Sony straight up has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I can't get a real human through either the chat or the phone and it's driving me up a wall. Been locked out of an account for 7 years now and they just refuse to even TRY helping me.

Giving them your email and gamertag means absolutely nothing. You need your credit card information and last transactions you made they will need the transaction numbers unless you give them that info they will NOT recover your account
Og info and og console numbers will also help a lot ! Got my stuff back like that since ps3 names by confirming serial numbers

What if you have your email and your password..but it goes straight to the 2 step verification thing and it tells you that it's gonna send a code number to your mobile....and then it never does...and then you go to the support page but you get a bot to chat with that can help you....if you just enter your email and password...that then sends you to the 2 step thing again...and never sends you the code you need in the first place????

Call ps customer service. They will ask for you sign-in ID then your first and last name and phnoe number for verification purposses.
Tell them you forgot your password and they will send you an email which will let you change your password. It shouldnt take more than 24 hours to recieve that passworld reset email.

Ive been trying to reset my password for 10 days. I know my email and have access to it, i just dont know my password. Ive submitted a password reset request every day for 10 days so i can play on my new ps5 and i have yet to receive that password reset link.

@@jumborambo9622 i did. I called the VERY SECOND the support line opens. Talked to someone who said they can change my email address over the phone. I made a new email while on the line with them and they sent a password reset.

So it’s not that easy. You have to provide info to PlayStation like numbers off the PlayStation that the account was created on, or email and you have to be able to access it, or they can reset to a new email but you have to be able to provide purchase data. Nice try but it’s not as easy and a couple clicks.

sony locked my account for no reason and even Sony is not able to unlock it. i have bought a ps5 and ps plus und 20 Games for nothing. i can trough all in the bin. if i wait 20 ours to get support from sony they just laugh about it. they told me they know its their problem no mail gets to me or other users to recover the accounts they canceld without any reason. they know everythink. if i ask what you done to fix it. they laugh and say nothing. we wait untill the user makes his 10-20 our wait or more to get to a customer Service and then we tell them to make a new email adress maybe it works then. and could also lose all your progress in game in various games. but they dont care. they have the monopol and just laugh about their customers. Sony knows its not their Email or their fault the Account was canceled, they know its on their side. but they don´t even think about doing anything to help and support their much paying customers to get what they payed for. they leave all the Problems they caused on the customer. and the customer has to put all the time and effort into something that should work flawless cause thats what they payed a lot of money for.
