Amazing. This not only eliminates wrist pain, the haircuts turn out SO much better once you get the hang of cutting this way. More even smooth cut, not choppy looking. Yay! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!

Very interesting! I start cosmetology school in a few days, and this made me think about what bad habits I could potentially pick up. Having sat at a computer for the past 10 years, my right hand/wrist is already unhappy with having been holding a mouse. Super informative and I'm glad I saw this before I start!

It's also because hairdressers use cheap scissors where the blades are made from low grade stainless steel. If is high grade with cobalt the scissors are sharper hold the edge longer and you don't need to press hard on each cut particulary on curly or coarse wiry hair and your hands don't ache at the end of the day. My scissors are $1200 scissorline and I never get sore hands anymore at the end of the day. My colleagues use cheap scissors and have to cut up to 6 times each section because the scissors don't cut well. One of them already had a wrist operation and lost 6 weeks work and was in pain, but still uses cheap scissors worth about $30.I only have one movement to cut one section, not 6 and my hands never hurt or feel tired anymore. When I used $35 wahl scissors my hands were in pain cutting coarse hair and were very tired at the end of the day.

Thank you so much for this video! I’m a left hander and I’ve been struggling to figure out how to move and control my scissors. I appreciate this.xc

Hey was wondering about how to protect your wrist with foiling. My hand goes numb every time I foil. Any tips on that? Thanks!

Andrew, I'm just starting school. In fact, my first day is a week from now. Do you exclusively use your dominant hand or have you mastered this technique for both?

I volunteer now in a drop in centre and of course wear gloves for each client. I'm finding it very difficult to handle the scissors and even getting thumb part way fitted. As a result I use the clippers as often as possible. Any suggestions? Many thanks

First off... My hats off to you for volunteering and helping people through hairdressing! I honestly don't know if I have much advice as far as working with your shears with gloves on... It might be worth a trip to a medical supply house to see if there is a better fitting glove or a different material that doesn't stick to the shear as much. We do plan on doing some videos on clipper work in the future so keep your eye out for that. Thanks for the support!

Andrew Carruthers Thanks for your reply Andrew. The Church operates on a budget so I have to keep extra expenses in mind. I'll just keep doing what I am and hope one of your future videos may have an answer for me. Thanks again.
