I stumbled across your channel the other day. I like it. I’m a saltwater fisherman bank fishing and offshore Southern California. Don’t hate me because I’m from So. Cal haha. It’s just a stereotype. Let’s face it, we can only be excited about so many skipjack and catfish being pulled into the boat. In my opinion the real success of your videos is the commentary. In a nutshell you said one time “in our life we are told something that becomes engrained into our lives….the herd mentality…nobody questions the legitimacy….etc etc. “ That is the good stuff right there! It’s the commentary that will keep the viewer entertained and interested in more. Keep it up man!

Appreciate your great content. Appreciate the Goo Goo Dolls shoutout even more. They’ve provided the soundtrack to some of my best memories in life since I was about 10 years old. My best friend and his family used to take me surfing in their old VW Camper every opportunity they got and since the early noughties they’ve been my go-to band for almost every trip down south! Great shout that was dude!

It also occurs to me that by being a role model for safe boating practices, you are protecting children from the loss of a parent or other relative. Nothing would sour a child more on fishing than to associate a seriously painful loss with it. You are looked to by many for all the ways you show how to fish, including safety issues. Even amid a tournament you were wise enough to come to shore as a storm approached. Sure, that episode included awkward moments but your good-natured humor helped make the point that safety counts.

Exactly why I have stopped 80% of the bass fishing I do. You catch a big one take your pictures and before you know it that fish has been out of the water for lord knows how long. You have to revive it and there is no telling how long it’ll live after that. I personally do not eat bass, but realizing that it crossed my mind “why possibly kill this fish for a damn picture.” Now I stick to Crappie and Cats

Talk about an odd fishing year I can definitely relate. My normal go-to fishing spot produces quality blues March through mid-June. Then the spawn starts to set in up here in the mtns. Late August till late October, quality flatheads. This year, all spring early summer quality flatheads totally backward. So we'll see this fall if the blues pick up. Totally caught me off guard. Which any time I get into some flatheads, I'm tickled to death.

The boxes I put in the rivers, not the lake, allow the fish to spawn while I'm not checking it. Helps them make more babies. And keeps the natural spawn locations left alown. So, in reality, we help way more than we keep. Also, I have personally seen the same fish multiple times in a week out of the same hole. And several fish from year to year. I also fish with rod and real. But talking crap about a fishing of others is crazy while you kill bait fish every time you come out to fish. Good way to bost your algorithm.

It's too bad you had a bad experience with Nucanoe. I've had their Pursuit for 3 years. Over 1000 hours of hard use. No keel guard, drag it everywhere, dropped it off my car, ran it into boulders, etc... No issues. I imagine their new Unlimited is even better.
Perhaps give them another try. With your level of exposure they might even sponsor you.
    Great video as always.

Hey man just want to give you a shout out. Just to tell you that you have helped me learn so so much because i am doing exactly what your doing. I will say catfish sumo bait flies really do work ! I have personally caught different species of fish just seeing the rod tip move a little and they end up with the hook set and landed ! I have also used many different products you have shown on your channel and its made me a better fisherman for sure 100%. Thanks for doing what you do. Even my wife sometimes catches one of your fishing trips with me from time to time because I dont miss one. Keep being you buddy because I enjoy your videos and the way it is uncut and we are really seeing the grind. I would say that I do think something would be cool that a lot of anglers i watch don’t do. Show the fish finder like in the corner of the screen maybe some pointers on how you use it and some ways to make it easier.. Thanks for your time if you cared enough to read all of this. Another awesome fishing video by Kayak Catfish !!!

Why dont u get with a kayak company or have katfish sumo get into launching a kayak and design your own kayak? Just a thought...

That would be really cool but I don’t think the kayak catfishing market is big enough at this point in time for a company to consider making a kayak specifically for us.

@KayakCatfish but at some point I think it's gonna end up being a bigger market than u think. Why not get ahead of the competition and tie ur golly whopper rods into it with Daniel and start a new market??

Lightening is unforgiving. It’s too late to run. Thunder can proceed the Lightening by several miles. Beware.

Reactive? That's funny. Fish and game aren't just proactive, they are creactive. They go to college and become dumber and dumber.
