    I‘ve been on durian riders protocol for the past 15 months (to the peak, 10-20g of fat per day, daily walking and exercise, 7-9pm bedtime and lots of water). I gained 40lbs, which sucks, but I come from past severe restriction and overtraining. Don’t get discouraged, the healing takes a shit ton of time. Sometimes I also wonder if I‘ll ever lose the weight, but what other option do I really have? Again back to restriction?? Fuck no, I came this far, I‘ll keep doing it. You should also keep doing it, your body will thank you!

      look into carnivore diet, or keto. alot of people lost weight and reversed insulin resistance, there are alot of studies, specially on keto, u can do more of a paleo style keto which is having on veges and low carb. these high carb diets are not sustainable and certainly not goodfor weight loss, specially this guy and feelee , they casued so many EDs in people. one of the reason people loose weight on carnivore or paleo because there is no restriction, u eat until u are stuffed and both protein and fats are very satiating. and no fats dont cause problems as long as u are low carb which is why two options either high carb diet or high fat. 15 months is very long time, i saw in keto groups in 3 months people loose 30 to 50 pounds. sure u can take 6 months but 15 months . choose a diet that works for u thats the best solution

And only seasoned my food with unrefined natural mineral salt and some fresh cracked black pepper and had noticeable drops in some stubborn fat I had. Also only drank water or some matcha. I also do intermittent fasting. Lately I have added some raw cane sugar back in as a treat where I will make some sweet tea or just have some straight up sugar water or make a banana smoothie with added sugar in.

    On either keto or "durianrider" opposite, you get rid of foods from your diet like cake and chips - e.g. all the delicious fat and carbohydrate combinations that are easy to gain weight on. I'd imagine you still crave those things on keto though. It looks an unsatisfying way to eat. Only dairy I have is skimmed milk and occasionally a small amount of cheese.
    I wasn't losing weight the first two years due to eating slightly too much fat (in my case eating at church or at friends' houses). The day is won or lost on this diet between +/- 20g of fat but if you are strict with it, the weight will gradually go down. Exercise will speed up the process (provided you don't "refuel" it with high fat sources of carbohydrate).

    The stress management and ability to stay jovial has got to be the best thing about the high carb lifestyle. Even if you don't lose weight right away you become 100% better as a person. Yeah I understand that its damn near impossible to cut fat out permanently as it crops up everywhere. The weight gain gets everyone. It got me. I got to 185. Man that sucked, my fitness sucked, my joints hurt, tough to watch myself blow up in the mirror, but there is a point where you just feel this confidence that your body is ready, and that you don't have to eat so much to feel that same level of well being and joy. It comes with a feeling of being satisfied on less. Make no mistake, though, as you get towards the bottom of your body fat you ironically do start eating more calories in general again, as your body is at its limit and needs to maintain the delicate balance of keeping your metabolism, mood, and personality going with virtually no fat reserves left.

    • @TimpBizkit

      Well if you run out your fat reserves you can scoff a chunky slab of cake and a cheesy pizza, but not BEFORE then.

    Do you want to try adding lots of steamed vegetables, soups with your potatoes/rice beans? Have you read "The Starch Solution" by Dr John McDougall, free to download on his website? I eat fruit as long as I care for into the day and then in this order raw vegetables, steamed vegetables, hearty soup no fat added, then potatoes/rice, beans/legumes. This way I slowly became my ideal weight over two years.

    • @Henryisvegan
      @Henryisvegan  Год назад

      That actually sounds like a good idea. I think adding soup to rice would taste great. I think the only reason I don’t make soups is that it takes long to cook and then prepping the veggies. I like throwing rice in the rice cooker and pressure cooking the beans which takes minimal effort. But I’m cutting the beans out as I think they are too much protein.

    I respect ur efforts and your buy into DR protocol but if ur in a calorie surplus the weight isn’t gonna come off. Yes if ur very low fat carbs don’t convert to fat as easily but a calorie surplus is a calorie surplus- you won’t lose fat. Also any reputable longevity researcher will agree that sugar is not the answer to long term health. Also without adequate fats your hormone profile will go to shit (DR has been on test for years). And all those carbs without fats and protein just leaves me insatiable. It pains me to hear you say you need to cut out the beans cause they have protein and you need to just exercise more. Plant based whole food low fat diet I do believe is the healthiest diet cause it’s backed by science - but at same token if I believe in the science I can’t assume unlimited sugar and calories via carbs will help me lose fat but will just take time cause I’m healing. I haven’t seen one former fat person lose weight successfully by this DR protocol not one - the people who say it works have always been thin. Good luck I’m rooting for you and not trying to criticize I know it’s tough and we just want to be healthy .
