2:30 into this video & I’ve liked & subscribed. Ya know why? This is good information, well articulated & without the bs like so many other creators. You didn’t need to ask either. I know we’re all trying to influence the algorithm, but if we bring good content without the bs, viewers are gonna do that anyway. I’m looking forward to the rest of this vid & to your next one. Thanks friend & Godspeed!
You’re correct. I made the decision to not worry about the algorithm, but to focus on content, and to constantly look for ways to make the content more professional and relevant for the viewer. I figure the algorithm can take care of itself. 😄
Ah, diggin' through them old maps and LiDAR scans! This ol' miner knows how good it feels to find that golden treasure. Cheers to makin' memories in the creek beds!
A heads up, I would have washed off the oversize in the bucket, and discarded, leaving the fines, then used the bucket as a pan, concentrating the heavies. Use a batea pan to find any heavies. Rinse and repeat. Work smarter not harder. Love the Lidar!
Only one issue I see with this process: the USGS MRD website is not all that accurate. For example: There is a well known mine a couple miles outside of the town I live in, yet on the online map it shows the mine being literally under the bar on main Street.
I buy and flip land parcels as a business. Would it be useful to own the property, or the right to pan/extract the minerals from it? How much might that right be worth in this example?
The problem with most land parcels today is that mining companies bought and held the mineral rights decades ago. So you own the land, but some company holds the mineral rights. If you strike oil or find gold, well, it's not yours even if you own the land. In this case though it probably doesn't matter. If I had to guess he had MAYBE 1/4g or $30 at most worth of gold. $30 for a full day of traveling and panning doesn't seem like a good investment to me. I think most people nowadays just do this as a hobby.
it is Kampen ...village of the rich...red cliff...the eastcost of the island is rich of black sand and sooo... i didnt try it serious but ...evidences and secretkeeping tell something
I always call Rockville Pike by its route number Md-355. I always found it to be easier since the same routes name can be Rockville Pike, Hungerford Drive, or Frederick Road depending on where you are.
@ I’m seeing major amounts of work for little return. That’s why I thought maybe I’m missing something. Unless this is just a hobby or recreational activity. Which is fine of course.

Good advice. Thanks. I need to find myself a good batea pan.
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pm
From Maryland, just found your channel and love it!
Glad you found it!
Anywhere near Baltimore?
@@mikejohnson-dl7vt I think there’s a bunch of old minds on the north side of Baltimore
@@journeybug3050 I'll try to.get back on that research (it's a goal with many "side-tracking distractions"🤪), thank you.😎❤🤙
Dude, you were at the creek. All you needed was a gold pan and it would have saved you all of this extra work.
❤ 2009 private lidar sat scan was 350k$...there is a country sitting on 350B$ vein 😂
Awesome thanks for confirming the use lidar use just for this reason
Cool vid man... Dig it, its literally everywhere
It sure is
I don't know about finding gold but you can sure find tailing piles with lidar
I know, right? It's pretty cool You can find all sorts of mining related things: roads, shafts, tailing piles, etc.
Great job thinking outside the box⚡️
Thanks! Hopefully, it helps you find some gold too.
Might be tiny, but the purity looked great! Great work!
Edit: Great job getting that wild bubble! lol
Thanks! I love finding gold. It's such a happy mineral :-).

@@GetTheGold777 Ich habe bis jetzt die Hälfte des schwarzen Sandes mit Essig behandelt. Leider war kein Gold darin.
Ich heb aber noch ein halbes Glas

That is true it is not always accurate, but I have discovered that it’s accurate enough to usually find what I’m looking for.
Do you simply use a Lidar app on your phone, from an elevated position? How do you scan a large area with Lidar? Thanks in advance!
The LiDAR maps are provided by the government.
Nice going! What a great approach to finding new areas. Thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Tell me if it works for you. I want to know if you find gold. 👍
$10 in gold.... NOT BAD for 6 hours of work! I'd tell the homeowner they're sitting on a gold mine! (literally haha)
Wow great info! How much does all of the equipment used in the cudeo cost
Off the top of my head? Maybe $600? I purchased everything a while ago.
Yep.
LiDAR is very cool!

Sorry, but I have no idea

Nice place! I’ll be visiting Amsterdam in April. Cool place. Now if I can only remember to stay off of the bike road. 😁
I need to get a lidar survey of my property who do I contact ?
HI James, I have absolutely no idea. Sorry about that.
@@GetTheGold777appreciate the reply happy new year
what state is this
That was recorded in Maryland.

Is there a school you can go to to learn LIDAR drone for a career?
I have no idea. Interesting question.
Looks like a waste of time.
You will find gold up in the Yukon territory.
On my way!
Good job.
Thanks for watching!
Lidar only finds Lithium
Someone obviously owns the land. Do you ask for permission or just enter the property?
Always get permission.
Still funny to me creators will set up a camera, go back up the hill just to show them coming down the hill! LOL
Gold right off 355!!!!
Hi, I’m not tracking. 355? Do you mean Rockville pike?
I always call Rockville Pike by its route number Md-355. I always found it to be easier since the same routes name can be Rockville Pike, Hungerford Drive, or Frederick Road depending on where you are.
You can make more gold with LIDAR by selling it to ignorant car companies.
Tried that. Didn’t work. They weren’t interested.
Hard to trust anyone who where’s rubber gloves to run material. 😂 looks so wrong. Dexter? 😮😂
My hands dry out with so much water.
Did I miss something?
Hmmm, did I forget to mention something? Where’s the confusion?

@@kciwnerYes, it’s all about recreation for me. It’s brings me back to my childhood when I would go on a treasure hunt.
All that effort for a pennys worth of gold?
"A penny earned is a penny saved".
Not getting permission. Doing it sneaky
Always obtain permission.
Big waste of time and money.
Look, it comes out to about 18 cents an hour. 😄
It is… till it isn’t!
It’s really all about having fun.
That needs to stop
You gonna need 100 years like that to get 1 kg of gold 🙄
More like 200 years. :-)
Rather buy a gold coin.
Sure.. take the easy route. 😄
