Virtual Desktop NOW supports multiple monitor supports
Virtual Desktop now supports multiple monitors! 🎉 Previously, it only allowed streaming one monitor at a time, but the latest update changes that. Here’s the scoop:
Headsets and Monitor Support:
Meta Quest 3 can handle three monitors simultaneously.
Quest 2, Quest Pro, Pico 4, Pico Neo 3, Vive Focus 3, and Vive XR Elite support two monitors.
Quest 1 can handle a single 1080p monitor.
Resolution:
Quest 3 can stream one monitor at 4K or multiple at 1440p.
Most other headsets are limited to 1440p for one monitor or 1080p for multiple.
Bitrate:
You can stream one monitor at 120mbps, two monitors at 60mbps each, or three monitors at 40mbps each.
Windows Virtual Monitors:
On Windows, the extra monitors can be entirely virtual, similar to Horizon Workrooms and Immersed.
You could turn a laptop into a virtual triple monitor setup.
Mac Users:
Virtual monitors aren’t officially supported yet, but third-party solutions like BetterDisplay can help.
Additional Changes:
The update also brings keyboard passthrough support on Quest.
You can arrange monitors automatically or manually in the settings.

What's the max amount of screens you can have? Also does this connect and load quickly? I've used Immersed and it feels so slow to get started and the lag is hard to deal with.
quest 3 I can only add one monitor ?I can't add the second one. the icon used to add becomes inactive

im using mac and it wont let me click add monitor, the option is there but its not clickable. Any clue on how to fix this?
Not sure on MAC as not a MAC user, they might be still working on adding it. Best bet is to jump onto the discord and ask Ggodin (the developer)

does this mean i could this while laying down just using the built in adjustments?
yeah I reckon , havent tried myself with VD but last month Meta enabled 'lying down' support (toggle in settings)
, I tried it yesterday with Google Earth VR and was pretty comfortable.. This is one of my best features as Im lazy so I do most of my VR lying down 🤣
