Movies nowadays rely so much on CG. Don't me wrong, it's cool what they can do. But there's a reason why old school movies are better, they used animatronics.
As much as I admire these VFX and green screens opening the portal to other worlds, nothing beats classic, real life cinematography. After seeing many, many green-screened superhero films, I watched Top Gun Maverick and Transformers 2007 (on a recent Fathom Event) and because they never use green screen when they can record in real life, everything looks better, more real, and more immersive. Even the giant robots from 2007 look more realistic than Avengers Endgame since the spaces where they were added were recorded in real life. Always choose real life over green screen when possible.

I feel for all the actors who have spent weeks in uncomfortable suits, hung on wires and having to hold themselves in unnatural ways to make it look like they’re in water or flying, and then get replaced by CGI.
What then should they do with the dog part? They spent weeks in uncomfortable suits to give you reality in the movie. These are real life stuff not drama festivals.
They get millions to do that, and are destroying the art form at the same time, so they are sell outs and I hate them. Oh yeah, those frog men guys don't get paid millions of course, they are just desperate little minions who are contributing to the making of artless crapola.
With the exception of Tom Cruise doing his own stunts, the real stars of these movies are the FX people behind the scenes whose names disappear quick on fast rolling credits.
