well I'm a little late to the party haha but dude can't even begin to tell you how helpful this was -- THANK you! Sweet voice, guitar chops & songwriting too -- threw you a follow/subscribe all over the web. Good to see so much positive reception around your work dude! Did you use a Go Pro for the filming??
Hi !!! You are very skilled kid ! I have three questions for you ... 1. Do you have or need a busking licence ??? 2. How much do you stay and busk in one place ? 3. How much money do you earn in a day ? Thank you in advance !!! Sorin / keyboard busker in all the EUROPE
Hi this is really random, but I just wanna say that I've experienced jamming with a busker earlier and I'm really sad cause I was so nervous that I messed up everything 😢 if you see this comment hope you can give me some advice or tips about singing infront of many people
Hello brother, I need your help, I just started playing on the street, just with that same amplifier and I need a saber as you do to connect it, since I use it with AA batteries but they do not last long and I would like to know otherwise what I can use, thanks.
for me on the local high street yeah it’s safe as it’s mainly adults and they appreciate what I do and don’t laugh cuz I can’t sing but in crowded places like town I think your likely. Get robbed by some little gypsy or nitty
Pretty cool, Tim, but how do you power your amp? If you plug into a public outlet won't they bust you for stealing electricity? I'm thinking about busking, but this is one question I can't find answered.
Tim Newman : No way. Really? I got to look in to that. How many AA batteries does it take to run the amp? And how long do they last? I've got a vintage Fender 2x12. I never saw anyone run these on batteries.
in 40 years old .just thought of busking .you gsve me a really great idea. thank you. and good luck always
How'd it go?
i cant even get in a lift by myself and u be travelling around London as if it's all in ur palm 😂
That's actually a great setup! Especially using the Pickup on a non electric acoustic. I'm 17 and have been Busking in the U.S for about 5 years now, I might be considering to switch over some of my gear to this stuff. And especially that Amp and pickup setup.
@Rohit Fusion 3 years later, I'm now a sound engineer for a studio and am composing my first album. Cheers from the U.S 🍻
this is so helpful, I have so much gear when busking I feel like I need a trailer or something to carry it all. a suitcase is a great idea thanks!
This was super helpful mate! Thank you very much! I'll definitely be picking up the mic and Roland cube for my busking adventures. Cheers!
Loved the video man very cool setup and want to maybe try busking soon
Thank you so much do it !

Cheers lad! Great video, and u got a lot of talent and drive! Hope all goes well for your music career!
Would suggest considering (depending on your budget, and dedication) an AER compact mobile for your PA. After many years playing music on the street have found it produces the best tone of any other battery powered PA I have heard or owned. Works great for regular club gigs as well. Peace
Thanks man ! will look into it £
Hey I've got a street cube EX and want to hook it up with another Street cube EX but I am wondering would it better to link it up with a street cube bass EX as the street cube EX has no bass ?
nice dude. im wanting to add drums and bass to my busking with a looper
Man you're so lucky to have parents who don't object to your interests, busking in particular. I'm the same age as you and whenever I mention something in front of my parents about wanting to busk they always say "no you should focus on your a-levels"
Thanks so much for this vid, that was literally all I needed to learn! Also, great editing!
Thanx Tim!!
Hey! Nice video. Just a few questions. When you busk, do you have a set of songs that you know really well, and you play those when you go out to busk, or do you learn how to play different songs every time? Awesome video, and good wishes form Australia!
At last a real busking Vlog
Great pickups - how do you set yours? Any tips on the string gauge or type - looking for a deeper softer acoustic sound dry without effect.
Hi tim, im a busker i was just wondering what you use to record your self (RUclips videos and whilst play through amps outside) thanks henry.
I'm curious. How much do you make busking? I am not brave enough to do it yet but I hope to one day
I have quite a few videos talking about it but my newest video on the channel talks about how I make money in 9 ways - could be a cool one to check out if you want more info!!
And thanks for watching!
i rly enjoyed watching your video. you're so cool and creative! i wanna busk too. did you just plug your mic into the amp? i wanna know how its usually done ^^

You go to the toilet before you start
Tim, does the amp rework on battery and hardwired to a source? Thank you! Good on ya mate.....
What size/dimensions are the suitcase you use? I’ve done some busking myself but I need a suitcase or something to make it easier to transport my equipment.

What do you recomend sir?
How about the electric supply? Is it rechargable?
I Pay at a Farmers market in the US every Saturday morning, in the summer what became a nice site income. Use the same amp and pickup. Best thing is the young kids that can't keep there eyes on you .

Nice informative video. Well done
Damn, that Taylor looks nice, would you recommend it?
good vid just a shame we didn't get to see you sing!
Hi exquisite person, good luck on busking.
I would like to know the name of the device that you used for your acoustic to connect with the cube.
Thanks, dear.
Nice vid. Kudos for that DIY strap ;)
Would have been better if there were links to the products used
Is it also good for electric guitar you think? And also can you connect pedals?
An electric guitar plugs in. You need to try out different amps to find one that suits your guitar. If you have single coil pickups like in most Fenders than you can get a look of hum. Rachel T for sure thanks man!
...Busking....!!!
You've got a soft case there so you put your nice Taylor guitar on the pavement with no protection? Jeez!
yupp yupp yuppy
They actually have a lot of padding, Mike - built into it! Very good cases.
@@TimNewman1 whooooosh
Rude. A tool is meant to be used. Ever built a house with a hammer but never hit anything with it? Whoosh. Is also about a 400$ guitar.. use it how ever you want maaan. Great video Tim.

Hello Tim I am a tourist could I play music as a busker in London?
Brooo plz tell ke which PA r u using?

How long do you usually busk for? What's an optimal duration for busking? @timnewman
Sometimes you can make 30 cents. Others 100 dollars plus for a few hours
Hi !!!
You are very skilled kid !
I have three questions for you ...
1. Do you have or need a busking licence ???
2. How much do you stay and busk in one place ?
3. How much money do you earn in a day ?
Thank you in advance !!!
Sorin / keyboard busker in all the EUROPE
The 3rd is the most annoying question ever
Hi tim do u use the street cube or street cube ex?
Hi this is really random, but I just wanna say that I've experienced jamming with a busker earlier and I'm really sad cause I was so nervous that I messed up everything 😢 if you see this comment hope you can give me some advice or tips about singing infront of many people
Hey man
Why did you choose the non ex version?
Thanks
Hello brother, I need your help, I just started playing on the street, just with that same amplifier and I need a saber as you do to connect it, since I use it with AA batteries but they do not last long and I would like to know otherwise what I can use, thanks.
Alejandro Domínguez Music what amp uses batteries
@@jackevans185 The Rolands do. But like he said, they don't last long. Maybe 6 hours worth. Less if you use it for guitar and vocals.
I have 3 sets of rechargeable batteries, plenty for a days worth of play (and more)
Is it safe to go busking alone? What are peoples thoughts.
Of course it is! Plus, look at all the weapons you've brought with you by the end
I've only been raped a few times while doing it......so it's not the worst but....ya know, no rape would be better!
for me on the local high street yeah it’s safe as it’s mainly adults and they appreciate what I do and don’t laugh cuz I can’t sing but in crowded places like town I think your likely. Get robbed by some little gypsy or nitty
Some will try n steal your stuff. I had to buy a cheaper guitar that instead of fender it said OFFENDER
How do you power your amp?
Hey dude, what kind of case do you use to carry the amp?
Hey! It's a case by Tripp luggage
Tim Newman cheers :)
would you recommand a Carrier bag for amp street ex?
Great video Tim, but where on earth did you spit your tooth paste when you where in that elevator :-)
Oooooooooooooooh, k.
I remember I was in dire need of a strap and I used a string as thin as dental floss and it held up for weeks😂
What's is the exact model of the cube street ex

Love form India 🇮🇳 brother ...

Hellyers Thanks Dave, haha
How long does the charger last?
+MrJoeyBoombotz on the amp ? It runs off AA BATTERIES & they're pretty good - tend to last about 11-20 hours
Pretty cool, Tim, but how do you power your amp? If you plug into a public outlet won't they bust you for stealing electricity? I'm thinking about busking, but this is one question I can't find answered.
Hey man , it is just battery powered - 6 AA Batteries - amazing I know 😀 amp is called a Roland street cube :)
Hi Tim, thanks for the shout back! Oh cool. A specially designed amp for busking! How awesome. I'll check it out. Thank a million.
You life in Surrey right?✌
Cool..you made it...how bout a video on actual gig
Are you wearing a camera on your head?!
How does your amp get powered?
SeriousRift h just through some AA batteries
+Tim Newman cheers!
Tim Newman : No way. Really? I got to look in to that. How many AA batteries does it take to run the amp? And how long do they last? I've got a vintage Fender 2x12. I never saw anyone run these on batteries.
Those Cubes are gutless and need cell batteries.
