Good on you for getting so much information on this!!! Including the health benefits along with the fitness benefits!!!! My current gym teacher actually had a student wear a heart rate monitor when riding and was surprised to see that her heart rate was in the target heart rate the entire time, better than he can get students to do in his class.
Today isn my class we are writing an argument essay, most of my class does not believe equestrians are athletes we have to present the essay so I’m going to prove my classmates wrong!
I’m going to use this is my ongoing quest to persuade my parents to let me ride I know riding is an amazing (if demanding) sport and the amount of information packed into this is incredible, and makes me want to become part of this community even more (I once spent a lot of time making a PowerPoint on why I should ride to put into perspective how much I want to do this) Amazing video, it’s sad so many people don’t appreciate equestrian for the incredible thing it is.
I'm not a pro rider yet but right now I'm planing on doing cross country. I've been riding for only about 2 years. It's hard but I love it more than almost anything!!!💗💗💗
Non equestrian: “riding’s not a sport” Me: “ but then why would cross country be the only sport in the world where you are required to have your medical information strapped to your arm” 😁
Love this when people say this isn’t a sport I think in my mind I think they are just scared of the sport we can lose our lives but we do it for them cus we love them we train sooooo hard
Omg I love this sm. In your next video would you want to use your outdo I made you??😄 btw this is like so awesome, I love ittttt!! I wish you posted more😩, only bc I love you and your videos!!!😍😍☺️
yes! I'm uploading a review on Horse Shoe box today. I also just got my new saddle yesterday so I'll be doing an unboxing video on that soon :) @@emmyequitation8306
a couple months ago i took my lease horse on a trail bareback and i was going to canter her up it. i was alone and about to bring her back down to a walk and she spooked and chucked me into the dirt. first thing i did, make sure she was ok and didn’t run away. the horse always comes first
Wow! This helped a lot, I told my teachers about a very dangerous situation with a horse, all of them disagreed, but one made me try, It was sitting trot without the heels and strips, and no holding saddle (sorry I dont know how to spell it) and I was actually brilliant at it, they took me to the office and I’m now a higher level, I regret it know there’s so many better then me on this level, and I hate being last i love winning. Anyways thank you so much for this video!
The first time i cantered i was like 8 years old. I almost fell off cause i didn't have much balance back then and i didn't know the movements of the horse. Now it's my favourite
The first time I catered I was on a lounge line (don't really know how to spell it), the horse catered pretty easily but then I was taken off the lounge line and told to get the horse to canter and she decided to gallop. That experience was HORRIBLE for a beginner learning to canter for the first time.
My best friend just said to me “Stop it! Stop talking about how much you are tired! You are lying ‘cause it's clearly NOT a sport!” it hurts so much when it's the person you trust the most that says that 😢.
One of my friends at Taekwondo asked what sport I do. He said: That’s not a sport! U just sit there. The horse does everything. The next time I see him…I’m going to prove him wrong
It's so God damn anoing when people say horse riding is not a sport. WELL lison it is you need balance, muscles, and most of all trust. I love this video follow me on likee😊
Without ever riding it seems like something between driving a car and riding a bike. For you i amgoing to say it is a sport because of the bike part. I don't feel like i would ride something with one horsepower and no gear box
I'd love to put them on one of my old lesson horses who would buck, gallop instead of canter, IF you could get her to canter, she would just burst into it.
I think she was focusing on the Olympics side but I think western should be in the Olympics too. I am an English rider but I do know that westerns riding is just as hard dangerous and takes as much skill as western. Hopefully they will consider putting it in the Olympics.
"Riding Takes Years To Perfect" The Girls In Horse Girl Movies That Tame A WIld Horse When They Just Moved To A Farm For Summer: Really? I was only here for like 3 weeks and I have a wild mustang.
People: horse riding isn't a real sport! Horse ppl: pfftt. You say that bcuz u can't do it. You can't take the challenge. You won't risk your life to do what you enjoy, riding a beast that could kill you. Playing with a teammate that speaks a different language. Say what you want. You can't do what WE KNOW we can do. Good day, I gotta go do my sport, o sorry, fake sport, guess I'll just go do my work out in the gym, aka arena. Ppl: -silence-
Yes mountain biking is dangerous. The amount of injuries my husband comes home with is crazy but at the same time we are on an animal with a mind of its own
If done properly, sitting trot is much, much more difficult than posting. There should be no bouncing at all, your pelvis moves with the horse, each diagonal and back while moving your lower spine with the trot. Sitting trot is required at second level and up in dressage (you'll be eliminated after three rising attempts), but yes, in hunters/jumpers posting is better to stay off your horse's back. And wayyyy easier. No slamming down though! I HATE seeing that, it hurts the horse and over time will cause spinal/neurological problems.
I think she might have said this but when riding a horse you position yoyr feet a certain way, heels down and toes up for long periods of time this get painful, and starting a horse takes alot more work then you think if yoy are riding a horse that is not speech trained then you have to squeeze and sometimes the horse doesn't know your squeezing so your other just stuck with the horse moving you stuck with the horse standing there. Troting can also be difficult for beginners with the unknown movement and trying to litterly stand up and sit back down while the horse is moving. I highly suggest you try and ride horse just once even if it's just a trail ride you will see that this is a sport and in fact a very Hard one. If the horse bucks you it's a very risky situation if you fall off it's another risky situation
Lemme just put you on my old horse who would buck, gallop, bolt, and was a pill. Btw, you would have the honor of reigns or a saddle horn, you get to ride and hopefully canter or gallop/bolt bareback!

Same! I wanna put those people on a horse and tell them to canter and see what they do XD
She was only wrong on one thing - anyone can do it, it might be hard at first but with some practical and had work anything is possible
