FIRST CLASS BUS FROM SINGAPORE TO KUALA LUMPUR! 🇲🇾 (Transtar Travel Bus Review | Full Experience!)

  • Are you wondering if it's worth it to pay for the luxury bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur or vice versa? Well, yes it is! There you have it :)
    But still watch the video so you know what to expect, and well... because it will help our channel if you give us 9 minutes of your time, and maybe we can make back the money we invested to make this video 😂
    The company we used is called Transtar Travel. We used this website to book our tickets:
    easybook.com
    There are going to be several companies listed there, and they're probably similar, but we can only recommend the one we used. Hope you find this Transtar Travel Bus Review useful to plan your own trip!
    As mentioned in the video, we payed $45 p/p. Not sure why, but our bus picked us up outside of SG's center area. We had to go to that random stop you saw in the video... but it all worked out.

    Welcome back. Luxury buses between the two countries is not a new thing though. In the early days, aeroline was a brand name but now many brands have appeared. Aeroline still ply between kl and singapore. It is unfortunate malaysia cancelled the high speed rail project due to some constraints brought about by covid19 and political change of gov. The estimated travel time using the proposed hsr was 90 minutes between kl and singapore . We hoped that in the near future a big private company can fund it.

    You have to be back in Malaysia or Singapore in 2027. In 2026 Electrified Double track train between Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru will be completed. Whilst connecting Rapid Transit System between Johor Bahru and Singapore is scheduled to be completed by end of 2026. So 2027 would be a perfect year for both of you to try out these new trains.
    High Speed Train (250-350 km/hr train) is also planned between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The politics and finance talk between the country is yet to be concluded. Once this is done, then it will be your next trip to Malaysia/Singapore.

    Thanks for this video, it's so informative and fun to watch! I'm thinking of going from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur by bus as well but I'm a bit concerned about the proof of onward travel that they might ask for when I'm entering Singapore. Is it enough proof of onward travel to have a bus ticket? Did you get asked for it when you came into Singapore?

    How many hrs is the travel from SG to KL via bus?

  • @michaelbollom4737
    @michaelbollom4737 5 месяцев назад +1

    There is no best bus from Singapore to KL: no matter which company you use the journey is painful. I have tried so many companies and for a while I swore off the trip altogether. But today I was traveling with some special luggage so I tried the bus again. I booked Transtar as it has been noted a “luxury” carrier. But there’s not much luxury aside from the very wide, reclining seats. No blankets, no wifi, no entertainment system, but there was a charging outlet. But that’s not the problem. The issues are the boarder and the “lunch break”. If you board at Jurong East you can save up to an hour on your journey as most companies drive around Singapore picking up passengers at various points. This is painful. But the border involves stopping and disembarking at both the Singapore and Malaysian checkpoints. Everyone one must get their passport checked and luggage as well in the arrival country. Then you must wait for stragglers. We left Jurong East at 9AM, but were not through the Malaysian check until after 11AM. THEN at noon the bus stopped at the same awful “rest stop” that all of the busses seem to stop at. As far as I could tell, few people had lunch-mostly we just waited for the driver. We did not arrive at JBS (the large bus station on the south side of KL) until just before 4PM, about 6 hours after we left Johor. The distance is less than 300 km. That’s a slow trip. Given how cheap flights can be on Air Asia or FireFly, it’s best to drive.

    quick question... what's the policy on mask wearing now on the trains/monorail/buses in both Malaysia AND Singapore? I'm on the Transtar website and it mentions mandatory mask wearing while on the bus. From all the recent travel vlogs I've watched, there aren't that many people wearing masks now.
    *I'm not for/against mask wearing.. just curiously asking. thanks!*

      @waysoftheworld_  3 месяца назад

      Hello - there is no policy that I'm aware of that mandates mask wearing while using public transportation. We certainly were never instructed to wear it - so it's just a personal preference thing at this point 👍

    Hey guys did you need to show proof of exit when you entered Singapore? Same question when you entered Malaysia, did they ask for a proof of return ticket or onward ticket?

    • @waysoftheworld_
      @waysoftheworld_  5 месяцев назад

      Howdy, yea I'm pretty sure it's a requirement for SG. The entry is all digital, so I guess it was asked then. But honestly, I don't remember. For Malaysia I wasn't asked (US passport), my wife was asked (Venezuela Passport). I think it's best to be safe for both countries.

      They are generally not super strict with luggage in these buses... we're not 100% sure because we travel with carry-on, but we saw people with bigger suitcases ;)

    looks very comfortable, taking the bus to Kuala Lumpur from Singapore, more comfortable than taking a plane. How long does it take to take the bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur? greeting from England

    • @waysoftheworld_
      @waysoftheworld_  2 месяца назад

      An express bus will take about 4-5 hours, but of course it depends on traffic and border control. I think the bus we took has a different schedule than other buses, and border control was empty so we flew through. Cheers 🙌
