Me and the wife have been wanting to take the kids to cannon beach or seaside. We also love driving over the Astoria bridge as we are from NWW. Great video really hits the spot and drove it home. Great waves sound 👍🤟
Cannon Beach is a beautiful!! Haystack rock is fun a low tide. The traffic is absolutely horrible in the summer at the beaches here. I grew up in Minneapolis, winters are frigid and summers are humid. I like The PNW because the weather is mild, no snow and not humid!!
In terms of depth and reliable detection etc would you say the nokta find x pro is comparable to the minelab x terra pro, ive been meaning to buy my first metal detector for the longest, should i save on the find x pro or just get the minelab x terra pro?
The FindX Pro is a fantastic detector. 3 of my buddies have one and I will be selling the XTerra Pro to get the FindX Pro. Jim had found 8 rings in the last couple weeks with his FindX Pro and one of them was gold. The Xterra Pro has a huge handle grip and is very uncomfortable to swing for more than an hour.
Friend, how deep can this device detect? I'm sorry if you said that in the video. I'm from Brazil and I don't speak English. As it is now arriving in my country, there is no video talking about it. Is it really worth buying? Grateful!
The FindX Pro was very stable in the wet sand in beach mode, field program was unusable, park and jewelry were chattery. This beach was very extreme black sand conditions, metal detectors just do not perform well in this black sand.
Hey Streak, a friend in CA sent me a snuff box of their black sand. There’s is pure and most detectors set to reject iron, won’t hit a silver dollar on the surface. He invented the surf pi to work there.
Streak, it was the surf pi. Only practical on places like that black sand because nothing else will penetrate it. Newer machines may get an inch or two, that’s it. Sadly, there’s not much left on the beaches. A friend of his that was as hard core at beach hunting as you are on dirt. He went 3 times a day to the beach. Had special access to locked gates not open to others. Used to clean up on gold rings. The last few years he detected, hardly found any gold. He watched all the weather and tide reports like a scientist so when he couldn’t find anything, may as well stay home. I think he got Parkinson’s or MS from the Covid shot, ruined his health.
How far from that beach do you live? Hows the cost of living over there/ job market? Im in Va. Have been most my life. Debating which state i eventually wanna try next b4 get to old.
We live about 60 miles to the Beach, But that is not a good beach at all. I am not sure what the cost of living or the job market is in my area. I live a comfortable, happy and simple life on less 1000 a month. The thing with Oregon is the lack of sunshine. Salem Oregon has 77 sunny days per year. For about 8 months out of the year it is raining, drizzling or cloudy with a chance of rain. Every few years we will get a few inches of snow for a couple days and it is not humid here in the summer. The climate is mild here....perfect for metal detecting.
On iron oxide bench tests, the Deus 2 spanks my other detectors.....but bench tests are not reality!! Every beach is different!! All detectors struggle in this dense black sand. I have had a couple iron oxide bench test videos.
What made you choose this particular spot? I’ve seen another video of a gentleman can’t remember his tag. He hunted this same spot didn’t find much either. Target those hotels when they aren’t looking. 👀 I found a silver dollar at my hotel the last trip we went on.
Magnetic sand reject must be on. If the magnetic reject would be set to off, the detector would overload when pumping or swinging the coil over the surface of the beach.
Jim numbers were at 25 when that penny was in sand at 1:26 Never had 25 on lengend for penny. He must have been in beach mode. I rock the field 2 almost 100% of time. Switching to all metal when I have to. crazy black sand. Ya your sand is not fluffy. Went to beach yesterday. Struck out hard. My worst day at the beach so far in career. Oh well found alot of stuff on the way home to make up for it. Found stuff in the dump. New cooper baseball glove, sunglasses etc
Lincoln City! We spent an hour and a half at Taft, Jim found 2 rings there. Then we went to D River for about half an hour and didn't find a single target, then we went Chinook Winds and the black sands there was out of this world, this video was from Chinook. All together I spent maybe 2 hours hunting in the sand yesterday and only found a few pieces of melted canslaw, 4 coins and a fishing sinker. Jim and I used to go to Seaside after the big volleyball tournaments, thats a waste of time too. Not enough people spend time sunbathing or swim at the Oregon beaches to make it worth metal detecting there.
My 9" coil has to be sent in for service. I used the 11x13 D2 coil for about 40 minutes on the beach and only found a bottlecap, OREGON COAST SUCKS FOR METAL DETECTING!!
Merhaba

Tbm queria saber
Please try the wet sand. Want to see how well this machine does there
The FindX Pro was very stable in the wet sand in beach mode, field program was unusable, park and jewelry were chattery. This beach was very extreme black sand conditions, metal detectors just do not perform well in this black sand.

That black sand overloads the circuits and silently masks targets, especially on the low conductive targets
I have tried those PI detectors, way too heavy and expensive.

So if the machine had ground balance vs beach mode do you think it would have performed better?
All detectors struggle in that black sand. I do not think the detector would perform much better with a GB feature.

Are you telling us that there is black sand there? 😂
1000000x Black Sand 👍
Our soil has black sand just like the beach, but the soil does not have dense layers of black sand.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak I just find it funny because you say that so often "Black Sand"
Good little machine !
I think so too!
Paystreak, there is a lot of disagreement about the Deus II performance in black sand.what is your opinion and how about a video?
On iron oxide bench tests, the Deus 2 spanks my other detectors.....but bench tests are not reality!! Every beach is different!! All detectors struggle in this dense black sand. I have had a couple iron oxide bench test videos.

We metal detect to be outside and have some fun. You never know what the waves can expose!!
that nokta findex pro are with simplex coil ?seems diferent from the original findex pro i have a findex non pro use diferent coil
The FindX series uses the Simplex SX coils, not the Simplex SP coils....yah we are all confused about this one!!!!
@@PaystreakSuperfreak ya but he came with simplex SP coil!? Wierd mine uses "sx" coil from what i check on google
Well yall gave it a good try. The findx hit what the Legend hit, impressive. Any gold in that sand?
This beach does not have a history of gold, Gold Beach in Oregon is all black sand and lots of fine gold.
Still pretty impressive for the price👍
Agreed!
Shouldn't you be sluicing that sand lol
that would be a nightmare!!
Streak, you should have brought your gold pan, lol
That's a lot of black sand!!
Beautiful coastline! Love to see the D2 there with Magnetic Accept feature!
It overloads if the magnetite is accepted.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak I just read Merrill from Xp say it should be on in black sand thats strange if it doesnt work.
@@Stefan-wd9uv Accept magnetite would accept it as a target.......hence it overloads as one large targets. You want to be rejecting it normally.
@@MrBottlecapBill yeah that sounds the most logical reason
Magnetic sand reject must be on. If the magnetic reject would be set to off, the detector would overload when pumping or swinging the coil over the surface of the beach.
Even tho i would miss all the civil war and colonial war relics i find here in Central Va.
That might be black sand?

Numbers mean nothing in this dense mineralized sand.
what town /beach did u go to

nice video
Thanks for the visit
Bored beach. No people no targets. I would fishing.
Not much swimmers at out beaches. Water is about 53 degrees all year.
Enough with the black sand already.
No d2 out there??

I've only detected on the coast of Oregon once.. yes a definite challenge.
😮
yea the beaches have sucked latley
