    This is the second part of the presentation that I gave for the ArchiMentors Summit that happened last year. My presentation was centered around what a career in architectural visualization looks like, how I got into it, and what some of the day to day job looks like.
    In this section I talk more about what skills I had, and what skills I learned in order to be good at doing arch viz. I also talk about the different elements that make up a nice rendering. These are all skills and things that will benefit you if you are looking to start a career in arch viz.
    This is a great presentation for anyone who is interested in working in arch viz, or just wants to know more about the profession and career opportunities. I also offer resources for learning, and landing your first job.

    My question is can you be in this industry of architecture/arch viz if you don't have architecture degree ? I am obsessed with interiors,exteriors and I am well versed with drawings,3d and realistic renderings also I am capable of creating vr walktroughs in engines such as Unreal or Unity 3d but I am scared to make transition because I think companies are searching mainly for people who are actually architects.

      I am not an architect, and neither are any of the people who work for me. We have varying different degrees of experience in architecture/design, ranging from none to quite a bit. Being able to interpret architectural models/plans in an artistic way is key, so a portfolio showing that ability is usually the most important thing.

      I like Archviz not so good at it right now, I am learning, I am that person who renders to see every small details because it gives me dopamine kick when rendering, I am in a crossroads, I have a degree in civil engineering not doing anything related to that working kitchen design consultancy, mostly 2D detailing work here, career is just stagnated need something that generates real income and I enjoy I am considering this, what do u think?

    Do you recommend learning and be good at all arch-viz related software or you recommend mastering selective few?

    • @Learn-archViz

      Start with a few that can generate really good portfolio images. This gets the job! BUT, in practice, you might find (like I do) that you have to be flexible. Architects will use different, or want you to use, different software in order to get different results. And often, there are different tools that are better for whatever it is you are trying to accomplish. So, as a pro, you end up dabbling in many different software solutions. That has been my experience.

    9:22 Hi, can we achieve this kind of model and realism using blender or only 3Ds max can do it ?

    • @Learn-archViz
      @Learn-archViz  Год назад +1

      Sure! As long as Blender can handle the modeling part, which it should be able to just fine. After that, you just need a capable render engine. In 3ds Max I use V-Ray which helps to accomplish much of the realism. V-Ray is available for Blender as well.

    I have a question: I use blender a lot for modeling because I don't have a license for 3ds max. Is blender a good option to model and create arch viz renders?

    • @Learn-archViz
      @Learn-archViz  2 года назад +1

      Totally. Any capable modeling program, like Blender or 3dsMax is great.

      @@MrDebkumarbasu Personally I think you should prefer 3dsmax. Level up 3dsmax to pro, at the same time learn to know a little sketchup software. Blender is good for single object modeling, but it's a bit difficult for Archviz, where you have to work with a lot of objects.

      @@thaiphamminh4101 I have been rinsing sketchup dry for since school and truth be told I liked working on it till it came to complex geometry. But yeah I'll try 3ds max too.

      @@MrDebkumarbasu This is a recruitment request in my country (Vietnam) for the Archviz industry. My country often does outsourcing work from outside companies
      * Interior renderings of 5-star hotels and resorts.
      - Visualize on 3dsmax and V_Ray/Corona, with rendering capabilities.
      - Know Sketch Up to process input files. Because team ID uses Sketch Up to draft the concept.
      - Attention to detail materials and lighting design.
      - Working directly with foreign interior engineers should require professional working skills and basic English reading comprehension.
      *Architecture and planning:
      - Rendering exterior, landscape and overall for Architecture, Planning and Real Estate projects in the country.
      - Visualize on 3dsmax and V_Ray/Corona, with rendering capabilities.
      - Required to know Sketch Up to process input files. Because the projects will be based on the File Sketch Up provided by the customer.
