Slime boy is clearly new to voice acting and needs a better mike, but he is genuinely likeable. I like the band's music, and slime boy is such a chill dude. If him, the purple hair axe girl, and the werecat went on to start a traveling band, that would make a much better show. Slime boy nation!
To be quite honest, I think that Spice Guardian High is the kind of show, that was standing at the edge of the abyss and fell into it, it had opportunity to be something decent, but unfortunately was pushed into it by the lack of proper direction, and if people responsible for the show being put together were slightly more strict, more competent, if they just could do the job of showing animators how to do better when these obvious animation mistakes happen, if they could require from background artist to properly construct scenery instead of abusing unfitting textures and PNG images, if they could just ask some voice actors to fix SOME of their fucking lines and buy that dude who played this character a normal mic already holy fucking shit, then people wouldn't be so fucking mad.

Can't say I disagree but it actually shows that it had potential (or has of there is another season). As much as the "trailer" (it doesn't deserve that name) shows nothing but the ones making the show only. At least they know how to make some good scenes, and side characters (that purple haired girl I have liked her in all her clips). But yeah many more terrible scenes, audio issues, many scenes look weird for being badly animated, and the worst the main cast being the most boring is a huge problem. But if they actually take the good criticism (or some at all) and not just look at the "is garbage" no explanation. But sadly most take the second type of criticism or change nothing at all

There's multiple writers for these episodes. The older ones were usually just Kate Leth. She still writes portions of these episodes. No idea if she's writing the ham-fisted parts but those parts I just try to keep out of these clips as they didn't contribute to the overarching story in anyway nor did they give any character development for key characters.

They could just be trying to find their footing figuring out what kind of show they want to make. I know a lot of great shows that had nearly unwatchable first seasons, especially Star Trek the next generation season one which in my opinion is way worse than this series. At least in high guardian the characters are allowed to show emotions and have character drama, and the characters in next gen season one were somehow even more preachy than in high guardian.

If the show's main cast were the purple girl, SnapDragon and Slimeboy, i would probably like this show more, because these characters are the only ones i actually like. All of them have nice personalities and their own quirks (and i am not counting bad mic as a quirk).
Ngl I genuinely enjoyed this part of the show. The maincast is still really weak, but I think all the characters had nice moments here. Definitely the best arc in the entire show

I still haven’t picked up this series, but from the clips I’ve seen it seems to me that they went in completely inexperienced in animating and scriptwriting and learned as they went. Cause this seems much better than the clips I’ve seen from the first episodes lol
I like how this show sucks, we all know it does, but at the same time we all enjoy it in different ways. Some for how much it sucks, others in a more stockholm-syndrome type of way. It's wholesome in a twisted sort of way. I feel so strange finding myself engaged in the story, actually listening instead of waiting for the joke. Gonna be VERY honest here. Idk the context but I’m not gonna lie the little dramatic love triangle here was actually pretty good. And I as much as I can’t believe I’m dying this; I can kinda relate to Rose. Like I’m pretty sure that everyone knows how it feels to be heartbroken and all. But DAMN I felt that when she was sitting by herself and started crying. A whole mood honestly. Just wish the rest of the show was written a lot better like this scene here. Then again though maybe not knowing the context is what makes this scene better who knows. Oh also if anyone wants to spoil it. Trust me, go ahead I really don’t care tbh
Pink-haired girl isn't in love with her friend(at least for now), but she's an asshole and her friend doesn't feel like hanging out with her for a while. Mermaid boy and the wizard do like each other a little. Purple-haired girl was an asshole to mermaid boy and he's mad at her just like the wizard is mad at pink-haired girl, although there are hints she actually likes him. See that dead bird? That was purple-haired girl's doing, she's that reckless(and a bully) but she cares a lot about mermaid boy. Pink-haired girl is even more self-centered than the bully of the show and can't take a hint, so she keeps making things worse.
I never even watched this anime and I know everything only from these short videos So here five things I've learned: 1. This show sure is something 2. Purple hair girl is best. 3. Snap dragon must be protected. 4. Slime boy is precious little being and I must hug him. 5. for all I care everyone else can die in hell.

There’s a few terrible scenes and the dialogue can be pretty bad, but aside from that I’d say the show’s fine. Nothing too special, but occasionally pretty neat.
There are lots of terrible parts. That doesn't mean there can't be good ones. There are other weird dialogue portions from this episode. Like a bully comes up and hates on crossdresser for no reason and says unnatural lines. Then purple hair defended cross dresser by infinitely praising them. Very weird set. I get what they were going for, but unsatisfying execution
the studio behind it had a lot of controversy at the time of production, plus the trailer on 2019 hyped it up so much, everyone was expecting a lot better and they just got sub-mediocre.
It's so..strange when there is a decent episode in this series...osea at least to me it feels like a normal episode of animated series with GF or Mlp, 4:45: Fff, okey definitely Ama and Snad have the best jokes in the series.

2:40 I think they intended to make us feel sorry for Rosemary here, but honestly they just made her look like a total child, like Snapdragon said to the bully( don't know her name sorry) they want to be alone and yet Rosemary STILL wanted to join, from the little clips I've seen she sound like a horrible person, careless, selfish and yet she's a really boring character. Snap: (smiles at her, like saying "thank you" and after that, extends his arm to Sage to invite her)

It's always ok to give your friend some space. It doesn't mean officially leaving them, but giving them time to breathe and think about things without doing anything irrationally. Sometimes we need to step back. And when your friends do, respect that. Respect that they are human, and they need time. If we just keep rushing and pressuring our friends, things will become strained. Give them support when they decide to step back. And welcome them back when they decide to communicate things out. As you can see, protag does the very opposite thing compared to antagonist. And funny enough, antagonist was the adult in the situation. Even with her flaws, she understood her friend more than the protag. I actually hope that the antagonist and her friend work things out, while I think its better that the protags find their hope elsewhere if pink hair girl won't respect her friend's boundaries and wants.
I'm so glad the main criticism is towards the writer Kate Leth because this series had a lot of potential before Marge decided to bring her to the team. I'm also glad Rosemary is getting a lot of criticism because that's Kate's literal self insertion character
You know, I really can’t say this show is as bad as everyone’s making it out to be. The animation is stiff, and the script is wanting, but it could be a lot worse. It seems like exactly what it is: a show from a producer that’s never made a show before. Things will get better with time. They’ve got to have room to learn and grow.
Even though the animation it still looks for kids and not at all like anime, the direction in this part was decent. Like if they changed directors for this sequence? Or was one of the few parts that were actually "fixed". This project had potential, sadly it was controlled by angry feminazis that hate men and have their own political agendas. If they pushed that aside and focused just in making a good show, this could have been watchable. Sadly this is just a small pond of water in a huge dry desert of crappy political and cancel festering culture.

Can't say I disagree but it actually shows that it had potential (or has of there is another season).
As much as the "trailer" (it doesn't deserve that name) shows nothing but the ones making the show only.
At least they know how to make some good scenes, and side characters (that purple haired girl I have liked her in all her clips).
But yeah many more terrible scenes, audio issues, many scenes look weird for being badly animated, and the worst the main cast being the most boring is a huge problem.
But if they actually take the good criticism (or some at all) and not just look at the "is garbage" no explanation.

There's multiple writers for these episodes. The older ones were usually just Kate Leth. She still writes portions of these episodes. No idea if she's writing the ham-fisted parts but those parts I just try to keep out of these clips as they didn't contribute to the overarching story in anyway nor did they give any character development for key characters.

Legit can't understand how bad the first few eps were because of 1 writer. I was barely laughing and just face palming till the rest of the team joined. The bird joke in it self feels like it had more effort then most of the past jokes

They could just be trying to find their footing figuring out what kind of show they want to make. I know a lot of great shows that had nearly unwatchable first seasons, especially Star Trek the next generation season one which in my opinion is way worse than this series. At least in high guardian the characters are allowed to show emotions and have character drama, and the characters in next gen season one were somehow even more preachy than in high guardian.

If the show's main cast were the purple girl, SnapDragon and Slimeboy, i would probably like this show more, because these characters are the only ones i actually like.
All of them have nice personalities and their own quirks (and i am not counting bad mic as a quirk).
Ngl I genuinely enjoyed this part of the show. The maincast is still really weak, but I think all the characters had nice moments here. Definitely the best arc in the entire show

I like how this show sucks, we all know it does, but at the same time we all enjoy it in different ways. Some for how much it sucks, others in a more stockholm-syndrome type of way. It's wholesome in a twisted sort of way. I feel so strange finding myself engaged in the story, actually listening instead of waiting for the joke. I guess those dorks did something right but perhaps maybe it was meant this way the whole time?

Gonna be VERY honest here. Idk the context but I’m not gonna lie the little dramatic love triangle here was actually pretty good. And I as much as I can’t believe I’m dying this; I can kinda relate to Rose. Like I’m pretty sure that everyone knows how it feels to be heartbroken and all. But DAMN I felt that when she was sitting by herself and started crying. A whole mood honestly. Just wish the rest of the show was written a lot better like this scene here. Then again though maybe not knowing the context is what makes this scene better who knows. Oh also if anyone wants to spoil it. Trust me, go ahead I really don’t care tbh

See that dead bird? That was purple-haired girl's doing, she's that reckless(and a bully) but she cares a lot about mermaid boy.
Pink-haired girl is even more self-centered than the bully of the show and can't take a hint, so she keeps making things worse.

This doesn't seem bad? I'm confused. I have seen dozens of clips which the story seems like trash but this clip alone seems pretty good.
There’s a few terrible scenes and the dialogue can be pretty bad, but aside from that I’d say the show’s fine. Nothing too special, but occasionally pretty neat.
There are lots of terrible parts. That doesn't mean there can't be good ones. There are other weird dialogue portions from this episode. Like a bully comes up and hates on crossdresser for no reason and says unnatural lines. Then purple hair defended cross dresser by infinitely praising them.

It's always ok to give your friend some space. It doesn't mean officially leaving them, but giving them time to breathe and think about things without doing anything irrationally.
Sometimes we need to step back. And when your friends do, respect that. Respect that they are human, and they need time. If we just keep rushing and pressuring our friends, things will become strained. Give them support when they decide to step back. And welcome them back when they decide to communicate things out.
As you can see, protag does the very opposite thing compared to antagonist. And funny enough, antagonist was the adult in the situation. Even with her flaws, she understood her friend more than the protag. I actually hope that the antagonist and her friend work things out, while I think its better that the protags find their hope elsewhere if pink hair girl won't respect her friend's boundaries and wants.

You know, I really can’t say this show is as bad as everyone’s making it out to be. The animation is stiff, and the script is wanting, but it could be a lot worse. It seems like exactly what it is: a show from a producer that’s never made a show before. Things will get better with time. They’ve got to have room to learn and grow.
Even though the animation it still looks for kids and not at all like anime, the direction in this part was decent. Like if they changed directors for this sequence? Or was one of the few parts that were actually "fixed".
This project had potential, sadly it was controlled by angry feminazis that hate men and have their own political agendas. If they pushed that aside and focused just in making a good show, this could have been watchable. Sadly this is just a small pond of water in a huge dry desert of crappy political and cancel festering culture.

Why does the axe antagonist have more empathy than the main character? I get character arc for Amaryllis but I also don’t think the main character of all people should be getting a reverse arc, especially when they’re supposed to be even remotely likeable..
