Maybe to make it have more impact i think just one scene clarifying his nacionality before that line would've solve it, but as i said, maybe It didnt matter that much

Get into communication or marketing not screenwriting if you want to be a writer. I live here in Los Angeles. Two of my friends are both trying to be writers. One study screenwriting while the other study marketing/communications and would read and take classes on film.
The one who is now working on in television is the one who studied marketing. She got her foot in the door at the CW as a marketing person. Once she got more pull, she started showing them scripts she been working on. Now she writes for a few shows.
The screenwriter has been struggling to get any of her work looked at. Since she really has no way to get into the film industry

Eventually she got promoted to events coordinator at premieres for shows. She hosted one of the Riverdale and Stranger Thing watch party. She said it because of her experience working with the CW, that the studio executives for Jane the Virgin And The 100 decided to take a look at her scripts.

Honestly can not thank the costumer enough for putting Andrew Garfield in the black suit jacket with broad defined shoulders for the iconic scene. Like really do feel like that was just as pivotal as the performance and soundtrack and everything like it just makes that whole moment such a cathartic experience imo because the character up till then had just been kind of a sweetheart and never really stood up for himself like that and now all the sudden he just seems like confident and like taking up space and seeming masculine just😘😘😘perfect
Legitimately has the same energy of like a woman showing up to divorce court with a fur coat and having the satisfaction of looking down on their partner begging for them back. Unmatched. Greatest scene of all time.
