I would have went with the Grey matte. I have an 2005 SLK 350 I can show you the mods I did. I changed the mirror covers to the 2011 type with the Led Amber arrow. I changed the side markers to clear with amber LED lights. Also I changed the headlights to the new lights with the LED day lights for about $350. I put front carbon fiber spoiler and trunk. I also put the side stick on fender AMG vents and the chrome AMG chrome hood vents 3 fins. It already had nice Mercedes Benz 17 rims and MEchilns on it. I painted the front bumper to make the new headlights look new and I am also going to change the fog lights and cover. It turns heads all the time some crazy hatter kicked a huge basketball sized duet in the Passenger door and someone scratched the hood so I'll have to repair all of the when I move from downtown Los Angeles with all of the homeless crazies drug addicts and criminals looking to vandalize your cars for whatever reasons.. I would have gone with a better looking rims although it was an upgrade the originals were dated and old man looking. To me the rap was a waste. Not that much of a difference other than the shine and imperfection coverup. Change the radio to an Android touch screen. I did like the black top though. I bought my 05 SLK for $4,500 and I didn't need any body work but it does have the check engine light and I hope its the same reason as yours...

I have the 2006 in white with now 120 miles yes paint chips easily I practically replaced lots of parts to the cost of $4,500 not including towing but For me it's better than having car payments it's a beautiful car & fun to drive as far as the top I think I went topless 5 times in 3 years. But I heard to keep it working you must use it more often I was told this car can make it to 300 miles in good maintenance but I just read only 150 when he trouble starts Hopefully not

You don’t mention the most important part as to why you got the car so cheap. What was the mileage when you purchased it?

Hey. My neighbor is selling his 2007 no engine lights 65k miles for 7k. Should I go for it? It hasn’t been driven in a year. I would probably have to do some maintenance on it. No physical damage, very well garage kept. The only thing is, I drove it and the steering wheel seems pretty hard in comparison with my model 3 Tesla and 2021 Highlander, do you feel the same way on yours? Thank you!

Yellow calipers. Silver oval tips. The car looks great so far. Just dunno about the glasspak muffler delete. It's a Mercedes and glasspak screams cheap... If this car is to be a flip, I'd leave out the exhaust mod. I think the car would appeal to a wider audience if it doesn't sound like it's got modifies exhaust.

Awesome litttle one... but be prepared for the top to brake down , i had issues 3 times and be prepared for transmission issues once u reach at least 130 or 140k miles. The turbine sensors get back and replacing them is about 5k in mercedes dealer and no one wabts to do that job due to programing it....
Thats why i sold my 2 last ones.... now i have a 2015 lesus is 350C for about a year now and no top issues nor anything !...
Dont get me wrong, i loved my 2 slk's but they give lots of top issues and like i said above 130k be ready for trans. issues...

Break not brake. I have owned 2 SLK R171's, a 200 and now 2007 55 AMG. The latter is over 100k miles now and not had a single issue with the top on either. I've not heard about any 'turbine sensor' problems. Did you service your trans ever?
