great recipe grego. may i suggest you add some nutmeg to the potatos when you have sliced them. also you can do this recipe with butter instead of cheese if you are ever stuck.

Took me until just now to make it I used 2 double cream tubs and only thing I altered was to add two continental jelly chicken stock cubes -and I added white onion. Did 5 layers of onion and cheese. Finished top with parmasen and did some bacon finely diced. Kitchen smells gold. Think I need to do a steak alongside this tonight!😋

Potato Bake is technically a Potato Lasagna. Which you can include layers of cooked beef mince if you like. All good left hand cut Aussie ingredients, except for the Chinese minced garlic. 'Please buy Australian'.
I make mine from pre cooked potatoes sliced , French onion packet soup mix with garlic and cream .. bacon bits layered with onion . And cheese And bake for about 20 minutes . You’re welcome .
Looks quite nice to be honest. Could you have diced and fried some bacon and shoved those bacon bits on top of the melted cheese at the end of cooking..?

My tip would be to cut some block cheese slices instead. That shredded packaged cheese is full of cellulose and also block cheese just tastes better.

Nice one, just a tip after 30 mins when you remove the foil, that's when you should add the top layer of cheese. That way it won't stick.👍😎🇬🇧
