Shopping for a range only? I'd go Bluestar over Miele for the higher BTUs, easier-to-clean sealed burners, and aesthetic variety. Shopping for a kitchen package - fridge, range, dishwasher, wall oven - then Miele's my choice.
Love your channel. My go to source for appliance info. What is your experience with the new BS Dual fuel range from a service perspective? I had the platinum 48 inch all gas and loved it. Sold my house after a year though and the new owners have had trouble with the small we oven. What’s your experience with the all gas 48 inch from a a service perspective?
I chose an all gas range by bluestar because I wanted a true rugged range without all the electronics. It really depends on what the customer is looking for .
I don't get why people keep saying that sealed burners are easy to clean. They get food and grease stuck on them before you finish making the dish. And the more electric things on an appliance, the better chance it's going to break on you. All gas bluestar premium for the win every time.
Like the splash guard thing. Be nice if the Industry would adopt that over the "rising air duct" thing that used to be an option....and maybe could be again😅😅😅😅
I prefer cooking with wood. Yup, just let me fill up the oven with tinder and a log. The flames eventually come out of the top. Yum, that's real cookin! 😊
I had the Bluestar 6 burner stove top in my last house and it was terrible at holding a simmer - too powerful even on the smallest burner. The new house has a less expensive GE Profile gas range and it holds the simmer much better than the Bluestar.
My Miele range sucks. I have had HR 1136-1 in service for 3 years and I have spent over $2k for various service things and something is basically broken every 6 months. And now I have one burner that doesn't burn cleanly and fouls the starting - the ignition wont stop clicking. Miele USA has not been helpful! Never again, and would never recommend this brand to anyone. Trying to get them to take it back so I can buy something else.
Not a fan of Bluestar from the multiple difficulties I had with in warranty customer service. When I escalated my issues I was ignored. Beautiful product but just not impressed with the post sale experience.
Bluestar is a horrible company to deal with. Just absolute nightmare. We purchased their 12K french door double oven. Had it for maybe 2 years. Everytime the power was out in a storm or blackout the oven would not power back on. Everytime it needed a service call to come out remove the oven main electronics reseat everything. We replaced most of the internals at our own expense. Thousands in parts. Bluestar was a miserable vendor. Many times shipping the wrong parts, and ultimately never fixing the problem. In 2 years the oven was broken for almost 8 of 24 months. Ultimately we gave up and it delivered to the scrap yard. A grand total of close to 17,000$ in oven and parts. Bluestar blows.

THANK YOU. Finally, Bluestar got some recognition from Yale !!!
To be honest, not everyone wants a "smart appliance."
Come on!!! We give them love...when warranted.
@YaleAppliance1 does Yale offer phone consultations for us unfortunate ones who live in other regional states that can't shop with you guys?

I don’t want open burners and still trying to figure out the range for me. I currently have Viking but after 15 years, it has some issues

Completely agree with you. I also think the open burners are much easier to clean since everything comes apart and can be put in the sink to wash.
@@michaelkagan6910but where do the spills go?? When I lifted off the burner, there was just a hole…
Always good info. Thanks!

Blue star vs Wolf
