But their marriage only lasted for 3 and a half years. It was alleged that on December 28th 1988 just a few days before the end of their marriage Sean snuck into their house after she kicked him out after a fight over her settling down and having kids. She didn't want kids then and wanted to focus on her career. He tied her up and smacked her around while he was drunk and left her tied up for many hours. She somehow convinced him to untie her by telling him that she had to go to the bathroom. She ran to her car and drove off to the nearest police station to file a complaint. She dropped the charges later when she finalized her divorce papers and didn't want there to be a media circus.

I remember when my aunt came to visit me at Milton Hershey School and took me to the Harrisburg Mall and bought me True Blue on cassette! She was awesome still back then!
