I highly recommend “Country Fried Pop Medley “, super fun and surprising! Great reaction guys!
The high voice in the white shirt that you.said stood out this time, Austin Brown, is actually the same guy who sang lead in the other video you reacted to; Man of Constant Sorrow. He was just singing a lot higher this time. Just goes to show how versatile they all are.
This was a big hit for the Oak Ridge Boys back in the day. Old generation with the new generation! Geoff Castellucci from Voiceplay arranged this for them.
Check out HF covering End of the Road and Can't Stop the Feeling.
Great song suggestions! 👍🏻
I love them. Oak Ridge boys are also awesome. They originally did the song in the 80's.
The Home Free bass singers name is Tim Foust,
The high voice in the white shirt from Home Free is Austin Brown.
The beat boxer from Home Free is Adam Rupp.
The Home Free guy with the dark beard is Rob Lundquist.
The other Home Free guy in this video in the ball cap is Chris Rupp (beat boxers brother original band member) he left the band to pursue a solo career.
He was replaced by Adam Chance (he goes by Chance) since there is already an Adam in the group.
Hope that helps!
Great reaction!
Home Free always makes me feel better, however down I'm feeling. Great to see you reacting to them again, and I'm looking forward to more.
The Oakridge Boys did vocal harmony, but with a backing band - no beat-boxing in their day. They saw Home Free perform, and wanted to work with them - the HF guys were big fans of theirs and didn't need a lot of persuading. 😁
You really can't go wrong with anything Home Free does but for something up tempo "Can't Stop The Feeling", something deep "In the Blood", fantastic harmonies amid a spectacular mountain backdrop "How Great Thou Art" and for a laugh their "Butts Remix".
Alex.....so happy to see you finally return to American acapella groups like Perntatonix and Home Free. welcome back. You have so much to catch up on.
There is another a cappella video recently out called "Just Sing" by Voiceplay. It includes a variety of individual artists (including Tim Foust from Home Free). The video was performed during the quarantine, so each singer submitted their own performance and Voiceplay put the pieces together. Voiceplay was on The Sing Off the same year as Home Free and they have remained friends. In fact, Geoff the bass for Voiceplay arranged the Elvira video you just watched for Home Free and the Oaks. If you watch the video, turn captions on so you can see who is performing. Thanks for your reaction. ... Guy

Hello, Alex & Sam. Sam, I LOVE your curly hair. Home Free was on the year after Pentatonix. There are so many great songs from Home Free. I would like to see you react to their songs at the 5 different homes because of the virus. The best is called Quarantine. There is also Down To The Honkytonk and Flowers On The Wall and the latest called Cover Me Up. For the last one, don't stop the video when the song ends because there is a special thing after the song. Have tissues ready for Sam if she sees it. Alex, you might be touched but I don't think you will cry.
There is a rumor going around that Sam is really Liberty Hangout pretending to be Sam for these videos. i know, because I started it! LOL
Pentatonix won The Sing-Off Season 3,
Home Free won The Sing-Off Season 4!
And the year before Pentatonix was Adam Chance in a group called Street Corner Symfoni, think they ended in place 4.
In 2016 when Chris Rupp left Home Free to concentrate on his solo career Adam Chance took his place.
There last song they released was Cover Me Up which was very beautiful. They've also done a few other quarantine songs from their homes.....Quarantine, Down to the Honky Tonk, and Flowers on the Wall. Cover me Up is one along with flowers that you need to watch all the way to the end....even if you think they're through singing.....especially at the end of Cover me Up. All of their songs are great depending on your taste....from serious, gospel, Christmas or just plain fun or silliness just enjoy. Would love to hear more from them though. Nice reaction. Have a good day and stay safe.
I highly recommend watching their live performances (if possible) of the songs you reacted to afterwards. They usually do something more with them and tend to include the audience too.
Great reaction!
You guys are awesome. Great reaction. Hillbilly bone is great and also, can't stop the felling. That one will make you dance in your chairs!!!!!
Oak Ridge Boys are country legends. This was a great video! :)
Every Home free video shows/spotlights a different talent....you never know who's gonna pop out... That's what makes them so great.
The Oak Ridge Boy with the bass voice (green shirt) is Richard Sterban. He sang backup for Elvis back in the early seventies. My best friend in high school played guitar in the Oaks' band for over 20 years. They are amazing singers and great men. Check out some of their stuff.
Sam nailed it. You can’t watch a Home Free video and not come away feeling happy, or at least a lot better than you were at the start if you were feeling down. I enjoyed the reaction. Here are a couple of suggestions:
Blue Ain’t Your Color
My Church
I’m the Blood
Castle on the Hill
Butts Remix
A couple of sadder songs are:
I Can’t Outrun You
What We Ain’t Got
The Oak Ridge Boys are legendary - I love the interaction between them and HF on this video. The have another collaboration together, along with Jeffrey East, on the song "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" - it's just breath-taking. HF have collaborated with such other legends as Alabama ("Christmas in Dixie"), Kenny Rogers ("Children Go Where I Send Thee"), Charlie Daniels ("The Devil Went Down to Georgia"), Don McLean ("American Pie") and Lee Greenwood ("God Bless the U.S.A.").
Intro to the Oak Ridge Boys: The Oak Ridge Quartet was founded in 1947 as a Southern gospel group. The name had been changed to ORB by the time that the last of the current members joined the group in 1973. Those members are: Joe Bonsail (lead); Duane Allen (tenor); Richard Sterban (bass); and baritone William Lee Golden, who does not take the lead in this arrangement. "Elvira," released in 1981, is their signature song.
You kids... If you only knew the history in this song. The Oak Ridge Boys are old school deep country. Many of us oldies grew up on them so this video is a real treat seeing them pass the baton on to the new kings of country. Nice reaction.
Awesome! The beatboxer is killing it
Subscribed tonight. Thanks for reacting to our favorite guys, Home Free! You react, we'll all be there! Have you watched HF sing with Kenny Rogers, Children Go Where I Send Thee. It's awesome! Get even more of a feel for each of the HF guys and Kenny is wonderful of course! Take care.
The Oak Ridge Boys were popular like in the 70's and 80's and still tour. I like that they all did this acapella together without instruments. Home Free's beatboxer Adam Rupp is amazing and you can't really tell at times that there are no instruments with Home Free.
Love Home Free! Welcome to the Home Fries! We love to watch new people discover our guys! Enjoy!
May I suggest their collab with the late great Kenny Rogers " Go where I send thee"
Big Home Free Fan here. I loved your reaction, and hope to see you do more of their video's in the future. btw- I just subscribed.
Went to an Oak Ridge Boys concert once and the guy with the deep voice shook the chairs just doing a mic check
They won the show the bass from home free is Tim Foust on record holds the lowest note he can cover 5 octaves and its great to have new members to the home fries.
when watching acapella groups, always wear headphones
The Oak Ridge Boys started in the 50’s as a Gospel Quartet. In the 70’s, they moved into Country music where they received their most popularity and fame. You would do well to view any of their videos.
Welcome to the Home Free journey. Buckle up, it's a fabulous ride!
If you're going to really enjoy HF, and Tim Foust (bass singer), get yourselves a good set of headphones with good bass sounds. You'll appreciate the difference.
Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 😊
HOME FREE was on the season after PTX.. OAKRIDGE BOYS were not Capella but did originally sing ELVIRA
Love love Home Free!! Won season after PTX! Please keep reacting to them!!❤
Tim has the low voice. Austin has that amazing voice. Try" Man of Constant Sorrow". Love them
Old school and new wave. The Oaks did "Elvira" back in the early 1980s. The Oaks came out of the gospel scene. There is a classic cut where Richard Sterban sang session work for a guy named Elvis. The Oaks are still touring.
Like a capella? Listen to Home Free do "Auld Lang Syne." Their complex harmony makes that old chestnut really pop.
Adam Rupp did a drum solo to show you it really is him filling in the rythym.
Pentatonix is unreal but I haven't seen them do anything since Avi Kaplan (their mega-bass) left them.
Check our Voice Play's cover of "The Oogie Boogie Song" taken from "Nightmare Before Christmas". Geoff Castellucci goes subharmonic to a E1.
Great song from the early 1980's and Home Free did their version under the watch of the originators of the song !
Ya'll need to do Home free hillbilly bone it's a good time
Would love to see you guys react to Some Girls Do cover by Home Free and when you get more acquainted with their voices I would suggest Mayday Cover by Home Free
Home Free All About That Bass
Since you are planning to watch more Home Free, it would be a really good thing to watch (privately or react to it on for us) The Sing Off Season 4, which HF won. You will enjoy some really good HM performances and get to know the group. "Guy in the White Shirt" Austin Brown is the High Tenor and shines throughout the Sing Off.
If you want to hear more of Austin Brown (high tenor) check out Unchained Melody, At Last, Put Your Head On My Shouldet, and Crazy. He'll blow your minds away!!!
They are still performing this together when they all get together. Fun, fun! Can't Stop the Feeling, Do You Hear What I Hear, Catch Me if You Can and a lot more are suggestions... I can't help it, there are just too many good songs. Thanks! ^_^
The lowest notes on this videos by Tim was LOW E1...E1...epic
Ring of Fire done by Home Free is AMAZING!!!
So you noticed the guy in the white shirt was more active in this one. You see, Home Free has their members take turns in the spotlight. With the exception of their beat boxer, who I heard doesn't *like* the spotlight. (He mainly beatboxes and I'm told it takes a lot of convincing to get him to sing, which he only does in a few of their songs, How Great Thou Art and Helplessly Hoping are two they get him to sing in). Basically though, every few videos they pick a member sing lead for a couple videos. I'm sure it also has to do with what songs they think certain members are going to _own,_ like, they have Rob (the heavy guy with the awesome beard) take the lead in 'End Of The Road' from Boyz 2 men, which....he totally owns.
also Home Free, and Pentatonix did a singoff together. was awesome
Austin is the high voice from my home state Georgia. Listened to Oak Ridge Boys in 70-80s. Been round longer than that tho. You should listen to how low Tim (bass) can go ( or Misty Mountains with Peter Hollins) then listen to MayDay.
Go back and listen to this with headphones hear and feel the bass.
The big bearded guy Rob Lundquist is Home Free"s lead tenor.
you cut it off before the Home Free guys got autographs from the Oak Ridge Boys
If you'd like to see just how low Tim Faust's bass voice can go, you should check out his collaboration with Peter Hollens, doing "Misty Mountain" from The Hobbit.
For his "full range" check out "Your Man". Especially one of the concert performances. The other guys have some fun with his range.
Oak Ridge Boys are not an a cappella band. They were a normal band who had many hits.
White shirt=Austin Brown
Deep Voice=Tim Faust
guy with beard=Rob Lundquist
beatboxer=Adam Rupp
guy in the baseball cap=Chris Rupp (founder of the original Home Free group)
home free Won the sing off against the pentatonix. also home free ring of fire, includes avi caplan, Tim Foust, is the Bass singer with the Awesome range.
Honestly, with Home Free you can do no wrong. They are just that good.
My personal favorites are:
The Butts Remix
Fishing In The Dark/Boondocks
Go Rest High On That Mountain
Honey, I'm Good
Cross That Bridge
Castle On The Hill
just to name a few
Home Free is my favorite group.... and i love this song. They almost always make you smile... Check out their quarantine videos.. Meet in the Middle, Flowers on the Wall... and their parody Quarantine... New Sub here... Thanks!
Home Free won the Sing Off,the next season after pentatonix.
If you like good runs try End of the Road, Ain't Going Down Till the Sun Comes up and Lee Greenwood going off on in God Bless the USA. Austin also kills it in When a man loves Woman. I'm not a fan of the song itself, but he does well. Glad you like HF. They are amazing!
I love your reactions and I love how much you love Home Free! Yes! You definitely should watch “Ring of Fire! Both of you are so enthusiastic and friendly! I believe you both have already turned into Home Fries (their fans name which came from Ben Folds calling Home Free that on the Sing Off). Looking forward to more Home Free, and maybe you could check out Voice Play, too! There were on the same season as Home Free. They had a woman in the group for the Sing Off, but she left the group shortly after the Sing Off. Personally, I think they sound better without her. She’s good, but she always had lead vocal and they mainly backed her up. See you on your next A Cappella reaction.
Just thought I would let you know it seems like the song ended where you stopped it, but it did not and the last part is really good. Home Free Man of Constant Sorrow is one of my favorite ones they do.
They won the year after Pentatonix. Avi and Tim are friends so Avi is in Ting of Fire.
Finally, someone that drinks Dr.Pepper
Also Champaign on a beer budget.
PTX won season 3 of the Sing Off Home Free won season 4
Watch Man of Constant Sorrow, it's great also the Butts Medley.
The guy in the white shirt, his name is Austin,
Tim is from home free. He has a 5 octave range.
You should watch the Oak Ridge Boys original version of this song!
Just a suggestion: when listening to a capella groups, you really need good headphones to catch all the nuances :)
You should give a listen to Home Free's drum solo, also butts remix
❤️❤️
Please do more Home Free...also their boys to the men cover...End of the Road, In the Blood, and the Butts Medley....please.....thx
they won season 4 but HF has been around since spring 2000
