I'm curious as to why you don't have the tarp cover the entrance to your tent? Wouldn't it make it easier to go from one to the other in a serious downpour?

johnstevenson is correct: Luke is doing a waterproof test. In one earlier video he had part of the tent under a tarp and he realized later that it invalidated that test night.

If he puts a tarp over any part of the tent, he would not be able to give it an honest review as far as, water leaks, humidity inside the tent and so on. And he tarp he is using is also under review. I love the continuity. He mentioned using that pad several times before giving a review - and here it is. I love seeing each piece of Luke's amazing kit. Also his amazing meals. I wish I had those things as a scout, growing up. Large aluminum tent poles and Top Ramen is what that time period offered.

Go to Lone Wolf Mtn. Set up tent, rig up tarp, make coffee & drink coffee, make dinner. Blow air on spoon to cool food start fire, time to go to bed, wake up fix the coffee pack up go home 🥸😂👍🏼
