I love the ordinary, but it’s so hard to figure out which products to use. About five of their serums claim to help with post acne marks. How am I meant to be able to figure out which one to choose. So confusing! I like to keep my skincare routine quite simple, so I want to pick a product that is right for my skin, but it’s really hard to choose which one I need
Don't know if this helps but personally i like to keep my routine as short as possible (to minimise any possible irritation) so multi-targeted serums are great for me . I'm pretty interested in buying the balancing and clarifying serum because, from an ingredient standpoint, it seems to help clear acne marks and soothe the skin in a very gentle way. I have combination and sensitive skin and my acne marks are mainly PIE. You should definitely consider this serum if: - you have oily/combo skin because it also reduces the shine you get throughout the day - you have irritated/sensitive skin and you need something gentle that also helps with soothing the skin - you use a lot of actives or products that tend to overly strip your skin because the lactococcus ferment and ectoin in the serum help heal your skin barrier. Hope this helps! (And sorry for the yapping session)
@@_ngugi_ thanks you for your advice. Yes I don’t like a big skin routine either. It’s just always hard for me to pick what to use lol. I might try this product and see how I go
Ok….now a good question. Which product is the best for acne prone skin, oil skin, post acne marks??. - balancing & clarifying serum - aloe + NAG serum - SA serum ?
Hmmm, I am not sure if there is necessarily one that is better than the other but they would all work well together for the skin type/concerns that you have. I would say, using the SA Serum and the new Balancing & Clarifying Serum would be a great pairing as Salicylic Acid is great to have when you're acne prone and the new serum will help address oil, acne marks, and texture You could skip on the Aloe + NAG serum as the new serum contains NAG.
can you please tell me if it’s ok to use Paula’s choice weightless advanced toner before Timeless C Serum? The PH confuses me. Will the Vit C still be effective?
Thanks for all your reviews. I always stay tuned as you have help me understanding all this different serums and creams etc. one question i have for this review, you didn’t mention how you layer it in the AM. I know you always start with a cleaned face, mist and i know the ordinary amino acid +B5 is always there but when do you layer this new serum? Thanks!
I’ve been using this serum for a week and I’m so impressed. It does clarify and balance just as the name calls it. It wears GORGEOUS under make up under my sunscreen - doesn’t peel, doesn’t dry out my skin, but adds brightness and increases longevity of my makeup up. It does help to reduce sebum production in a very gentle way. Wow thank you for this recommendation!
Can I please ask you a question? I received Naturium Tranexamic acid and it was a brown color. Is that ok to use? There is no date on the bottle. That’s the problem with Amazon that’s where we have to get things in Australia. I’ve gone through two bottles of Timeless 10% c should I try the 20% now? Thank you x
Great review, thanks Ashely! I hit 40 and my dry skin has turned more combo with an oily t-zone. I’m wondering if I could use this just on my nose? Those pores and sebaceous filaments are scary looking 😝 Can’t wait to try this!

You are so welcome and I am so happy to hear that 🥰 I have been using it after Vitamin C and before moisturizer. I still use the Amino Acids yes but not as often as I have been using the Glow Recipe Bright Essence Toner before Vitamin C and yes I use the facial mist too... I am going to share an updated skincare routine soon.
My husband is from Calvary and our son married a Canuk and lives in Edmonton. My husband misses “Timmy” 😝 when we go to Canada we have to stop there first thing! WOW! The Ordinary is really GREAT! The newest products have been wonderful! Thanks Ashley😍🥰 you are the BEST♥️
Hmmm, I personally would choose something more nourishing on the skin. If you have sores you may want to address those first by seeking a professional. The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5 serum is very hydrating though...
Try triple paste with zinc oxide, Yep the baby butt cream. Smooth it on at night after cleansing. You can top with Cerave healing ointment. My derm. recommended it & it has a multitude of healing properties. Works wonders! Two questions: do you use enough spf before going in the pool? And do you throughly cleanse your skin head to toe after being in the chlorine, etc?
He needs to make more appearances but filming with him in the room is challenging as he always wants my attention lol! He has his own Instagram account if you want to see him over there in the meantime🥰 instagram.com/theofficialberkley/
This sounds interesting. The Ordinary is really hitting it out of the park lately.
They really are! I have been super impressed 👌🏻
4:26 Ingredients. You're welcome.
The new product will probably be pimple patches just like The Inkey List did

Either alpha arbutin or the one with aloe vera Nag or both better morning and night, maybe alternating

Very interesting this new serum. Oh Oh….another purchase? Thanks for introducing this to us. I hope Berkley is keeping cool ❤
I like how they are adding new offerings to the line up. That next drop tho… 🖤
Can it be used with niacinamide in the morning and Glycolic acid at night?
Interesting!! Not sure I need it. May include it on my next Ordinary order.
Will this help reducing the hormonal acne?
