    This is absolutely beautiful! I've completed 2, half done with the third one. I'm using Lion Brand Truboo (rayon from bamboo). 3 skeins work for 1 shawl, 4 for an oversized (14 rows per stich pattern instead of 10 rows). The Truboo is very soft, silky feel, and the draping is gorgeous. Thank you so much for such a beautiful piece.

    How do I know how much yarn I need to make this lovely shawl? In your blog, you mentioned the weight, but how many yards if I am making it from a different weight yarn? Thank you--I have learned so much from your videos!

    I love your patterns and I've knitted your scarfs, but now I would like to make a triangular shawl for my granddaughter who is 9. What is the size for her? how do I mesure that? Can I use this pattern?
    So thankfull if you could give some advice

    • @sowoolly
      @sowoolly  23 дня назад

      Hello! I’m happy to hear it! Yes, you can use this pattern, because you’ll have control over the size of the shawl. You’ll knit until the desired width is reached. More or less, a 9 year old chest circumference could be around 25 inches. The shawl could be 30 inches wide (at the top, where you’ll bind it off). But again, you can decide when to bind off as you knit (try it on her).
      I hope this helps! Happy knitting 😉

    Thank you for making this so easy to understand. I frequently bypass patterns; the written words can be confusing to me, and due to my vision, graphs can be unreadable. I’m unable to focus on straight lines, particularly horizontal and vertical - basically, graphs - without them splitting in two, blurring and appearing to float and move. I’ve always been a visual learner and seek good videos. Unfortunately, many videos are not well made. To name a few problems: the instructor goes too fast; steps are glancing over or skipped altogether; each step is broken down into such minute pieces that the pattern becomes intolerably complicated; the instructor is boring. For me, your videos are ‘the Goldie Locks zone’: just right. You assume a certain level of skill without expecting your viewer to be an expert, yet you do not talk down to us. And the cherry on top is your calm, soothing voice. When I want to learn a new stitch pattern, So Woolly is the only YT channel I turn to. Again, thank you.

    Hi I am having a difficult time with central stitch. I keep getting 2 stitches instead of one stitch. I'm not sure why this is happening. Thank you for your help.
