This worked great for redoing the shower/bathtub of my kid's bathroom. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfiuHoZJo3bgdVPFRxQ-iqPpfbEHl2cYt I didn't like the guide, so I took it off. I just used a fine tipped sharpie on the tile and followed that line. It does make a wet mess, and once I started looking like I wet myself I started wearing a towel and apron while cutting. The blade it came with worked great until we wore it out. It was better than the replacement one we bought. I tried looking for just their blade, but failed. Not really for larger tiles unless you stack stuff on either side to support the tiles. Anyway, would definitley buy again.
Got this tile cutter and it was the worse. Tried to cut 36 inch long tile and it broke them all. Thank God I had extra tile from a previous job I did to use as practice.. It would have cost me so much money if I didn’t test it out at home first. Your blade must have been a really good one because I had to go over my tile several times and it still wouldn’t give me a straight cut all the way down ... it made a sharp right turn cut right across the tile when I wanted a straight line. Tried to send it back and they just said keep it, I guess they didn’t want it either.
I've bought cheap 40inch tile cutter for £100. In the UK from a tiling brand called vitrex. watching your video gave me confidence the tile cutter should surfice for my one bathroom. 12mm porcelain tiles.
Makes me wonder if the cutting wheel is 80% of these things. I've had a $130 rubi that sucked, lot of flex in the handle. The one in this video is definitely more rigid, and being a new wheel it did well. Seems like a good option for diy homeowners. Even if it does suck that China is trying to flood the market with cheap tools.
You bought a ruby for $130 used I believe, you forgot to mention that, if you want a new one my man it's a lot more than that I'm telling you for 30 years of experience Ruby is still number one for many many years
The thing about that kind of cutter is that you have to do the entire length, unlike a saw which you can cut into it then turn the tile and cut in another direction.
Love all your videos bro! Can you do some technical video? Maybe how you go about your lay out and placement ideas, different vapor barrier options and quality/longevity differences, like old school techniques with tar paper or like what if you had none at all or what if you used plastic sheeting behind the backer board? Maybe some flood test about them as well. What kind of mortar do you prefer and why? How’s the tile biz in in SoCal vs other markets? Blade reviews? What to look for in a blade. Cheap vs expensive blades would be a good one. 👍 How do you bid jobs and what do you charge vs going rates? I understand if you don’t want to give all the tricks but I haven’t seen many in depth videos about areas of tile. I make tile full time so I need about it all. Other videos ideas could be about the material science of tile. Like ceramic vs glass vs porcelain etc.
You don't need an expensive cutter to cut tile...The only advantage with a sigma or montolit is that they have a nice ruler so you don't have to mark your tiles and that speeds up installation.
Keep up the good work...I enjoy my RUclips tile pro's. Sometimes on the small rippers I'll span my margin trowel under the snapper feet to get a clean break.
Is a well worth while too. I have found it will cut sometimes my more expensive cutter will not cut. And more portable, Not quite as accurate but if you take care and use a pencil, Job done it's a good one
Bought this cutter from eBay to cut 1200mm ×600mm porcelain tile. It hasn't worked for a single times. Maybe works for 600mm tiles or ceramic. But definitely not for 1200mm porcelain tiles.
Bought one of these on Ebay 2 months ago. Came in a box like yours. 75% of the time does not break along the score line at the opposite end of hard 12"' x 24" porcelain tile. Even with multiple passes still vears off the score line left or right. Wheel sounds like its cutting smoothly but still no cigar. What gives?
A buddy of mine just got one of these off amazon...I was skeptical but it works really good for him. He’s kind of a cheapskate, I opted for the rubi speed 96, pretty slick cutter but it ain’t no 100 bucks
We just bought a new tile cutter from lowes and it hasnt cut a tile yet without breaking it unevenly. Its getting frustrating and discouraging. We have tried all different techniques and nothing is working. The tile is 12x24 porcelain made in italy, so I dont know what the issue is. Do you have any tips?
If you are a DIY'er, homeowner or starting out in a tile install business, this does work and saves time if you don't own a cutter and rip cut your large and long tiles on a wet saw.
Question: when tiling a shower, do you tile the walls or the pan first? and where the wall and pan meet do you use grout or silcone with it being almost a corner?
@@cohenyoel83 I'm on the same boat! I LOVE second hand QUALITY tools! I come across such great tools on LetGo, OfferUp & Craigslist for crazy cheap.. for less then the price of this cutter (with patience) I can usually find something really good.
Great video but absolutely not a true review of the cutter. I got the same exact cutter and it will never cut like in the video and yes I am a tile contractor. Im not comparing this cutter with a Sigma or any other high quality cutter but what he shows in the video is impossible to do .
The tile saw is here: amzn.to/2EUZ9Ml
Brought it because of your review and your video was 100% accurate. Love it. Thanks.

Once again you prove it is not the tools but the man using them
I bought the 48 inch version for a 48 plank. Job done. I ll keep for another job with long planks

Excellent!
eBay $65.00. Laser is adjustable and works fine” indoors”. Cheap as they come and good for diy!
Love your reviews bro. Thx for spending your dollars so I know where to spend mine. Much thanks dude
Glad you like them!

filming a blade video as we speak! I have 6 of them to show and review, stay tuned brother!
Landberg Tile TV nice!
It’s definitely not a Montolit but it’s cheap and functional. Nice review.
Another very well done review buddy boy!! Hooe all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!!

Tried to check out the t-shirts link.. but coming up with a sorry out of order.
Thanks so much for that heads up! The links are fixed and active now.
Do one of the best tile cutters in the market I always use the Rubi I want to switch

thanks for posting!
They also offer a 48" for only about $40 more.

I got a quick question. How come nobody has made a video on any of the Sentinel brand tile cutter...?
Another Great video. you are the best
Disposable Tile Cutter. However, there’s a place for this product because of price.👍

New tile cutters regardless of quality should cut quick and clean out of the box. Return it and try another..
Thank you for the video
good tile man
sort of like the QEP CUTTER,you reviewed
Thx
Would you always recommend buttering the tile aswell as troweling the adhesive on the floor?
For much better coverage. We ALWAYS back butter our large tiles, it's a must.
Them reusable floor leveling systems will you do a video and review I want to see what they are like
I already have one called Turn buckle system. 👍
it's very good👍
Does it cut travertine? Thanks
Good, Fast, or Cheap. You only can have 2 out of 3 at best. 😂
Hello sir. Iam using 24x48 porcelain tiles for kitchen back splash. Is that a good idea, whats the best way to cut out outlet squares??
Grinder
I don't get it. What is the reason to buy this tile cutter? Thanks for your review anyway.

Landberg Tile TV it’s like Youn didn’t even watch and listen!..good review!

Hi ! I'm a new member. I 'm french and i like your vidéos! 👍👍 Do you know where I can order this big tile cutter ?
Thanks a lot...
Thanks! the link is in the description.
Question: when tiling a shower, do you tile the walls or the pan first? and where the wall and pan meet do you use grout or silcone with it being almost a corner?
We tile the pan first and yes, we use matching silicone for the sides where the two planes meet. 👍
@@LandbergTileTV awesome, thanks for responding! i really enjoy your videos
Great for the DYI home owner, but everything cheaper on EBAY....
But is it really 48 inches or 120 cm?
I think I measured and a bit over 48"
How many rupees. Indian money
looks like rubbish but it seems to cut well. ~Ill stick with Sigma :) Which i just bought a sigma 3p2k 102cm :)
NIIIIIce i buy only second hand,as I don't use much but when I use I want it to be clean cuts and easy

thoughts on this one vs the qep?
They are about equal.
Great question!!! And I'm sad about the answer 🤣 just bought the Qep "big clinker" I'm suddenly struck with some SERIOUS buyers remorse 😭
WHat am I doing wrong?
Please please thanks brother god bless you
How Much Indian Mani
I bought 1 and cut the 48 in tiles polished , and I regret that I bought it, totally waste your money and destroy your tiles
Work smarter not harder
crazy idea, try the unit out before you make the video.
unbox test and first impression
😂 " that's not working"

those cut are far away from clean
