Graham Staines was burnt alive along with their two sons Philip (aged 10) and Timothy (aged 7) by a mob led by the Bajrang Dal activist Dara Singh in Odisha, India on 22 January 1999.

In Manipur, it is not a Hindu-Christian issue at all. It is a historic ethnic problem between Meitei and Kuki tribes. Both Churches and Temples were burned down during the Manipur ethnic violence.

Christian missionaries should not violate the Constitution by insisting that only Christianity and Jesus are the true religion or true God. This is opposite to the idea of diversity and secularism. In India, there are hundreds of religions and millions ( 33 million) of Gods. India wants all these Gods and several religions to be practiced and respected. Islam has also been arguing that Allah and Islam are the only true God or true religion or Kafirs. This is not acceptable under the Indian constitution. Islam and Christianity are foreign religions and the foreign religious leaders should take note of this policy and live peacefully in India.

Poor Christians are psychologically being forced to give away 10% of their earning by the pastors. Exploitation by pastors is in full swing leading to poverty and lack of active mind caused by spending too much time in praying and working for church.

Let's not be blind to the FACT that British rule/Christian based country, had the following effects on India: Unemployment, famine, poor sanitary conditions, lack of access to education and healthcare, caste-based oppression, religious violence and gender-based violence are all a part of the legacy of colonialism. The British came to India for trade and to establish colonies. They also wanted to spread Christianity throughout the country. To India it's the equivalent of Communism coming to the United States.

The missionaries who came here from different countries back in the day who helped Indians set up schools, hospitals, skills workshop and many other things, etc are really a blessing for all of us, but the saddest part is that the English government persecuted these missionaries and organisations because they were encouraging Indians to participate in the freedom struggle for Independence.
So, When we say something or comment we should get the facts right whether it is to our liking or not.
As an Indian who found Christ later in life, I would agree with the assessment given by both of you. It’s not that Indians had or have a problem with Christianity. I grew up in a Hindu household but my journey to Christianity has been positively accepted by my family. Past and present resistance to faith comes from hundreds of years of suppression and humiliation caused by British empire.

If the Christian and Islamist main goal is to CONVERT the Indian Hidu to their religion and dogmas then I would say YES, the BJP will not tolerate. In fact, they are one of the prosperous communities. 2) They used to do and still do a lot of conversion activities - converting Hindus to Christians - which is in fact abuse of the constitution of India. "religious freedom" does allow conversions. Therefore, the BJP govt has rightly made the inflow of money accountable. For hundreds of years foreign funding kept coming to India, and all such funding remains like two huge churches in one sq.kilo meter, without letting it go to the needy, and used in such a way that the pastors and clergymen became rich. Though it is the religions own internal matter for India it's a nonsense. Hence, the govt rightly controlled inflow of funds. 3) Christians spread hate against Hindus, but they won't do it in Muslim countries, because they will castrate the missionaries. Hence, if secularism is a danger to the majority, the country should do what is in its best interest. Any country should do the same.
