Grilled all beef hot dogs/ beef and cheddar burgers/ baked beans/ cucumber-tomato- cheddar- mozzarella cheese salad seasoned with salt- pepper and garlic. Then tossed in ranch dressing

Thank you for sharing about food in your family growing up, I grew up much the same. There was always the cheapest bread and margarine, onions, potatoes, carrots, rice, lentils, milk, and an enormous bag of puffed wheat cereal. It feels weirdly like a blessing in hindsight since now it feels normal and comforting and i often prefer to eat the cheapest of foods!
I feel that exact same way.
I saved all the leftover bits and crumbs from tostadas, taco shells and taco chips in a baggie and used them to thicken up my homemade chili. It is awesome. You should try it! Smash em up in a sealed baggie, add it to your pot of chili as you're simmering.

We warm out tostado shells up before putting beans on them and other ingredients.
Wednesday night, and I made us shish kabobs using a small pork loin I got at the grocery outlet store. It was normally 5.50. But they had a 3.00 off sticker. So, I got it for 2.50. Then, I bought a bag of tater tots for 1.99. Used half the bag for breakfast. And used the other half of the bag for dinner. Got a free yellow onion and a free yellow pepper at our local library. They have a big refrigerator and get fruits and veggies from our local food bank to give away. So our dinner came to 3.50. And our breakfast I made up the tots as hashbrowns. And scrambled eggs from our hens. And made up gravy with hamburger that I added my homemade sausage seasoning mix too. Got a great buy with a coupon for a 3 pound chub of hamburger. Love to make cheap meals that look expensive. It's fun to find good cheap finds on food and elevate them. My hubby and I love sushi. But we can't afford to go out to eat it. So I learned how to make it. And it's really fun. I love to make weird kinds. Like pizza sushi. Cheeseburger sushi, breakfast sushi. Get creative! 😊

I been trying,to eat what we have. I made chicken tacos ,delicious. Then made Spanish rice, to go with it,also made chicken legs, in the oven, corn on the cob. Your meals are delicious.

Yes I do pantry challenges and it cuts my grocery bill and I save money for winter stock up I do it about every 3-4 months.. I have about $30 saved so far for winter food.. I try to come up with $200 for meat when it’s starts to get cold…. And I spend every dime I save for meat nothing else.. I like these types of meals too .. I been eating foods I have a little of as well for the last 2 weeks..

The kroger brand chorizo (it's by the brats and Italian sausage in the meat dept) is sooooo good. Less fat and not gritty, better quality meat than the kind in the tube. Just wanted to let you know if you ever get to try it. My store has it bulk ground and in links.

I don't know if steak ums still makes them but what I used to use up north is chicken steak ums for chicken quesadillas and then add some steak seasoning

I think it would be fun. I was in my freezer yesterday and found a package of stew meat I froze in 22. Today using a onion, celery and carrot and the meat I made a great stew. It was awesome.

I decided to eat what we have too. It's not much. But i think their is like 4 or 5 days of throwing things together from the freezer and cabnets.

On the 4th I'm going to make pregnant burgers. Will stuff them with my home canned chantrel mushrooms and cheese. Plant based spicy jack cheese for mine. Since I'm allergic to dairy. And regular cheddar cheese for my hubby. And mashed potatoes and gravy. And home canned green beans. I've been cooking for the past month, pretty much just using my store of foods here at home. Food prices are ridiculous. So glad I can and have a full pantry and freezers.

Yes, that would be fun. I’m attempting to free up some room in my freezers and finding some neat stuff in there. I’m Canadian, so we celebrated Canada Day on July 1. I canned strawberry jam and hubby did some yard work. We’re quite the party animals. lol. Happy 4th of July to you and Glen

I’m so silly. I saw you lay the chicken in the pan in the plastic just as you said I’m going to heat this up. I thought, oh no the plastic will melt into that new skillet!!!! Then realized it wasn’t plugged up. 😂

I wish we could have 60/70 degree temperatures we have already exceeded record highs here in Alabama. I have a chronic illness and these temp’s reek havoc on my health.
I'm so sorry you are going through that. I worked in Gulf Shores, AL for the summer months installed data cable in a factory...miserable. Was never more happy to return to California, this was in 1998 or so. I miss the Waffle House though.

I crafted more during the holidays, I'm a beginner and lately I haven't crafted but I will soon. It will all be on this channel.
On the 4th 🎉🎉🎉 we will have a cook out of Hot 🌭 dogs and hamburgers 🍔, baked beans,pasta salad,water melon 🍈, chips and onion dip and other things. My son and grandson plan on a huge fireworks 🎆 show. OUR neighbors come out to watch and cheer at the end.

I'm still at the nursing home.my kids came two weeks ago. My youngest son wanted to come. So he must have had a talk with the other two kids.If my daughter would let me stay with her for few months. I could get a new apartment quick. She has a great big house. Three baths, and lot's of bedrooms. But she doesn't want me there. I miss my cats so much,!!!!! I've been trying to find out how they are doing. But I can't get a hold of the lady yet. I've been trying to keep up with your videos. You're doing great job!!! Hi. I have seen that Carolina shredded cheese at H-E-B stores. We don't have H-E-B where I live but they have a Great Value brand with Carolina on it at Walmart that's pretty close.

The sticker winter scene. Those are deer, not elk. It's a buck, doe and fawn. Elk look totally different. Where I live, our valley has 2 different herds of elk. They are big, think horse size or bigger. We also have deer everywhere. Which they are much smaller. That picture is also wrong. Deer would not have a fawn when there is snow. They have them in June. We have a doe in our yard right now that has just brought her twin fawns out. And they are about 2 ft high. Their so cute. But will go up to eat all my plants. Grrrrr
You have to remember that it isn't an actual photo, it's a generated scene so not everything will be true to real life. I have to disagree, I thought it was deer but I looked closer and it's definitely elk. I also know what both of them look like, at a closer view I could see that it is elk. Elk have that patch of darker coat on their chest and if you look close at this scene you can see it. I also know that fawn come in June, again it's not real life it's just a generated scene that someone thought would look nice. We get deer everyday also, and they have eaten my plants too but that is nature.
