I thought I'd share a few things I've picked up. No matter how large your HQ building is, it will only house a max of 27 people. When you select the kind of building you want to build, hovering over potential buildings will show how many people can live/work there or how much can be stored. If a squad encounters zombies inside a building, you can fire a round of shots, then go back outside, then go back in and fire another round etc. The squad takes less damage that way. The HQ has a huge amount of hp compared to other buildings, so trying to get zombies to attack there is advantageous. Zombies will follow cars just like people outside a building. You can steer the zombies around where you want them using the cars.
so, i dont know if you noticed, but you only claimed a very small portion of that building as your headquarters. the green outline shows what will be selected to build, it is actually better to start with a smaller building as hq, just a heads up.
Want to use thinner building for hq for zone of fire. Using spots like this with big, awkward shaped buildings makes it hard to defend and fortify later on
I'm kind-of curious what it would look like if you started somewhere like Venice, since it's so different from most other cities. In general, what are some of the weirdest or most unique places you can start and how much does that change the game?
Found a place in Italy that has a full wall around all but 2 areas ... entrances! Its quit spectacular

Many of the workers whom you acquire from those capitalist countries act like zombies because they haven't yet lived the good communist life with Comrade Dictator Potato.
Please bring back Workers and Resources series.

The night time moon glow for lighting is really a cool concept. BTW, birds don't fly at night...bug?. Bought the game.
39:46 "Sure, let's accept more workers." 40:54 "Workers dying of hunger" 43:08 0.94 fuel-- requires ~ 0.75 fuel to get home-- Let's send them in a car (which if full of ammo) to another security building (in a direction away from home) to search it... at night. 🙄45:51 ran of of fuel. Now the squad is pushing the car from behind.

is there any way to control what path the zombies take to your base during nights?
making zig zag corridors, "locking doors" maybe, what can be done to make the zombies go the path you need in order to defend late game?
You can wall of places and leave one spot open (buildings classed as impassable)
if you use a gatehouse that will be classed as a wall and if this fully sealed base, they take the direct path to your hq instead and start attacking the walls they come across
some map generated walls dont actually exist and they will just simply walk through them

Does the game take into account the RL location for scavenging, like it would be easier to find guns in the US?
to a degree, yes. it far from perfect yet.
Can't wait to scavenge dollar stores every 500 feet in the Midwest
Also easier to find trans/feminists zombies in the US area too.
Doesn't seem to in terms of gun shops. I've built in cities where I know the locations of gun/pawn shops and the buildings are not gun shops in the game (regular scavenging).
How about Legion Entragere HQ.
if anything this game plays more like the movie I am legend, but yeah i can see the confusion between that and last of us. Just no clickers (YET) :D
Did the headquarter building change or is that building just so big that it only turn a sliver of it to the headquarter?

lots of bugs in the production release - i would suggest waiting for the publishers to fix it before committing to anyone purchasing this game

Project Zomboid will still the best zombies game IMO. But I really like that macro management style that we can find in this new game and pretty sure it will be a great game :)
PZ might be a better zombie game, but can you play and see if you could survive if you woke up in your town tomorrow in the middle of a zombie outbreak in PZ? Hehe .... it might not be as good but it is still pretty cool, the potential of playing literally anywhere. I want to try starting with my starting base being my house lol or as close to it as I can get.

Just got the game wondering if anybody else had issues building stuff? Was building a wooden tower it was almost done The building needed 1 wood I had like 20 max amount of workers assigned and the workers were at the tower but I never finished and I'm on day 5 of them staring at the tower. is this a bug or am I a idiot
Yeah, it seems to be a bug, I got around it by saving and then loading the save. seemed to make them start working again.

its still early access, but is way better. no, its a fully fledged windows game. do you expect a mobile game to be able to compute every single building on earth, even your own home?

I seriously don't understand this game. It looks so repetitive after only 5mins
its super duper in depth, and you can go literally anywhere on earth. besides, its early access bruv. they added even more since then, and its way way better. "never ever critisize an artist before they are finished".
its to late for them to take my money, i wanted the early access deal for future DLC, but they decided to not allow any more purchases, I will never buy this, watch maybe. Out of spite, fuck them.

They post a limited time deal and you missed that deal? Is that what you're saying? And because of missing that limited time deal you refuse to play the game at all? Did I get that right? If so my only question is, how old are you?
