Having just started a job as a junior chef in time for Christmas I can confirm flame throwers are the way to cook a turkey...

I choked, I think he almost legit swore before he realized.
It's a good thing that the flamethrower is on the same side of the kitchen as the fire extinguisher. It violates _far_ fewer health code standards than most kitchens in Overcooked.
Is "a flamethrower" even a thing in Health Code Standards?

I feel like putting the flame thrower on the conveyer belt might have sped things up. meant that you wouldn't need to go twice round for veg. but a points a point.
There are even two flamethrowers. I'm embarrassed not to have thought of that myself.

Okay, so in England “pigs in blankets” are sausage wrapped in bacon, in Pittsburg PA “pigs in blankets” is sausage wrapped in seasoned cooked cabbage, and in other parts of the US (other parts of PA and NY at least) “pigs in blankets” are little hot dogs wrapped in pastry dough.
I don’t know why but I find that interesting. So many different ways to warm and wrap cooked pork😂

That’s so much better than what I heard, which was “prison blankets.” After getting dunked in water twice, the speaker on my phone is . . . not great.
In rougher parts of England pigs in blankets is a dead police officer rolled up in an old carpet and dumped in a ditch.
Pigs in blankets were always a sausage wrapped in a pancake (I grew up in New England) and is always a breakfast food. Sausage wrapped in bacon sounds delicious, as does sausage wrapped in cabbage.
How is 'jane with a flamethrower' the only OX video of overcooked where everything ISN'T on fire?
Now if it was Mike with the flamethrower...

Christmas elf Luke reminds of the old tale of Tall Rick... as in someone has clearly mislead him about his origin story (he's probably one of Santa's out of wedlock children)

Of all people in the Oxboxtra crew to cook a turkey with a flamethrower, I DEFINITELY expected it to be Jane.
Overcooked is just great. It's a load of fun. Very, very much fun desperately trying to keep on top of things and not let your friends down while the world swiftly burns.

I adore how good a mood everyone seems to be in around the Xmas challenges. I'm also immensely curious about the filming schedule? Does the real draw happen off camera, then the actual challenges so they know the points to film the studio segments in bulk? Do they know the points in the studio segments at all or am I just imagining that they reference them sometimes? Is there a gaming setup in the studio that I was unaware of so they can film everything in order for verisimilitude? Is Andy even real or is he the default character for high end motion capture cgi, as he is for so many things? Will 2019 bring us the behind the scenes content literally ones of fans are clamouring for? Will I ever finish writing this comment? Can I resist the urge to finish by saying 'find out next week, same bat-time, same bat-channel'?
1. They film all the in studio parts at the same time and film the gameplay later
2. They don't know the scores in studio bits, which is why they never mention it, but whoever edits puts it on the screen for later
3. Andy is not real, he is the ghost of a victorian child.
1&2: I suspected as much, but wasn't sure if I remembered them talking about who was leading in previous years.
3: Makes worrying amounts of sense
Didn't know what I needed was more Jane karaoke- wonder if it was the Sea of Thieves grog that made her exercise her pipes or something more traditional?
