People ask me all the time why I would camp in a tent in the rain. It's the sound I hear when I get out there and sit still long enough for my brain to be quiet. The euphony of the rain hitting the tent as the crickets chirp and the frogs join in. It's the birds announcing the arrival of the dawn, the crackle of the fire as it warms me and the campfire coffee. It's the realization that I am the first person around to greet the day, making it all mine. There is nothing else like it in the world.
I like this channel and also TOGR one. You have given me the incentive to go camping next summer. Went through cancer treatments from Nov 2019-Apr 2021. Now in remission and getting stronger, also had surgery on my right hand last year and still healing from that.
Joyce, sounds to me like we are two peas in a pod. lol Over the last 4 years I've gone through multiple heart attacks, triple by-pass open heart surgery with a valve replacement and two total hip replacement surgeries. I too am still in recovery and found Luke's channel by chance. I'm dying to get out and do some overnights or a couple of nights of camping like this. If you ever get out to the Seattle, Washington area get in touch with me. Maybe we can lean on each other and do a camping trip. **Grins** Brian
I haven't watched your videos on a regular basis because I was out attempting to thruhike the Appalachian Trail. I got it half done (minus 24 miles), and was away for 5 months with a month off to recover from plantar fasciitis. A slip in the mud sent me home with a torn meniscus. It was sure nice being outside for an extended period of time. I hope to try again in 2025,once I heal up, but, at 70, nothing's guaranteed. Thanks for the videos. 👍
Hey Luke, just wanted to say how much I have been enjoying your new series of videos. Keep up the cool content and be safe out there. Strength and Honor.🐺
Luke. What a peaceful day it was seeing you and quiet moment of imagination that we can think of quiet. Thank you 🙏 keep doing them both andGod bless you and your family to. Wish your wife Suzy was with you to share this moment.
Kit very similar to that of my get-home bag. When you just need to kip down for a wee while in order to rest a little whilst you try to get home as fast as you can.
my stroke has really left me missing doing way similar adventures, i did the woodstove under the truck cap thing as well 10 years ago in Ak, i would drive onto Biglake in Wasilla, there would be a road every year across the lake. [ still is i am sure ] and ice fish.
My prayers for you dear soul out there. I trully mourn for ur loss but God will open another door hopefully. You just have to look for it. Trust me....i know this is true.
Not sure what was tactical about it. But it's a nice film. I like this format that was made famous by Bill Mason in those old Canadian canoe adventures.
I was beginning to wonder if your matches were going to light up. Cowboy camp with a string of electric lights, an air mattress, an inflatable pillow & a chair - tsk, tsk Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada
Open to advice; I'm slowly doing disaster prep in a city, and have a truck. So Shelter's sorted, and cooking, and limited power. Now I'm wondering solar to keep charged, or a 12 volt portable fridge, to keep food fresh. Suggestions welcome.
I never really tried civilian MREs or ones from other countrie's military forces, but I love all US Armed Forces MREs. I haven't had a bad one ever, I just like them all. Kinda funny, I guess--when I open the kits and the packages, it's like opening a Christmas or birthday present to me. I could live off those things! Of course, this isn't done anymore--but way back in the day, the MRE also included a couple of single non-filtered Camel cigarettes, for that satisying after-dinner smoke. Also came with a book of waterproof matches to light them, and even a chocolate bar and a little pack of chewing gum. Even a little packet of hard candy balls (fruit flavored) were included in some.
I love the format, but have to admit I was a bit disapointed the title did not live up to it's name "STRONG Storm". I was looking for pouring rain and a bit of thunder and lightning. Never the less beautiful scenery.
The Silent Movies were supplanted by the Talkies many years ago for good reason. Narration about what you are doing, when you are doing it and especially why you are doing it, provided a conversation that set your postings apart and above those who offered no more than voyeuristic silence. Please rethink your presentation. -- All the best to you and yours.
I can never understand people using knives to chop wood, that's what a small axe is for. But at least he is using matches. Ive seen another guy buy wax kindling strips and then light them with Sparks from steel. Totally pointless.
The color grading errors are unacceptable. I'm considering writing to Nature to suggest they reconsider your platform, and potentially cancel you. Postscript: I'm a man of modest height with abundant confidence, typically sporting sunglasses and currently sitting under a tarp.
Lol. I was about to get really mad. I thought this was a straight up ripoff of TOGR. Didn't realize you made a second channel. Standing down from red alert lol
I'm sorry I must have missed the episode where you bit of your tongue and became a mute lol whoever advised to you to start doing a silent video or if it was your idea ' big mistake , it sucks ! I wont subscribe or watch a silent movie!
Luke has a switch blade, look out!!!!!! Luke, it's a lot easier spitting wood with a hatchet as opposed to a knife. Luke is rubbing his hands by the fire, what else are you gunna rub? LOL 😆 Luke, I have a wiener for you to eat, and I think you'll like it little man!!!!

Very well put.
I like both your formats. The first one is informative and the second one is relaxing. Keep them both going to love it all.

Ahh just nature no pontificating. Perfect.
Really nice site and camp set up. Thanks for going through the trouble to share your experience with us !
I watch your other channel I like you talking. But I like this as well. I feel it has some value in it😊
I would love to go camping in the rain watching
The rain is relaxing
I know this is more editing, but for those of us want to get to sleep by the sounds of nature and getting the camping experience is awesome
Hello Luke, really enjoy A Quiet Place, helps me relax after a stressful day and dream of being in those places of JOY.. best to you :)Thank you

Always pack enough cordage. Well done sir. Hmmm the nearest tree in the direction i need is 30 feet away. No problem.

Keep them coming. Lifts my Mondays.

Good to see the Fern turn back to green.
Great video.
Very nice Luke 🤠
LOVE THE NO TALK
Thank you❤
It's so much better when you talk through it.
This is why this channel is named...a quiet adventure...
I like the quiet.
I like the quiet too
Cheers Luke 👍😎👍
Not sure what was tactical about it. But it's a nice film. I like this format that was made famous by Bill Mason in those old Canadian canoe adventures.
Hello Luke so beautiful and tranquil I have no words ,stay safe
Please explain the 2 tarps set up and your knots used
I know one can totally make one. But dang I love my green elephant poles.
Nice Luke!
I love the new channel. But it’s funny when I catch a glimpse of what appears to be you just itching to say something, but don’t. 😂
Stay strong Luke. So beautiful video
I was beginning to wonder if your matches were going to light up.
Cowboy camp with a string of electric lights, an air mattress, an inflatable pillow & a chair - tsk, tsk

👍 Nice.
You can be quite charming when you're quiet. 😂 But seriously, love these videos.

Anyway you can make longer videos? They are too perfect for only 20 minutes
Have you tested the reactive outdoor pop up tents
Awesome video! 👍
Not sure about it being “tactical” but I enjoy the content nonetheless

Hi Luke didn’t know you had a new channel ok great I will watch
Soooo many bushcraft enthusiasts me using charcoal starter fluid to light the fire but... I don't care! 😎
Hey Luke did you get help for your issues. I hope you are.
I like you talking!!!!
Ha Ha! Great Video!
👍
They watch you from the shadows
I bought a similar backpack like that off temu lol still can't pack it right lol 😂
These videos are just not as entertaining as the other ones. I live by myself & enjoy hearing you talk.
LUKE: Which format you prefer filming the regular or the quiet format?
Шикарно респект .
I love the format, but have to admit I was a bit disapointed the title did not live up to it's name "STRONG Storm". I was looking for pouring rain and a bit of thunder and lightning. Never the less beautiful scenery.
So what happen to the rain?

LONE╰_╯WOLF here I like to hear you talk to us buddy!!😮
Just think what a different video this would be if it was replaced with the musical score to the original Predator movie.
Just wondering why the same videos are posted like three days apart?
More ASMR no thank you, good night
TACTICAL COWBOY 😅😂😅😂Only thing TACTICAL about cowboys and girls was their boot spurs..😅 😂
I can never understand people using knives to chop wood, that's what a small axe is for. But at least he is using matches. Ive seen another guy buy wax kindling strips and then light them with Sparks from steel. Totally pointless.
TACTICAL?

UFF QUE ABURRIDO
Came for the rain, got nothing but wind…. Disappointing.
L
Why can you just cut down live trees?
Imagine caring.
“Oi you got a license for that cutting!?”
Pathetic
I'm sorry I must have missed the episode where you bit of your tongue and became a mute lol whoever advised to you to start doing a silent video or if it was your idea ' big mistake , it sucks ! I wont subscribe or watch a silent movie!
That’s why this channel is called A Quiet Place Adventure, made for those who prefer no talking 😊
No need for nasties just move on.

Remove asmr from the title
Why's that?
