In a Galaxy as vast and massive as the Star Wars Galaxy, and sadly many species were never given enough resources for them to prosper in their homeworlds, but the Zabraks were stereotype as a warlike race even though they more normal to many humanoid species.
Eeth koth's daughter in the canon darth vader comics was born with horns, but this could be a rarity among zabrak infants. I'm guessing maybe, one out of a hundred zabrak children are born with their horns while the rest as said in the video get them when they hit puberty.
The Zabraks are definitely a cool species. They can endure physical pain where others would break... Bao Dur, (Darth) Maul, Eeth Koth, Savage Opress...
Assuming that if the Republic is retreated back to just the Core Worlds and the Colonies, how many planets and systems out there will remained as the Republic's allies? I can see Iridonia, Naboo, Kashyyyk and Mon Cala remained on good terms with the Republic. But anyone else? This is my attempt to appease both sides, of course. Those who are pro-Republic can remained as the allies of the Republic while the Republic itself is be able to properly functioned with less corruption, more resources and manpower and also the better communication within the Republic's territories becaus its size has been greatly reduced.
They sound like a good people to have on your side! Full stop! Also, the Fact Files stated that Maul painted his face that to show his dedication to the Dark Side! (He's not in the Encyclopedia, cuz Episode I... It does predate the Remaster, so...)
One of my favorite fan theory on the rakata was that they used gene fuckery to make humans and near humans not descended from human isolates capapble of interbreeding and to produce viable offspring because the rakata kept killing off massive populations of humanoids and they couldn't really tell the difference between humans and bear humans. It also explains why humans and twileks can produce hybrids and why human genomes can be spliced into most species to make a viable organism
The second I found out there was Star Wars LARP in my area and bought a ticket for the next event, I knew my character was going to be a Zabrak. I love this species, they are just wild and uncontrollable forces of nature.
I'd love to see a video about Kao-Sen-Durach; one of the most underrated jedi battlemasters. His abilities with Niman were more closely related to Exar Kun than the failures on Geonosis. A worthy Zabrak to make a video for!
I find the idea that those markings are tattoos to be very very silly. There are children depicted with those markings, and what culture would apply full body tattoos to children. On top of that, do you know how long a full body tattoo like theirs would take!? Nah, in my head they are natural markings inherited from when they were hunters that needed camouflage.
Make a video on every extinct Star Wars species both in canon and legends. Star Wars Explained already did a video on it, but it’s old and missed things like the Geonosians and the Sith. Near extinct is also okay.
A zabrack Clonetrooper or Stormtrooper helmet would be cool though. Also what's the right of passage? I either missed it or you didn't talk about it and I want to know.

In legend it was a race of rather friendly insectoïds and perhaps the reason for wookies advance of technology between 3 956 BBY and clone wars. According to the lore in canon :At some point, the Verpines had peaceful dealings with the Wookiees of Kashyyyk, which contributed to convincing the formerly enslaved species to join the Galactic Republic.
So ignoring the new movies existence, cos like, I just can’t accept Palpy as monster of the week insert when had a fine bad guy for those movies already. But, like he had this like 4D chess plan to dominate whole galaxy, then once he’s in power though, like just f up after f up lol what happened to him? 😂 zabraks for example…why mess with them? lol Guess, maybe it’s as simple tho as “power corrupts”…even the power hungry after they get it. Now just spit balling but I wonder too, do we give him too much credit? How much of his rise was simply just luck right.
