I like most his elegance. Everything about him starts and ends with a magnificent sense of maners and behavior. And after that the talent explodes.
What stood out to me first is his very unique sexy voice. He is an amazing singer! It's sad he didn't go solo as a singer. His speaking voice is soo sexy and soothing at the same time. There is no one that sounds like him. It really is incredible. Really should include a bit of his singing. The powerful and soft parts of songs from Love me, Love my Voice. I didn't know he existed til this show. He truly is one of a kind. Who else could ever do that role ??‽?!!

He stole the drama from the main leads of Lost You Forever. His performance captivated me and I began searching for other dramas he had done in the past. I began watching him in Love Me Love My Voice and was stunned by the quality of his voice. I also watched him in The Three Kingdoms which was quite entertaining. Needless to say, I can’t wait to see the second half of Lost You Forever. In addition, I would love to hear him on more OSTs for C-dramas like my favorite vocalist Liu Yuning. Since I knew JC-T which I think he’s really a true all-round artist, I found myself looking and browsing Weibo and Xiaohongshu everyday just to know update about him lol 😂 😊💛. I was a fan of many international actor, singer, group from western to Korean but I rarely found a true complete package all-rounder in entertainment industry like Tan Jianci in terms of high professional skills and achievements. He deserves a lot of recognition and I think C-entertainment industry should be proud of him.

The claims of Chinese fans towards actors can only cause bewilderment among normal people. A fan may not like his height, weight, face, etc. They may demand that the actors playing the loving couple also become such a couple in life.
In Russian this is called “confusing the shores”: how can one evaluate growth instead of talent? Why confuse actors and their characters?
It's a pity that in China there is no law protecting actors from such hate. After all, if you don’t like an actor for some reason, then just don’t watch the movie in which he starred. Height is really not an issue. Look at Tom Cruise, Dustin Hoffman and other actors from America that aren't tall. They are great actors because they can act. Tan Jianci falls in that category of actor.
I have watched LMLMV so many times, because it is a great drama. It is fun and the music is great, and it is relaxing and feel good. The friends like to have fun and kid around, but no one is mean or vindictive. They travel to beautiful locations, so that is a plus, too. Plus, it is a beautiful love story. It will become my standard as to what a good drama should be.

I discovered this amazing man only recently in Lost You Forever. He just has such an “intense” energy he gives off as Xiang Liu and it’s magnetic, hypnotizing, you literally cannot look away from those EYES. Angry sexy, dangerous, vulnerable, sad, yearning, kind, sweet laughing eyes….The man and the character are heartbreakingly gorgeous on every level and that “voice” singing every time they come together in the drama and part again is hauntingly beautiful. This is the first time I’ve seen him and his portrayal is mesmerizing both because he can truly be cruel but also strong, loyal, kind and vulnerable. I’m super bummed I can’t watch part 2 because of his outcome in the drama. 😢😢😢
He once quoted about mountains in his way just being things to climb over. It’s just another reason to love him more. People criticize his looks and height but those who don’t understand the kind of inner strength, self-confidence, work ethic it takes to keep putting one foot in front of the other against such pettiness will never be an inspiration like Tan or probably succeed in life. He views his challenges as motivation and because of that he literally SHINES like the star he is. Not a Hollywood star, but the shining light of a star in the sky. It comes from the Soul and burns bright enough to illuminate what really matters - his MANY talents, his sweetness, his resiliency, and to me, his good looks.
Anyone who reduces such a beautiful human being down to his nose, height, teeth will always be blind to seeing the truth. Whether it’s a unique person like Tan or a flower growing through a crack in the sidewalk surviving where it shouldn’t, they will always overlook the beauty around them because everything and everyone must fit into a box of perfection and standard of expectations. Requiring height, looks, weight, multi-talents, that “similarity” of everyone creates stagnation, kills imagination and individuality, everything that makes life, shows, stories, couples, people interesting.
As a relative newcomer to K & C dramas I noticed these things immediately, and I was shocked to discover how mean and demanding “netizens” were? How many are real or bots to drum up interest I don’t know. But I do know if I were in the entertainment industry in either country I’d want to be like Tan, a smaller man he may be but he has a “big sky” heart, inner strength most don’t have, a practical, down to Earth philosophy on how he’s viewed and despite it all, he is getting his much deserved success. To me, THAT is beautiful and inspiring.

I first saw him in Lost you forever, and fell in love with Xiang Liu. He performed that character beautifully as an onion, to peel the layers away to find something new beneath. After that, I saw The centimeter of love as the bratty brother who redeems himself, and Love me, love my voice as a doctor who also is a dubber and he can cook! Large and wonderful cast. I look forward to watching other films he is in. And by the bye, Hollywood had and has lots of actors who are successful and not tall. Tom Cruise is around 5'8".

I wonder about the narrator of this video. Native laguage? I love how slowed down when saying his name. Native Chinese or not? The English letter o was often pronounced as the letter i which was confusing at times. It made me wonder if the narrator was neither an English or Chinese native speaker. (Im sorry.
