Dev here, super hyped you got to play, even more hyped you enjoyed it! Was fun watching. Comments are a bit of a downer, though I cannot say I didn't expect it. I guess I just need to prove that this is not Rimworld, I have my own ideas and ambitions. Besides, as a lone dev working part time on a shoestring budget, there's a lot worse than being compared to such a behemoth!
Fyi - you can right click on dead worms and butcher them for meat :)

Hey @Produno did you drive the inspiration for this game from both Rim world and Starship Theory? I ask because I always thought they could go farther with starship theory but did not and this seems like a great take on what it could've been.
@@Ace-kj3jg Yes, exactly. I am making the game I have always wanted to play (Or at least the best version I can, within scope). There are lots of bits of inspiration from all sorts of games in SpaceSlog. Though that will become more apparent as development continues.
@@Produno I hope it works out well and I am sorry not many people are seeing it as its own game. Rim World is a big game and has many mechanics that are to good not to use in your own game. Just because you make use of those mechanics doesn’t make it a space based rim world copy. I will follow the future development of your game keep up the good work.
I'm just gonna say: If we're gonna rag on this game for being "just rimworld in space" we might just aswell rag on Rimworld being "just dwarf fortress with graphics" and be done with it.
This is OBVIOUSLY inspired by rimworld but it has different and interesting mechanics aswell, and its still a work in progress. Maybe be more specific with the criticism or just try and understand different games bring different things even if they're building upon something already done?
I mean, rimworld is open about the fact it was inspired by Dwarf Fortress
I assume the dev of this is open about rimworld's infuence (and using a very simular engine/graphics)

I thought that too, right up until he sent crew out to manually mine the asteroids, rather than a mining laser on fly-by.
There is a deep space between your day-to-day shifts in Potatograd. Two hours.
You work your 22-hour shift then have 2 full hours of fun (getting home, eating, listening to Comrade-Dictator Potato's Propaganda radio station, sleeping, and getting back to work.)

Been keeping an eye on this one. Very eager to see how it shapes and differs from others like Stardeus. Always space for more space based colony sims imo.

I wonder if this is the guy who created "Starship Theory? A game I was addicted to.
I know he left the game unfinished due ta a serious family emergency, which is understandable.
Wonder if he's back with all the ideas he wanted to implement in Starship Theory, cause I know he had plans for space stations and planet landings.
