His name is Nelson. He lived in a village in Greece, suffering from leismania, scabies and many bacterial on his skin. It was like he was invisible to everyone until the newly merried couple Aliki Salmas and Walter Van der rijst where driving through that village as they were on their honeymoon in Greece and saw him. They couldn't take him along but couldn't forget him either. With the kind help of their friend Stephanie they started searching for help. Then they found the Greek Animal Rescue organization in England , one of the best organizations in the world. Diane Chapman took the dog and drive to us. We kept him under our care and after he recovered Aliki and Walter adopted him!!!!!
As you can understand many people cooperated to save this dog and he so deserves it! Today he lives happily in Canada with his amazing family.

I was so angry to see the ill-condition this animal was in and how he was left in so much pain....but then he was found and shown love & compassion....these awesome people showered him with pure love, kindness & care, nursed him back to health, gained his trust, and just brought the sparkle back to his eyes. I’m thankful for those that have a passion for nurturing & healing! ❤️
What an amazing transformation! The difference in his eyes from the first few days until the last photographs/video of him. His coat is beautiful. His eyes are shining and glossy, and he laughs. He's glorious now.

I truly have a disdain for hunters who abuse and use animals for their selfish purposes. These animals are treated like...let me rephrase that thought to explain who these trolls really are. They have no compassion for the pooches and dispose of them as you will change a shirt. No wonder the pooch was terrified of people for the first few days until he began to realize that there are good people too. I'm happy that he escape that house of horrors and is finally happy with a family who loves him.
Your disdain is shared by many.Hunters are cruel and selfish.
@@katekay634 First they're out murdering other animals and secondly the way they treat their loyal dogs that were bred to hunt they treat like trash.
Give the animals the guns and I've no doubt that tho they've been treated horribly they'd still show compassion towards their abusers. Dogs are immensely loyal and that makes them very susceptible to the unwarranted treatment they receive.
What a lovely happy ending to a very sad start.... He got a beautiful home with those lovely people. Thanks to DAR..and the lady who went to pick him up... 💓🐕

This heartbreaking story is another proof of humans indifference when they see a faint shadow of a dog.....wether the dog is starving, ill, abandoned or injured people tend to look away, walk the other way, not understanding the hurt and pain it inflicts ...If you see a suffering dog in extrem need of help, please help it, because there is nothing more beautiful than to see this transformation, it´s a miracle...Hats Off to the people that saved him, gave him all the care and love he needed.....

That's a perfect example of what love, rescue, food/ medications, time, oh did I mention love lol and a furever family can do. Without donations this can only happen to a few dogs. With donations the possibilities are endless! Donate and please share video, the more people know, the more help, more food, more awareness & education and more forever homes. My wish for DAR is one day there won't be a need for a shelter anywhere, because all the animals will have homes. Thanks again for bringing awareness to everyone and for saving innocent lives. What's sad is that no one cared, until that one special person found him, or he would have died. So sad that whoever he belonged to didn't care enough to take care of him, and what a beautiful dog, he looks like a Spaniel, English maybe. It seems like breeds don't matter anymore, people just throw away so many dogs, and so many are born every year, and so many aren't wanted and will live out on the street! 😢😢
