Those tentacles are in actuality like that of a Jellyfish. With a mechanism that makes piercing, skull penetrating spiky tubes come out and literally suck out all juice in your head. Not the kind of Hentai tentacle many probably expect.
I don't think that the dream lover is the tadpole as the tadpole gets mad when he starts making moves on you in the first dream. "It wants him/her gone." My guess is that it's The Absolute trying to get you to let them control you.

The Mind flayers are one of my favorite race. The fact that one has become an independent person is so cool. This game is going to be top tier best game ever made once it’s fully released. I’m so pumped.
Right? It's hysterical that I let that slip and didn't make more jokes about it. In my defense, I was so busy this week I barely got this video out in time! I'll have to remember for future vids to make some kind of tentacle hentai joke ;)
Totally agree.. I love how much there is to see and do. I'm hoping when they finish there's going to be at least 2/3 more game left to play ...with lots and lots of expansions!
I never though about his person as an actual person. Hard to say if it's literally the same being visiting you and all your companions, but the potential is there. This whole 'the hottest boy you can imagine' thing also strongly hints at this particular image being projected to seduce you, and the actual entity looking nothing like that (and having less then pure motives for being with you). That's pretty much confirmed by Gale hinting that he saw Mystra, Astarion dreaming of Cazador, Laezel seeing Vlaakith, and Wyll potentially seeing Mizorra in his dream. Only you and Shadowheart get random hotties, and for others the dream person impersonates someone. Since the tadpole is disgusted with this being, yet they can still influence them it must be one of the other parties involved - the Absolute, Raphael (btw great thinking there - I never connected that crab claw to him), Netheril empire, and potentially that council you can save from the burning inn (mild datamined spoilers - it seems that her name in the game files is Desire, which is also your dream person's name). For now we're not sure how those faction connected to each other, and maybe some of them are one and the same, but I really doubt that my dream boy is a real physical being I can eventually meet... Meeting them would be awkward anyway. I knew that I will be romancing Astarion (4 times in a row is not weird, right?) and made the dream guy look like like a poor man's version of him on 3 of my playthroughs. I mean... that's who my character would be falling in love with at that point, but also not to the degree where it would make sense for the being to actually pretend to be Astarion (especially since they can probably see in my head that the real deal is right there to debunk whatever lies they have to tell me). Anyway, this guy looking like Astarion made initially giving in and later, when your relationship with real Astarion grow stronger, rejecting them feel more flavorful. Oh, and ideaof me running around the camp telling everyone including the man himself that I had a wet dream about him - that's hilarious.
LOL! Poor man's Astarion xD I usually call that type.. The budget version xDD "Budget Astarion" LOLOL Also, I am beginning to wonder if a cambion, maybe raphael, is involved in taking over the tadpole. Not sure how they'd do it, but I am now wanting to accept his deal. Can you believe I never have? Not even to see what would happen! It's gotta happen now.
It all starts to make sense when you embrace the theory that this dream visitor is not your tadpole, but instead the representation of the power that holds the tadpole in stasis, unable to grow and transform you. Some say that it is Shar.
Honestly excited to see where this leads. I see the tadpole more seductive than Gale and on par with Astarion. Seems our little elf gots competition because the tadpole is far more smoother. Lol. I'm curious if it is the tadpole or someone we'll actually meet because they mentioned that they will meet the PC. I have my doubts. Got to say though, I just love the male 2 VA for the illithid lover. When you tell him to quit bugging you and go away, he chuckles with, "But I'm already here". That delivery alone seduced me. 😍
XD I've never heard that line! *takes mental note to make sure to keep an eye out for it* It's tough though, I think Astarion's voice does me in more than Senor Tadpole. They are both SO GOOD.. but Astarion has that little pout in his voice that drives me crazy
@@Mmogurl ain't going to lie, Astarion's VA, really gets that seductive tone just right. I'm still team Astarion though, the dream visitor better step up their game.
Someone on Tumblr translated the "poem" and apparently it's a spell that prevents Astarion's soul from being taken? Making it all the more cruel considering the lengths Astraion wants to go to keep a controlled tadpole...
Yeah - I always got worried after the third.. especially with that one narrator line about how you're losing something you'll never get back. Like "Dang that thing is eating my brains!" hahah
Your parasite probably came from the Absolute, but something was changed about it - which is why even though you're a true soul, the Absolute wants you dead. I think these Ithilid dreams actually have soemthing to do with whatever has tampered with the parasites, instead of the Absolute I wish these dream temptresses were actually real in some way, not gonna lie. I think it would make for an interesting romance? But a few more unanswered questions: Why is Astarion the only one who has NIGHTMARES? He dreams of Cazador. All the others dream with seductive dream people Why were there dead mindflayers on the Nautiloid, even before it was attacked? It seemed as though there was infighting. Did that have something to do with your strange tadpole?
Yes I think this is a good possibility! Imagine that the ship you were on was some kind of renegade, maybe they were going against the Absolute group. I totally agree about them being real too - how cool would it be to meet them in the flesh?? Really good questions at the end there.. I hadn't even considered the dead mindflayers.. will add that to my notes when I'm working on the whole story video.
What I found interesting was that apparently there is different post-dialogue if you have only one companion with you. Atleast this was the case for Gale. The second night was rhe same, he was excited, but after the third night he was almost mad at the dreams. He will tell you who he dreamed of (and we all know who she is) and he feels the dreams are too perfect to be true. Then he wants to end using the powers. It's interesting as he seems more cool about the dreams in a full party, but agrees eventually that the powers shouldn't be used. I haven't tested out other characters yet if they will have different dialogues. I will definetely want to see more what the dreams will offer.
Auntie Ethel said the tadpole was modified by Netherils magic so I think this magic protects PC from transforming to Ilithid. Looking at dream guy I'm wondering he's from Netheril Empire - his outfit looks like some kind of ancient tunic(?). And sometimes it seems to the tadpole treats him like intruder. Minthara and the others didn't transform, so maybe they were protected by Absolut and she comes from Empire too? So many questions :D Sorry for my English, I'm from Poland. :)
You did fine with your English and raised some really good points. I hadn't considered the attire at all. I don't know enough about the Netherese, I'm probably going to have to look into it a bit to flesh out my knowledge on the subject more. Also.. someone else mentioned Ethel and the netherese magic too - I think it's a really solid idea of connecting all of the dots. Thank you for the comment!
@@Mmogurl I was wondering... There are rumors that Minsc would become your companion - while Astarion dreams about Cazadorr, Leazel about Vlaakith then what with Minsc? @@HenryTitor they is way too many angles and data to have a simple cult. its not a usual mind flayer habit at all. If you know fully how they work and their whole society, its super unusual if possible organically. Yet, they do know what the absolute is and they understand its goal (when you ask an illithid what it is)
Could be they're going to give often between rejecting illithid or achieving some sort of symbiosis, kinda like in baldur's gate 1-2 you had options of rejecting the bhaal blood or embracing your bloodline.
Totally late to these - thanks for doing this for us who didn’t have early access! TBT I’m glad they changed it. But if Ethan or Scott voiced these seductive scenes… *swoon* I probably would have fallen for it like I did with the Emperor - that sassy, sexy, manipulative prick who I just adore 😂
I'm sad that I put so much effort into making the one I dream of look like my girlfriend just for our romance to be the evil option basically. Plus, I knew not to use the power so I haven't even gotten to see her. I'll probably make a new save just to fool around with it
the scene with Astarion's dream of Cazador seems to happen either way, I also got it on my "no powers" run. I believe it's triggered by the encounter with the monster hunter who is after him.
The dreams remind me of the Bhaalspawn dreams. I kinda wonder if the characters have the blood of Bhaal. It would make the murderous impulses make sense. It will also make the connection make sense.
Watching these dreams I think our phantom is actually a distant elder brain trying to regain control over your tadpole (your body and that blood lust to remove him), have to remember your tadpole is different than the other 'common' tadpole.
+1 subscriber, love the insightful breakdown, and willingness to test everything. I full plan to(number of saves allowing), explore this to whatever end terminus. One thing of note, in regards to the PC tadpole, in dialogue with the Hag, if you ask her to cure you, and do so at the expense of an eyeball, you learn the PC tadpole is infused with Netherese magic. So, it's likely we have a unique case, and this phantom could be more than just a fever dream so to speak
Yes! I'm working on compiling a story video.. it's just taking awhile because I'm trying to get most of the footage and also put my thoughts together on a wide variety of topics. I am probably just going to have to pull the trigger at some point because I don't think I could ever encompass it all!
@@Mmogurl I look forward to it whenever you get around to it I haven't seen anyone do any kind of like in-depth dive theory crafting on all of the factors about the tadpole so far
Honestly, I think the answer will be pretty obvious. The "dream lover" is your tadpole trying to convince you to embrace the transformation. The tadpole has been tampered with and changed into some special new breed of "infiltrators" by a cabal of ilithids that sought absolute power. (You can use Speak with Dead to talk to one dead mind flayer and ask it what the Absolute is - and it shows you exactly that). I think there will be several endings in the final game. You will be able to remove the tadpole through one of several means, including the cambion. Or, you will be able to embrace the transformation and become an ilithid yourself.
about what you said at 13:16 each tadpole has to be unique. I made a woman for my character to dream of, and when shadowheart told me of her dream, she had seen a man she said she found very attractive. seems the tadpole is tailor made for the individual
I meant more so in the sense of - it seems like its made just for you, but in reality the tadpoles are all connected to a central director scanning everyone and projecting to them through the tadpole. If that makes sense.
@@Mmogurl ah, yeah, i get you. kind of interesting since we know the tadpole has been touched with netherese magic, too. who knows what that thing is capable of really
The names sounded familiar, and I looked it up and then was like HOLY CRAP that's where it's from.. Fire emblem! I actually played that game about 10 months ago or so. Really loved it until it got kind of repetitive later on towards the end of the game. But while Sothis was benevolent towards your character, it's hard to know if this dream lover has your best interest at heart.
i really hope it's an actual person somewhere, & in a perfect world, you could save them & then have them as a real love interest & not just a dream vision... but i somehow doubt that'll happen, but i can dream right? lol for now i'll just be content with my vampire boy :p
I've played through several times now and am still discovering things, but never got that last dream because I stop using the tadpole too. Still can't quite decide if the projection is the tadpole's doing, or if it's from outside and the tadpole is part of what's fighting against it.
Rafael wants to force you to make a deal with him and is behind the tadpole being there. Maybe he is just making sure the tadpole can´t be removed, maybe he is also behind you getting it in in the first place. That´s why he is in the dreams, either you are talking with him and not with the tadpole, or he has twisted the tadpole personally and the tadpole is trying to help you/survive. That´s my bet
I think that red thing in the first night sequence is the tail or possibly wing tip from the cambion that comes to you another night - or at least came to me another night.
50+ hours of gameplay, playedf with friends and we never encountered this. It's really really cool, I quite love it. And it's also cool that the gameplay implications are also attractive.
Yeah I kinda abuse the ilithid power...it is very useful. I am very curious as if you try to get the hag to remove the tadpole she mentions that it is shadow magic that is involved. So I wonder if the ilithid lover is that shadow magic that the tadpole is mixed with. Maybe your perfect character (lover) is the origin of that magic like a demon or even a god of sorts??
OMG you're right! She does say it's netherese doesn't she? Forgot about that completely. Oooo. I'm liking where you're going with this.... It sounds really plausible too! :O
@@Mmogurl I am looking forward to how this all pans out. If I am right well things are going to get very interesting! Also honestly the concept of a god, or demon lover is just interesting. Although making deals with gods or demons could potentially spell disaster, but I am absolutely here for it! We passed through the hell's in the beginning so it would make sense that other powers are involved or maybe even latched on.
having a Cambion in the first dream does make sense if you consider that what's happening behind the scenes is some escalating conflict between the Illithids and Avernus.

I don't think it's the tadpole. But something else, according to conversations with the Hag and the Archdruid when you want to remove the tadpole, both say that something else interacted/is interacting with it, making it sleepy but allowing you to use its powers. Something Netheres according to the Hag.
Although I am not able to play it I imagine that this dream character does exist somewhere in this world and may be an endgame person you have a thing with or maybe you meet them somewhere else idk
Ooooh this makes me want to use the power even more than I already do!! I guess it'll be on my Astarion romance run since he seems to like using the power to dangerous extents as well XD
At this point I'm not even sure if I would say that the illithid lover is actually the illithid at all. It might be somebody else, somebody that hitches a ride whenever we use the powers. I say that because the tadpole is what gives us the ability to sway minds, but then the lover also gives us powers as well that are separate from the mind ones. When you use your tadpole ability to sway an individual, sometimes you'll hear, "it's taking something from you, something that you'll never get back", but when you use the abilities given to you by the dream lover, there don't seem to be any negative repercussions. This leads me to believe that they are two separate entities, both trying to occupy your mind at the same time as you, only the dream lover can only appear once you've overextended yourself with the tadpole.
Im sorry but Astarion's face getting warped when you use the tadpoles is the funniest shit ever. ASDJK--- Thank you for posting these I got the game a few weeks ago but I hadn't had a chance to sit down and play.
Ah, no wonder my character didn't have any of those weird dreams. I knew using that shit was a bad idea the moment I saw that rolling a 1 would succeed, so I never used it again.
In some regards, the suspicion I have stems from a few dialogue bits. 1. If you humor Auntie Ethel's deal, she unveils that the Parasite is cursed with Netherese. As described by her: Shadow magic that brings chains and misery. 2. The parasite provides you power without the growth process to ceramorphesis. Giving you strength while not able to transform.. 3. Omeluum of the Underdark unveils how the Parasite is trapped in a stasis; but its still growing stronger. Possibly the parasite is allowed to grow or "incubate" with a more firm plan? We know for sure that the parasite has been tampered with. There's a shroud of magic about it that prevents it from transforming you. Undoubtly the illithid who captured you and everyone else are not working for the Hivemind... Or if they are; have unravelled something new between mortals and their creations.
If I had to guess the dream guy is probably an Aboleth projection, rather than an Illithid. The tadpole seems to want to be rid of him, and he appears to be what's slowing down the transformation, seeing as the feeling of the aching skull, part of the transformation, seemed to disappear after the dream. Aboleths are known to psychically learn a creature's desires and use that to convince people to serve them, as they reward their servants with psychic projections of said desire. It's actually one of the more generous forms of an evil tyrant in d&d. They're also powerfully psionic, the same sort of power the mindflayers use, so it's plausible they could use or interfere with each other's powers.
Mmogurl, this is an amazing video! I now think that if your brain was in a game, it would definitely have to be destroyed because it's just way to powerful lol. Love your videos.
The mechanic of using the illithid powers once per long rest and having actual consequences for it was sooo much more interesting and mysterious. Now the option is just there and you can do it with no reprecusions.
I'm not sure that is the tadpole, but in fact the dark magic that is keeping the tadpole from claiming us. It better explains why our character can later compulsively attack the dream person even against their will becaise something in their head is telling them to. The tadpole is mad this person is keeping them from their new body.
So, fun fact: I was playing a Cleric of Corellon and actually thought it was my deity reaching out to me. I was a little disappointed not to see individual character choices like that making no appearance but I cannot say I'd expect the devs to voice act every character's deity, or patron. The same was true with my Warlock when the Cambion showed himself since he says: "Whats better than a devil you don't know? A devil you do."
Hahah! I know how you feel because I fell for the same sort of thing from the ending of early access. They basically said "You feel a bloodlust growing" or something along those lines.. and I was romancing Astarion and thought I was becoming a vampire. Turns out it was just the tadpole.. I was like NOOOOOO!
Good character generation on your part. Love the expressive face and mannerisms. I am curious why the devs gave that male elf chest hair considering elves have no body hair other than eyebrows & the hair on their head.
Wonderful and informative video as always 😊 personally I stopped using illithid powers after third dream. I am very tempted and very scared to use them. It's tempting to become more powerful, but the idea that I am dooming my character with this, just makes it too scary. I think it's too soon to make assumptions about the tadpole however, because it just early access, we don't have all information yet. Some scenes may be missing or may trigger when they shouldn't. P.s.I played one game a long time ago, where you have the option to use evil powers during your adventures and if you choose to use them often you get a bad ending. With you turning in to a demon and killing your girlfriend 😟 I don't want to risk my happy ever after with Astarion, especially if he could turn me in to a vampire and we could be together forever 🦇
I totally fell you! I was the same way! But after playing enough times through, I get into investigative mode and I just want to see what will happen when I push certain buttons. Once the game comes out in full, I will have my serious game with probably an elf/half-elf that goes after Astarion hardcore. I'll add, that part of the fun when you don't have the full game is trying to theorize what is actually going on with what information you have available! ;)
The lover is just the mindflayer trying to pry through whatever is protecting you from turning into a mindflayer in the first place. The sensation in the throat pairs with Lae Zel's description of the mindflayer breaking out of the body. It is simple really.
Well both (phantom and potentially real) are interesting choices. And the hand part was just funny. But also a reminder that hands and fingers are still hard to animate (or at least have issues of moving properly in-game), hence why they are often usually hidden off-screen when characters are for example giving something, or just holding out an open palm.
Possible spoiler: So far the going theory is the tadpoles are merged with dragons some how and the person calling you isnt a mind flayer but a dragon that also has a tadpole which explains the magic suppressing ceramorphosis or w.e
Oh no, I based my dream guy on MCU Loki so I guess my wood elf Druid is completely screwed (and not in the fun way). I’m not even sure Balder’s Gate 3’s Alistair (Gale) or Zevran (Astarion) can save me. 😂
I am pretty sure the illithid lover is a projection of what we're most attracted to to help us trust them more and succumb to their grand plans for us. We're shown what we can gain by succumbing to the tadpole's power whereas Astarion is shown what he will lose if decides to NOT use it, hence his nightmares compared to our wet dreams. Astarion is already seduced, he's just being kept in check.
I got a feeling where the tadpole and the magic that restrains it from turning us into mindflayers are two seperate beings thus the dreams are actually caused by that bizarre magic aura. I think it would be interesting if some wizard was actually trying to create an army with enhanced people who are infected with a tadpole. And I would only suggest that it is why the dream character promises us war and glory.
Damn, I didn't even consider the possibility of our illithid bae being real. But now that you mention it being like Solas and fade tongue, it would honestly be really cool if he/she ends up being a completely different and real being that's trying to get in on all the action.
I'm pretty sure that it's a tadpole in the dreams trying to take over(''let me in'') and your ''blood'' wants to rip him apart. We all know who's blood wants to ''tear apart''. Our favourite old dead god...and we are probably his children...

If the mindflayer portion of the tadpole ever gets loose of the magic that keeps it at bay... everybody is gonna go RIP xD
Lae'zel and Shadowheart slutshamed me bc i let him :( even if they did do the samee!!!!
Hey, no kink-shaming
You're not alone...
she just built different
The Mind flayers are one of my favorite race. The fact that one has become an independent person is so cool. This game is going to be top tier best game ever made once it’s fully released. I’m so pumped.
Me too!! :D
Not that I'd be against a relationship with a tentacle creature xD
Right? It's hysterical that I let that slip and didn't make more jokes about it. In my defense, I was so busy this week I barely got this video out in time! I'll have to remember for future vids to make some kind of tentacle hentai joke ;)
That's a mood
Puts on hentai glasses : "I think we all know where this is going."
oh may..( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
What if the Illithid actually falls in love with you depending on certain choices picked...
That would be neat
This takes wet dreams to a whole new level
this is clipped af but you should see how this looks with a halfling protagonist, it's hilarious.
This is so weird, but so cool at the same time. I already know I'm going to be doing a lot of playthroughs just I can see all these romance options 😄
Totally agree.. I love how much there is to see and do. I'm hoping when they finish there's going to be at least 2/3 more game left to play ...with lots and lots of expansions!
Your character is so gorgeous
Thanks! How about my taste in squiddies? xD
@@Mmogurl interesting
@@Mmogurl wish it was a female drow priestess 😂
@@Mmogurl New romance option with Raphael? :D
It's crazy how much this concept changed between EA and the full game (though honestly, I prefer what's in the final game)!
Someone on Tumblr translated the "poem" and apparently it's a spell that prevents Astarion's soul from being taken?
Making it all the more cruel considering the lengths Astraion wants to go to keep a controlled tadpole...
Yeahh, he would do whatever it takes to be free from cazador :( poor him, I hope he'll get a deserving ending
Woah that's interesting.. I'll have to go check that out if I can find it.
I love your voice and accent. It's so smooth and clear
I normally stop when I get the second dream >_
Yeah - I always got worried after the third.. especially with that one narrator line about how you're losing something you'll never get back. Like "Dang that thing is eating my brains!" hahah
Too bad, there's so much content in Warframe after Second Dream
(pun intended)
Your parasite probably came from the Absolute, but something was changed about it - which is why even though you're a true soul, the Absolute wants you dead. I think these Ithilid dreams actually have soemthing to do with whatever has tampered with the parasites, instead of the Absolute
I wish these dream temptresses were actually real in some way, not gonna lie. I think it would make for an interesting romance?
But a few more unanswered questions:
Why is Astarion the only one who has NIGHTMARES? He dreams of Cazador. All the others dream with seductive dream people
Why were there dead mindflayers on the Nautiloid, even before it was attacked?
Weird! Thanks for sharing.
Don't worry, be happy...You too can become the Illithid. Embrace your dreams and unlock your full potential. Great video.
WOULD HE DREAM ABOUT BOO??? xD
Oh, I just can't wait for a finished game. :D I love when you talk about your BG3 theories with such a passion, it's really nice.
@@Mmogurl she also mentioned the shadow weave and in dnd that usually means SHAR and we had many hints that she is involved
I'm pretty sure Absolute is just a mind flayer cult...
This is why I am liking Baldur's 3 EA so much: it is dark and mature.
OMFG THE CLIPPING!
The dreams remind me of the Bhaalspawn dreams. I kinda wonder if the characters have the blood of Bhaal.
It would make the murderous impulses make sense. It will also make the connection make sense.
Yeah im getting the feeling that we are playing as a bhaalspawn, and thats whats interfering with the tadpole
@@asham868 Jergal is trying to return
RUclips knows what I'm into...
This is the 3rd of your videos I've watched today and you're single-handedly going to make me buy a game I was going to wait for full access for xD
xD Sorry not sorry
I'm in love with him, wtf 💔💕
That throat kiss tho in dream 4 😂
also I kind of always thought when it says "something inside you recoils" they meant the tadpole with that 😅
Yeah, it's funny how you miss things and then others point it out and you're like... 'oh yeah! that makes sense!'
about what you said at 13:16
each tadpole has to be unique.
@@Mmogurl that is usually what a elder brain is
I hope this ends up being a real love interest- I want a game where you can actually design your romantic interest to you liking.
I hope so too!
So in a future we can pull a Byleth x Sothis, but in Baldur's gate...
really?
The names sounded familiar, and I looked it up and then was like HOLY CRAP that's where it's from.. Fire emblem! I actually played that game about 10 months ago or so. Really loved it until it got kind of repetitive later on towards the end of the game. But while Sothis was benevolent towards your character, it's hard to know if this dream lover has your best interest at heart.
Your drow looks so pretty!
:) Thanks!
@@Mmogurl lol opened comments to say the same darn thing.
i really hope it's an actual person somewhere, & in a perfect world, you could save them & then have them as a real love interest & not just a dream vision... but i somehow doubt that'll happen, but i can dream right? lol for now i'll just be content with my vampire boy :p
Between a common romance and one with an inter-dimensional brain-eating alien ... The answer is clear, let's go alien.
Hi! So i'm here rewatching this for the third time for the smooooooth ass elven dream boy. I romanced Solas in DAI. I'm blaming you :DDDD Also lowkey can't wait for the game to finally come out so that i can play it! I wouldn't have found out about this game if it wasn't for your video. So thank you! :3
Edit: That thing in the first dream is creepy af :'DD
Hahah! You mean you romanced Solas after watching my video? o.O? What did you think? Also, you're very welcome! My pleasure to introduce a quality game to people. I really need the game to come out in it's entirety, but I know I'll be waiting for awhile! I'm going to go into a deep dark woman-cave when it does release though! Then it's going to be like months upon months of content hahah.
@@Mmogurl Sorry i phrased that weirdly! I played dai like years ago and i romanced Solas.I LOVE THAT STUPID EGG MAN SO MUCH. What i meant to say is that i have a thing for elf boys and yours good madam is..flawless *trying not to drool*
I don't think it's the tadpole. But something else, according to conversations with the Hag and the Archdruid when you want to remove the tadpole, both say that something else interacted/is interacting with it, making it sleepy but allowing you to use its powers. Something Netheres according to the Hag.
EXACTLY !!!!!! But why no one is mentionning the Cambion who paid us a visit at the first night at the camp !!! He said he will be looming over us !!!
Although I am not able to play it I imagine that this dream character does exist somewhere in this world and may be an endgame person you have a thing with or maybe you meet them somewhere else idk
Oh so thats why. Avoiding using the tadpole power is my thinking since the whole situation is to get that thing out of your head. Thanks for this btw!
this is super interesting to come back to at this point in time, especially after that certain reveal in Act 3 lol
I got a bearded dwarf lady in my dreams :D
In one game, I made a gnarly looking halfling, and those dreams were actually nightmares! Yeeeesh.
Make a Danny Devito Dwarf!!!
Im sorry but Astarion's face getting warped when you use the tadpoles is the funniest shit ever. ASDJK--- Thank you for posting these I got the game a few weeks ago but I hadn't had a chance to sit down and play.
man and I thought astarion's voice could melt chocolate. Squid face know how to woe.
Ah, no wonder my character didn't have any of those weird dreams. I knew using that shit was a bad idea the moment I saw that rolling a 1 would succeed, so I never used it again.
Hello there this is my first video yours and I really loved it and can I just say you build beautiful characters
The grafic glitches are strong in this one.
I think that the dude IS the tadpole, and that in the final version of the game if you fall in love you become a mindflayer. Just a hunch though
Hello and welcome to Call of Cthulhu and you just rolled a Natural 1 on your SAN {Sanity} check.
How I Learned to Set Aside My Fears, and Learn to Love the Worm.
hahah xD
This guy sounds exactly like "Mouse" from the beginning of the mage playthrough in Dragon Age Origins lol
The glitchy hand holding was great
Nice to see videos that don't glitch out
I'm not sure that is the tadpole, but in fact the dark magic that is keeping the tadpole from claiming us.
I was like NOOOOOO!
omg this reminds me of Dragon Age origins, even the music. It is so great, I love it. I have decided to wait for the full release and I can't wait
Good character generation on your part. Love the expressive face and mannerisms. I am curious why the devs gave that male elf chest hair considering elves have no body hair other than eyebrows & the hair on their head.
@Fate_ Ah, that would explain it. I thought he was a full blooded elf. Thanks for clarifying.
Yeah, I was going to say, he's half elf but Fate beat me to it! ;D
I'll add, that part of the fun when you don't have the full game is trying to theorize what is actually going on with what information you have available! ;)
I think Larion peeps made it very tempting and convincing that it is tempting to give in.
The lover is just the mindflayer trying to pry through whatever is protecting you from turning into a mindflayer in the first place. The sensation in the throat pairs with Lae Zel's description of the mindflayer breaking out of the body. It is simple really.
It could just be the tadpole lying out of it's wormy behind
wormy behind xD Made me LOL
Well both (phantom and potentially real) are interesting choices.
And the hand part was just funny. But also a reminder that hands and fingers are still hard to animate (or at least have issues of moving properly in-game), hence why they are often usually hidden off-screen when characters are for example giving something, or just holding out an open palm.
I never played Baldurs gate but you know what.. I´ll buy this
Possible spoiler: So far the going theory is the tadpoles are merged with dragons some how and the person calling you isnt a mind flayer but a dragon that also has a tadpole which explains the magic suppressing ceramorphosis or w.e
Sounds like a literal mindfuck...
This is not the tadpole.... this is much more
I'm pretty sure that it's a tadpole in the dreams trying to take over(''let me in'') and your ''blood'' wants to rip him apart. We all know who's blood wants to ''tear apart''. Our favourite old dead god...and we are probably his children...
