I feel like short, replayable RPGs like this are really underrated lately. Of course, I'm a huge fan of CyberConnect, so I'll definitely be grabbing this sometime, though I'm really hoping for a physical release. Also, I'm a complete sap, so I know I'll keep resetting until I get an ending where I save everyone xD
I definitely plan to play this game eventually. I love the concept, art and story, but will likely wait for a sale or a physical release down the line.
This game was fantastic. I got turned onto this one thanks to some friends who are fans of the series this is a part of (this is a prequel), and I'm really motivated to try the other games when I can, although they have very different mechanics. I really hope this sells well enough that we can get more games like this, because this game was a joy from start to finish.

Shorter RPGs are so underrated compared to the big and bloated ones that a lot of people miss out too often, this one included. Can't wait to play it for reals once I get some free time myself, but I'd rather take the safer routes to grasp the mechanics while also ignoring the Soul Cannon to get the true ending on my first try.
What a well done review! This will be a game that I will probably be picking up at some point. It has a lot of depth and charm that I find to be irresistable because I normally wouldn't play these types of games. I appreciate you showcasing this game and for the content on your channel.
We're totally on the same page. You won't regret doing the true ending. It's also faster to do it in a ng+ run, totally worth your time. Even the 100% is nice to see a ton of cute friendship events 😅 It's one of my favorite game from 2021.
I hope they consider maybe doing a limited run someday, I think you’re not the first to say that :3 fingers crossed as it’d be great to see more people try it! :)
@@JRPGJungle I'm just super old school and love my physical copies. Some games do end up getting a physical release but just later on like how untitled goose game did or Kena.
I think I read somewhere that they are going to do a physical release and were looking into partners to get it done, however that article was from around november 2019 so yeaaa.. not sure how it's going now haha
@@davebababooey261 that's around the same time I seen the Japanese trailers for the game. Problem is that's it can be hard for small devs and indie devs to get their games out there, let alone have the money for a physical release. Still I'll hold out some hope for a physical release.
Are you able to confirm if you buy the PS4 version, you'll also get the PS5 version too? If so, I'll pick up there (it's like getting two games for the price of one). If not, I'll pick up on Xbox, which is my preferred place to play.
I was sent a code for PS4 (didn’t realize I’d have a PS5 when I got it), but when playing on my PS5 I was only able to play the PS4 version, so that should answer your question :3
Thanks for another great review. I personally don't think I could play a game where children (could) die. As both a parent and having lived through some terrible experiences, I couldn't deal with it psychologically.

It looks like the offspring of Rocket Slime and Valkyria Chronicles, both of which I loved so it will get a purchase from me...eventually.

This is a game I seen awhile back that I was hoping would come to the west, but with no physical release so far makes this a no pick up for me.
