Good question: Used to do that back in early days, but one day we figured this out.. So.. because you want to the flaps to be activated by the flight modes only, not the switch.. if you use proportional, it will mess up the mixes and make it too hard to get everything lined up if you move a flap lever.. It can also assault a limiter.. This way, the flaps move perfectly proportional to the flight modes and trims.. battle tested.. The flap switch is really the flight mode switch. This whole thing assumes you mechanically line up the flaps at the middle position, and line them up mechanically best you can, then subtrim them at the end points.. Its also critical to use small up and down values at first, to confirm all directions.. then get it all moving the right way.. then roll in the larger values of Zero/Mid/Down
Thanks for the guide, but does your delay still work? I mean, do flaps go down easily or instantly? I have set delay in menu, but it does not have any effect, so I have to delay them in basic servo setting page, but then flaps go slowly but ailerons and elevator go instantly (can't slow them down the same way obviously). Thanks
@@TomislavReskovic There is a delay when transitioning from one flight mode to another. Don't use the delay in the Butterfly Menu. Here's how I do mine. ruclips.net/video/Vx75-F-ycug/видео.html
thank you for the great explanations

Why not just use Proptional for butterfly?

@@iflyem3582 thanks, that worked great, funny that delays in butterfly mode do not work though. Happy flying!
