I will never play as Astarion because I don’t want to rob myself off Neil Newbon’s amazing voice but this was interesting to see!
He has some voice acted scenes in his story- which makes me think they may be planning for him to still be voiced? They may just not be finished or recorded yet.
His voice literally is so annoying I can't not kill him as soon as I meet him...
My favorite is a tie between Astarion and Lae'zel. As you can imagine, this is a predicament. I love them both so much. So, so, so much and I haven't even played the game. (Waiting until full release because by then I'll have a better PC rig and I want this game at ultra def.)
lol the first thing i do is to use the 304 man of Astarion as target practice and then i kill the 304 man. Cannot stand him. *spit*

@@victorhugo3952 could've been worse. Played until the Phase Spider Matriarch boss fight last sunday and haven't been able to touch the game again since. Planning to game again this weekend, wish me luck 🤞

Can vampire spawns die by other ways than a stake to the heart excluding the sun in normal cases and stuff? To me Astarion shouldn't die so easily unless completely beheaded.
Yes, they die in D&D from players hitting them enough.

yes since a Vampire Spawn is not a Full Vampire
Astarion said so himself that he didn't actually get any strength expected in a vampire despite getting their weaknesses. That means he can die exactly like a human would but they also can't survive the sun's rays. He also can't eat regular food and must rely on raw blood from living creatures.

I was really hoping that if you chose to play as an origin character, every dialogue will be voiced. This severly hampers my desire to ever play an origin character

I often replay the scene many times to show the desired outcome.

Maybe they entered the cutscene as Astarion

Companions can also be played as origin characters.

man, as far as I'm concerned, a reversal of the usual "blood and gore are allowed more than sex" would've been incredibly refreshing. but no..... that is still true in BG3. the sex is still downplayed for the censors but the violence is not.

yup. there's a bunch of scenes only available if you use it.

Is all of this a mod or how do you get this scene?
Not sure if there's a specific trigger required for this, but I got it on my next long rest after reaching the goblin camp (though obviously you won't get this particular part if you don't have Lae'zal in your camp). Could be related, or trigger after a certain level, or even just after you rest a certain number of times, but it's not a mod or anything, it's a part of a larger scene that is part of the game's main story.
I believe you just have to rest a LOT to get this scene. It's not modded or anything.
@@smugpug3093 No, just rest a lot isn‘t enough. To get this scene you must use the tadpole one or two times. Something that I try to avoid.
