How to handle powdered alkali safely in the dairy

It’s important to keep safety top of mind when using any detergents or chemicals around the farm, especially a high strength powdered alkali like Quantum Powder. In this short clip, FIL Area Manager Tom Laurent gives some quick tips on how to safely use powdered alkali in a wash. Remember to:
✔️ Wear protective clothing (eyewear, gloves, overalls and apron)
✔️ Make sure the water is the correct temperature and not too hot
✔️ Use a designated alkali measuring jug
✔️ Add the powder slowly to the wash tub
✔️ Always check with your FIL Area Manager if you have any questions.
