    How did you learn all this? You are one of the most unknown woodworkers on youtube, but your skill level is well above 90% of the educators presenting content on this platform. I know you will have more work, so I will be on the lookout for your next post. Thanks for going into depth on the build, I learned so much, thanks.

    I'm a little late on the watch but always enjoy your watching your skills at work. There's two things I really like, one is that you use basically the same tools that most of the rest of us use, and the other is when your son comes into the shop to help. My first thought is "yep, good dad.
    Thanks for the good use of my time.

    29:10 I wholeheartedly agree. I know it's intentionally mid-century design, but generally shadow lines achieve what contrasting woods are sometimes used for. It's surprising what a bead, cock-bead, or chamfer can subtly add.

    Great job designing the complex joints and coming up with the jigs. Nice simply elegant piece of furniture. The 1/4 corner mortise could be adjusted with lie Nielsen file planes(might not be correct name). I have a whole set and they work really well. Designed for making wood hand planes. Not sure if they still making them.

    What a stunning piece of custom furniture. A question if I can. I noticed on a number of clamp ups that you didn’t use scraps between the clamps and the finished work. Do you not get any bruising/indents? Thanks from Australia. Your work is outstanding

    • @AndyRawls
      @AndyRawls  Год назад

      We use cardboard on clamp ups, especially with the bar clamps. If I don’t use it then it’s usually because it’s a part that still needs sanding.

    • @AndyRawls
      @AndyRawls  Год назад

      That’s actually a really good thought and the reason I don’t do it that way is it’s harder to control the grain orientation if you cut mortises into square parts. If you turn it first then you can place the mortises in the same orientation to the grain on all 6 post.
