I totally agree... KRTH has all but abandoned its long treasured heritage, inspired by Boss Radio. Sadly, KRTH no longer sounds like this. It's just an ordinary classic hits radio station that continues to bore its audiences with the same 250 songs over and over. Their current jingles are bland and lack the creativity that these jingles had in an era where radio could basically do anything it wanted, back then. Canned music, canned jingles, welcome to the the 21 century. :(
@@oldiesmusic76 You mean The Greatest Hits on Earth from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s like "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio from Dangerous Minds (1995) Soundtrack, "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News from Back to the Future (1985) Soundtrack, "Our Lips Are Sealed" by The Go-Go's and "Gloria" by Laura Branigan.
These jingles sound SO NOSTALGIC!!! I would LOVE hearing those again and again!!! I have heard those from back in my two-thousands where we were visiting Los Angeles while living in California!!!!!
Yes, now K-EARTH 101 FM is focusing on greatest hits from the late 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Even songs from 2000s and 2010s as well. You know, like "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin from Top Gun (1986) Soundtrack, "Our Lips Are Sealed" by The Go-Go's, "Gloria" by Laura Branigan, "Dreams" by The Cranberries, "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio from Dangerous Minds (1995) Soundtrack, "Clocks" by Coldplay and "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars.
This scratched a nostalgia itch. Thank you!
Holy shit, the old school drum roll one took me right back to being a kid!!
Thanks for the memories!
These jingles are so much better than the canned ones being (sparingly) used by the station now.

@@Naminski1a Yeah, that too. Honestly, they've gone downhill.
@@oldiesmusic76 Today's mainstream music sucks indeed.

Childhood brought me here. Real LA🙏
It's kinda sad that Audacy got rid of these jingles for generic Jingles (KRTH isn't the only one, they did the same with WINS iconic jingle in NY)
KRTH has basically imploded on themselves. They are nothing like they were decades ago.
Holy moly! Still listening to KRTH 101.1 on the radio as I type this. Nice, nice.
Are you referring Oldies radio format or Greatest Hits radio format for K-EARTH 101 FM?
Nostalgia Hits me Hard
3:17 first remember hearing in 1992
The old K-Earth jingles sounded so much better than the ones they use now. The jingles they use now are boring and lacks character like the old ones.
0:08 who's the drum player of the KRTH jingle?
I wish I knew. Part of the Johnny Mann ensemble, my good guess.
I needed this. Krth KRTH!
Jim Carson, former KRTH joc, passed 😢
LA has always had some great radio stations.
So did Chicago. 10,000 w am in the old days
Reminds me of my first trip to SoCal and the west coast
Winnemucca has Rock 94.3 on there.
DAMMIT, "LOS ANGELES" keeps getting CUT OFF. Frustrating!!
Rock 94.3 is on
Wow! Amazing job. Boost your stats = P-R-O-M-O-S-M!!
1:52 Anime vibes anyone?
