@@trinitrujano7510 I've only got the ps4 and I'm really concerned about burn in with OLED, plus the loss of vibrant colours that you would otherwise get with NeoQled or the sony x90something or other. I love the greater picture on Sony tvs but the LG sounds like the better one for games for OLED, same with the Samsung NeoQled (sort of)... My issues, as well as advantage with the Q is the better blacks compared to Sony's LED. I noticed more glow despite better picture on the Sony. While it seems like the Samsung is a happy medium offering deep blacks, the tech they have in them seems to overdue it and blot out lesser particle effects, like say you're looking at a Galaxy, smaller stars would be blacked out because of their design. So I'm really unsure what to get here. The Sony TVs (OLED and LED) look like they have the greatest, more accurate pictures, but both the LG OLED and the Samsung NeoQled seem to be better for games. And of course, my biggest turnoff from OLED despite loving the crispness and true blacks, is the drowned out colours you get as a result. Kind of like plasmas compared to LED back in the day. Seems the only true great TV is microled but that's not coming to households any time soon, at least but for affordable prices or normal sizes. And input would be great, in really not sure which between the LG C1 v Sony A90 or the Samsung Q90A v Sony x95J All four have nuances, hair splitting pros and cons. I want deep blacks, but I also really value rich colour/picture, burn in is a factor I am not really comfortable with but it sounds like new OLED aren't as bad for it.. So they say. Primarily for games on a ps4 for now, 5 some time in the future when a slim/pro variant is out. I also don't really get the resolution features and settings everyone talks about. 1440 @ 120hz not being a thing on the Sony is a pretty big blunder or would it not really matter?
The C1 is the best buy of 2021. But A90j is legit awesome, best tv... ever. The increased detail, better skin tones and absolutely amazing HDR highlights.. Great video. 🧐💪

@@RJ-cv2uw on LG website they talk about the burn in and they explain how it happens but LG has put a filter in there TV's that kick in once the TV since that there is a picture on the screen longer than 2 mins to protect it LG said it is very very rare for there TV's to get burn in now unlike in the past when OLED were new technology
Who cares if sony is slightly better its the same reason why I stick to android phones apple's maybe slightly faster and better but does that warrant the heavy price sooner or later tvs will bottom out where not can be improved and since sony is using LG panels just stick to LG lol
I had saved up the money for both these tvs in 55 and plumed for the C1 and I'm delighted! Big Sony fan here and after 20 years of their sets I wanted a change, and I have no regrets. I'm a huge gamer as well as movie buff and I'm insanely pleased, I had enough cash for the Sony but I'm glad I've tried something new. Personally I didn't enjoy the Google interface and Im finding WebOs a breath of fresh air and find it far more flexible. I have to say its taken me some time to find the best picture settings and made the mistake of listening to too many so called expert's when it came to picture advice, but weed through the chaff and you find the perfect settings. When it comes to gaming this set has no piers, I loaded up Valhalla yesterday and my jaw hit the floor... Simply beautiful. I so nearly stuck with Sony who you can always trust but if like me you want to visit some place new take the plunge you won't be disappointed
hey! i just joined C1 team recently and i am waiting for the tv to arrive! would you please share some of these setting to calibrate the image since i am so overwhelmed so far from the new videos that i am watching about its setttings?
@@bilalchiiino3423 its no issue at all. The C1 has lots of features to prevent burn in and image retention like automatic pixel refreshing which it does automatically after 4 hours of on screen time, and also the screen automatically dims or changes to some pictures that look like portraits after a certain amount of time with no user input. It also has a logo dimming option if you set it to high it dims logos which prevents even more possible image retention problems. Its designed specifically with gaming in mind. I’ve never had burn in.

Mediocrity will always seek its own level. Why would anyone buy the best (Already Knowing) they shouldn't spend the money because they really want a bunch of other things they really want instead. Makes no sense whatsoever. Here the reasoning and you need to get honest here. 1. You knew the price was high when you went in and paid for the A90J. Your reality is No Matter How much better the Sony Picture was...(Get Honest) you were really going to return it anyway with full knowledge you were going to buy all the other goodies as well. @@rodolfoconejos6477 Thank you very much! One important question I have is, how is the upscaling on cartoon/animated shows? I've heard when it comes to shows and movies, it does a good job. I mainly want to know how it does with animes though, your thoughts?
I’ve always have been a big Sony fan... for many years. I wanted the the best 65 inch OLED and came down to the same two models. I found a few reviews that considered the pictures as being a bit closer but most seem to agree with Caleb (giving Sony the edge). However, I believe Sony has priced their OLED way too high. I could maybe justify about a $500 difference, but not over $ 1k. Sorry, Sony the LG is just too good.
And if you happen to be shopping for an 83", the difference is now $3000! Without side-by-side comparisons showing convincing superiority, this comes across as just a paid endorsement.
But in my country lg c1 priced way more than a80j for same size. 65 inch. Honestly i have a plan to pick lg c1 but i see a80j price is $300 lower than c1.
Agree tho I'd go for the a80j, google tv is just far superior to webos in my eyes, I have both and especially where I live google has a much better app support than lg
Would go for the C1 pretty handily. Although the Sony TV offers a better picture (that's probably not in dispute) the fact that the LG is still fantastic and it has features that may or may not come to the Sony set (VRR) make it the easy winner for me. I know Sony has announced VRR is coming in a future firmware update...they also announced it for last year and then tried to cancel it until they got called out. Not to mention the blurry screen you got last year with 120hz. Should not be those kind of issues with a expensive brand like Sony.
I was in the same situation. Went for a 55” C1 but I truly wanted the Sony until I factored in the price. Another thing that killed that decision was having a eARC HDMI 2.1 port… while having only 2 of those available :( never had an oled before so either way it’s a massive upgrade from a 2016 LG 4K LCD
I went to best buy the other day & was fully convinced in going OLED. I do plan on gaming too, so I really think the LG is the way to go. And I've never owned 4k anything so it'll still be a massive upgrade & I'll still be highly satisfied with the picture. I really can't wait & hope I get it home safe.
I own both LED vendor tvs having had loyalty to both companies for many years. My Sony tv doesnt even remember the position i left a movie at grrr. LG does. The LG plays more audio and video codecs despite what sony lists as supported. My LG magic remotes are just fantastic. Forwarding my sony to where i left the movie at is a pain in the butt and often breaks. as in the tv stops responding to commands. As a consumer its the little things that matter far more than slight perceptions to picture quality which is far more impacted by the quality of the stream/movie. My pick, LG by far.
@@Grande79 Right...in watching the LG Oled Im wondering how much of a difference to the human eye can there be between the LG Oled that I have and the more expensive Sony.....not enough to make a difference to me.
@@vickilovesboxers In most instance the difference is minor except for the Sonys upscaling. If you are watching a 4K disc on both side by side the Sony will look marginally better. It’s when watching inferior sources where the Sony shines, like network tv and cable. LG seems better for gaming though.
A90J not having 4 HDMI 2.1 ports at this price point, that's like selling a 200k car with only 2 wheels. Nope never mind, i'll stick with my LG65GX that can handle the XBSX, PS5 and soundbar al at the same time.
LG OLED with it's gaming focus is the winner for me. I've dreamt of a UHD panel like this since like 2015 after getting the world's first 4K G-sync monitor but wanting more than 60FPS only offered by sub 4K panels at the time. But having 4k@120Hz, OLED AND G-sync is bliss. Haven't gone back to a gaming monitor since early 2020.
I am just here to say thank you, because of you after shopping for a long time for a tv, I went with the A80J from Sony, thanks for al your input and now I am looking for a soundbar you are the best
The LG C1 is better. This youtuber of course will talk great about both of them because LG and Sony sends them to him. He is lying about the motion on the Sony A90j. The LG C1 has much better motion
@@marleymarz2907 Yes I bought the a90j first and took it back because of the terrible jutter and motion issues. I than bought the C1 and it so far is a much better experience
Even if it does get VRR in an update - VRR can cause a flicker effect on OLED. LG is the only one who’s provided a temporary slight remedy to that with the game optimiser
@@HunBela They act like it's never coming and that Sony would love to be hit with lawsuits left and right lol. It will be here this winter. They wouldn't release it now and hurt the sales of the X90J when if they released it people who want a deal would snag up more X900h models. This way 2020 and 2021 sets get the update at the same time. Just my opinion. Enjoying the hell out of my 65" A90J!
I own an OLED LGC1. My friend owns an A90J. You're literally paying 1700 or more for a Sony bravia name on a same size tv. The C1 blows it out of the water. Especially if you game. Lower inputs, VRR, Freesync, and a lot more. About the only thing the Bravia has on the C1 is slightly better brightness. But it's negligible, in all honesty. Both might suffer from burn-in though, if you don't take care of either tv. If you own a ps5 and think somehow owning a Sony tv will somehow match or improve your game, please don't be ridiculous. But if you have money to blow for an inferior tv that also costs more. By all means. The A90J tv is still a fantastic tv on its own. Just realize it's overly expensive, and you're basically paying premium for a brand name. Nothing more.
Have you seen the video at all? For 8 minutes he talks about that the A90J is basically better in every aspect of picture quality than the C1 except one...
Dude, I was tech reviewer for two years. It is not. The bravia is slightly better for movies and brightness, but very neglible. And I clearly stated the C1 is better for GAMING. Overall, if you READ my comment I explained you are paying a premium for the "bravia" name alone. But when it comes to owning either of these tv's for gaming, the C1 is supremely better in every category. This isn't an opinion.
I also have the LGC1 and I'd like it be brighter. I also have a 4k Laser Projector and it's brighter and better suited to certain things. Bang for buck brighter is the LG QNED TV whilst for purists not as good as the OLED TV is a very very good product for the money when you want brighter.
@@thomasbuilder better in a negligible amount and when you factor in the C1 basically being the bast gaming TV on the market it’s not really even close.

Sony for home cinema viewing and lg for gaming and cinema. After a year of my C9 and replacing panel and motherboard I had it calibrated 2 weeks ago and it’s Absolutely incredible. Bar none.
I went the the c1 for $1750 from Costco. The Sony was going for 2100. Put a couple extra shelves I had under the TV stand and was able to fit my soundbar under just fine. Also got it mainly for gaming and all the reviews said was the best for that.
I'm with you there....I paid about the same for mine, plus another 500 for piece of mind geek squad protection. I would be willing to pay a bit more, but only for a tech that gives the best of both worlds, like micro led.
Until you do and wonder why you didn't do it sooner. This applies to the highest level of TVs, jumping from lower end amps to better amps, soundbars to actual speakers, etc.. but congrats on getting to the point you are at now, and smile that you will get to higher levels of performance in the future. Lg TVs don't last forever, especially if they are OLED.
@@here2watch377 LG G1 for $2799 USD (presumably the 65"). Converted to AUD would be around $3600, which should be the price in Australia. Instead, a 65" G1 cost $5300 here! WTF

Man hearing Caleb talk about not being able to afford the Sony reminds me of the Greek myth with the guy whose surrounded by water constantly, but can’t drink any even though he’s parched. Must be tough to love display tech that much and see the best, but not be able to take any of it home!
as far as him saying no contest, is bogus he lost my confidence when that statement was made ,the c1 is absolutely no slouch, it has all its bells and whistles out the box plus more 2.1 inputs, sony keeps hollering updates no vrr yet same promises now winter is the updates over a year ago same story same blah blah

My only downside with the C1 is the brightness. I wish it was a little bit brighter. Other than that, it's a gorgeous TV and my PS5 looks amazing on it.
You forgot one feature which is really important. The ATSC 3.0 ota tuner. This feature will allow you to watch uncompressed 4K over the air. Unsurpassed picture quality. It also gets much better reception than 1.0. In my instance, my old Sony 4K set got 83 channels. The A90j got 113. The stations were more stable as well. With more people cutting the cord, this ota module is a game changer.
I bought the lg C1 recently for my gaming room i was setting up for my daughter. I understand with tech there is nearly always a more expensive option that is better or over time there will be something newer and better coming out. However while i assume you are correct in your comparison of the 2 tvs in these categories. I am sure i personally just wouldnt notice the difference in sound or picture. Also you possibly could have elaborated on the gaming side alot more because the c1 is next gen console ready at 120hz and it optimises to your console etc the sonys lack of 2.1 ports puts it way behind in my opinion for gaming and is a massive miss by sony considering what sony are in the gaming space.....so considering it is really for gamers, it is also pretty damn good that the C1 gives the sony a close run for its money on actually being a good tv aswell.

I really appreciate your reviews and always look forward to them but.....why compare the A90j to the C1? They are different price and trim levels. They were never meant to compete head to head. The C1 is supposed to compete against the A80j. Not the A90j. Do that comparison ( which you already have several times ) and it is much closer. The A90j vs the G1 is the more even comparison, Which you have also done. It seems to me you just ran out of content to post and compared these 2 for the heck of it and to generate a few more views i.e. revenue. I love your reviews but without telling people these 2 tvs are not in the same class seems a little skewed, especially if people are not familiar with these models and do not know better.
I worked at Audio King back in he late 90's and early 2000's.... I remember those well. I had a 32" Sony XBR tube, before HDMI, and it was 235 lbs if my memory was correct. We once had to install one of the wide screen Sony tube TVs above a fireplace, I think it was the 40", and it was over 300 lbs. THAT WAS A HEAVY TV TO PUT ON A SHELF AT HEAD LEVEL! We got it done, and then the doctor customer gave us each a bottle of champagne. He and his wife had a bet that two of us wouldn't be able to get that monster into place. Those were fun times.
@John Hooper the image quality is much better on the oled screen than on my previous 1440p 144hz ips monitor. Its worth it to me for the better visuals and immersion. And the instant pixel response and low lag means i can play even competitive games. Burn in may be an issue. But the warranty i have covers it so i can just replace it with a better screen if it happens in the next 5 years. Its just that i really cant handle the glowyness and bloom of ips and va monitor it always takes me out of the game.
@John Hooper Could not be further from the truth. OLED's infinite contrast, much better HDR and near-zero pixel-switch makes hugely better picture quality than LCD. And it also works in games now not just movies. Without micro-stuttering, screen-tear and all. XR(or whatever) better-izer algorithms are only working for movies, and get disabled in game mode anyway. Sony's "better picture quality" is nothing for a gamer, no matter how good they are at what they do. While VRR is a killer feature. PC gamer, not even hardcore gamer, basically any average Joe, is not limited to small monitors anymore and can buy as large as 83'' OLED TV for games.
I really wanted the Sony in 55”. I really did. But at an extra £500, when I showed the two televisions to my wife, the LG CX was the clear winner. If money were no object, then it would have been a harder decision. All of my 4K HDR discs are just superb, and even streaming content on Disney+ reveals a solid picture. Sorry, but money decisions are always a factor for me. Heck, when I decide to upgrade, I’ll plump for the LG.
I'm all over the SonyA90j @83 inches. The cleaner picture, better upconversion and more importantly the motion handling is worth the extra money for me. I’m still doing just fine with my 55” LG C9 that I paid $1,500 for. Simply a beautiful TV with AMAZING picture quality and it’s perfect for gaming! Then you can put on a Dolby Vision movie and be blown away by that picture quality, too. Amazing TV for the price! When I was shopping around I checked the Sony that was out at the time for $2,500 and while the picture was MAYBE 5% better, it simply didn’t justify the price hike to me… I also LOVE that LG tells you what source you’re getting so you’re not guessing if you’re in HDR or whatever. It actually helped me when I watched the Snyder cut of Justice League on HBO Max and my PS5 wasn’t outputting Dolby Vision so then I did it through AirPlay and saw Dolby Vision come up on my screen. LG makes KILLER TV’s for the price! You can’t go wrong!
Also I love how quantum fake tv reviewer bashes you and other reputable reviews. I’ve seen some horrible fake reviews with fake comments before but that channel take the prize! Keep up the good work!
Hey Kaleb, just want to thank our for all the helpful info. Basically I’ve decided to go with the A90J instead of a C1 or G1. What’s holding me back is some concerns with VRR and G/Freesync. I want to use whatever tv I get for both my gaming PC and PS5 with a home theater system. And including a receiver adds even more concerns. I’m frustrated that companies are so vague about specs because everything has an “*” which means MAYBE it will support all the features I want in the future. Your vids cut through all that BS. Thanks again!
The Sony A90J also supports DTS whereas LG dropped all support (eARC, bitstreaming or decoding) for DTS audio on the CX and C1, which could be a deal-breaker for many film enthusiasts.
@@nicholasdorazio10 i just got my C2 so I'll check definitively tomorrow. I've already noticed some films playing from my NAS which show an "audio not supported" message on the TV, and I was wondering whether that was a DTS stream in the file. I'm more confident it will passthrough all the data if you have a compatible external decoder though.
Thanks for the quick, no-none sense review. Too many contributors draw things out unnecessarily- this got me the info I needed without consuming my entire lifetime getting to the crux!
I mean think of it this way the A80J would be very similar to the C1 so the comparison between the 80 and 90 would be similar to what you saw in this video, it would have been better if he compared G1 to A90J and C1 to A80J since that's the step up chart in both line ups. @@funguy8444 G1 was already tested, and it's barely even noticably from a C1....A90J destroys both of those TV's....A80J however looks a bit closer to the C1 and G1...probably still a tad better, Sony really dominates this year....that is ONLY when they keep their promise on VRR ALLM.
@Vic Godwin Please dont be delusional and fool yourself, I have seen countless Reviews now, and the A90J is hands down a league above LG in terms of Brightness, Shadow Details, Sharpness and really any Detail refinement, Objects stick out more as well, giving it an almost 3Dish Pop. I love my C1, hat's off to Sony if the user experience beats what I have. I unfortunately have nothing to compare my C1 experience to since this is my first oled, but the price I paid is about as high as I'm willing to go on any tv. That said, if anyone is coming from the land of LED like I did and you're on the fence about the C1, just get it. I'm coming from a 2 year old Samsung and the C1 gets plenty bright for me. 4k gaming, HDR movies, and even some SDR content look absolutely amazing. I can totally see what oled owners have been preaching for years, and believe me, the old saying "Once you go oled you'll never go back" is absolutely true!
G1 has a 5 yr warranty which includes burn in now as long as it isn't used for commercial use like as a static single image monitor, but any normal private use is covered.. Just don't leave it on one news station or Spotify all day with tbe brightness on high lol. Newer c1's now come with the evo panel too but only g1 has that awesome warranty, even Sony doesn't offer a warranty like that. Heard too many people complain bout Sony's motion blur being tok much to handle. Sony was my tops when they manufactured their own LCD's in tbe past but not now out sourcing the panels from LG I'd rather go with the OG manufacturer.

Caleb - I think you need to try Apple TV 4k and the automatic picture calibration feature. I would love to hear your take on the whole thing (as a professional)!
It won’t work if TV supports Dolby Vision. It assumes as it’s already calibrated. And unless you have a budget TV, it won’t give you professional calibrator level of perfection.
You can get the Apple TV app on the H and J series Sony TVs. The tv will always show you a 4k image, and the scaling is much better when these high end TVs do the processing rather than external devices.
I received my A90J this week and it truly is amazing! The C1 for the inputs! It's great to have a TV that looks great but if you do not have the inputs needed, you just have a great-looking TV without everything connected. For this price point, Sony should have more than 2 HDMI 2 inputs. This is why I choose the LG G version over the Sony A90J review you did as well. I guess Sony thinks you will only have a Playstation hooked up and they are making you choose one or the other.
So we came to the same conclusion based on price. I’d love to get the Sony, but it’s not in my budget. Secondly, the menfolk of the house are gamers, so LG wins me over in that category. Cuz it would be used for at least one of the consoles. You basically confirmed the thoughts I’ve had rattling around in my brain for awhile now. My choice won’t waver. Now, I just gotta keep adding to the new TV fund...
If you game, the LG is worth $1,000 more than the sony. It's got a great picture for movies, I do home theater so I don't pay attention to the sound, but it's gaming mode is so much better, it leaves Sony in the dust. And even if they were the same price, or even if the LG was more, that would be my TV of 2021.

I used my stimulus money to buy a 55 inch LG CX (I don't think the mostly similar C1 was worth a full 33% more). However, I love having the best of the best (and as I'm retired on a fixed income, this was likely my last chance to have the best TV) and I seriously considered saving another 2-3 months and getting the 55 inch A90J (for more than double the CX). However, as silly as some may think, it came down to the size of the stand which you discussed in your review. The 55 inch CX's long central stand fits on my current TV table (just, there's a fingernail's sliver of overhang); the A90J, with feet at the extreme edges of the TV, does not. And aside from the additional expense of a new table, I'm 67 and live alone and really do not want to assemble it.
I have the cx 65 “ and just purchased the 77 C1 and both are amazing! Sony lacking the gaming, and 2.1 ports and the most important the PRICE, turned me away! And to me it’s heat sink panel doesn’t justify the price at all. I would tell anyone to get the lg C1!!
Sorry but the A90J has so many missing features, especially at that price point. If you run an HDMI 2.0 AVR or a sound bar on the eARC port you only have a single HDMI 2.1 port left. VRR and ALLM are still not supported and Sony is very slow to release firmware updates. Last update for this TV was in MARCH, three months ago while LGs last update was just a couple of days ago.
They'll never be suppotrted and if they do it's likely gonna be broken. Seems to me it's no contest for LG here, paying $1000 more for less features and barely any improvements sounds like madness.
I just got the lg c1 48inch. I gotta say. Its amazing. When using it for gaming with a ps5. It's ridiculously good. No way I could afford the Sony and not even sure they do a 48inch A90J so the LG was a no brainer.
The only weakness with reviews of this kind is that they cannot determine reliability or longevity past the test period documented in the video. Based on the feedback I have heard from salesmen and what I have seen in user reviews, I think the advantage goes to Sony on this point. Products that are more expensive to buy can be less expensive to own in the long run due to fewer repairs and longer life.
Have you done a side by side with the LG G1 65” and LG C1 65”? I’ll check, but if not, that would be awesome. This video rocked. I decided on LG and yes I can’t justify $1300 bucks. Your video on the LG G1 and LG CX woke me up to the CX as I had decided on the G1. With your input, I’m reconsidering. Thanks again.
With this video in mind, how does the G1 with the EVO panel stack up against the C1? Is the G1 worth $500 more for the 65", especially compared to the A90J's $1300 more for the 65"? A video about this would be extremely helpful, especially when discussing living room use
G1 only offers a perfect wall mount solution due to its design. Maybe 2 or 3 exclusive features to justify the price i can't remember but in terms of raw performance it's the same panel.
@@giannimaccario9571 I’m sure the G1 has their new evo panel, and is better calibrated out of the box, but I still don’t think it’s a justifiable price.
i have both the sony ang lg oleds and i like web os way more with the magic remote...but definitely rather have a 77 c1 for the price of a 65 a90j...any idea when the new tcl 6 series 8k is out?
I have a Sony 65XD9305 with Android and it is my worst experience ever. Unstable, slow, several times rebooting and … 1000 times better one stable operating system with maybe a bit less Video quality! I’m exchanging now to LG definitely. WebOS is much better. I have experience on both.

....and now ( May 2022) and the price of both have come way down in deference to newer models .I got new 55"A90J for $1700. with free shipping. I love it! Not a gamer, so that aspect of the C1 being better means nothing to me.
Got the C1 and find it great, love it. I mean beautiful impressive picture, yes, surprising good sound, plenty of features and settings. I am happy i did not pay 1k or more for the sony and wonder if the picture quality difference is so noticeable if you do not have both side by side.
@Raymond Torres Run a burn in test, then get back to me. Bet you have some you haven't noticed yet. Once you see it, you will never un-see it. Good luck.
@Raymond Torres It does not matter if you watch static images. Burn in on OLED is from cumulative exposure, not constant exposure. For example, the Netflix logo. You dont need to have the Netflix logo on screen for hours at a time for it to burn in. If you browse Netflix a few minutes every day, the logo will burn in from the cumulative hours of exposure of the bright red logo on the pixels.
It’s no comparison. For almost double the price, it’s clearly not double the tv. With some setting changes, I prefer the LG. The Sony drowns out details cuz of its heavy focus on highlights.
I just picked up the C1 and my god, gaming will never be the same. It's just beautiful
Foreal just got mine yesterday. Played ghost of Tsushima on my ps5 and was blown away by the graphics🤯
It's a beast of a tv
And input would be great, in really not sure which between the LG C1 v Sony A90 or the Samsung Q90A v Sony x95J
All four have nuances, hair splitting pros and cons.
Stop talking about the C1!!! I want to get one and they don't drop the price! It is an oled with 4k 120hz ! what else do you need?

@@bilalchiiino3423 its no issue at all.

Yes for real. A $1000 difference is no competition. the LG it is! 😁
Wouldn't a match up against the G1 be more fair? It would still be cheaper than the Sony.

I own both LED vendor tvs having had loyalty to both companies for many years. My Sony tv doesnt even remember the position i left a movie at grrr. LG does.

I just bought the A90J 65 inch today. Watching John Wick 3: Parabellum. Incredible motion clarity, that's where OLED destroys the competition.
I remember paying $2400 for my 32" Sony XBR TV which weighed 250 lbs.
Lol

LG and Sony both TV's have an Excellent picture, sound and for Gaming I love it
Since I only game on the TV with some light movie watching the LG seems like a far superior TV to me. half the input lag and VRR is a game changer
Use is what matters. LG is best for gamers
@John Hooper if you can handle DSE and banding
@John Hooper I have the LG CX 48 inch model. connected to a PC with an NVIDIA 3000 series gpu
I'll just wait till Black Friday and see if I can get BB to drop their price and eat the tax especially since I'm getting the geek squad coverage.

Would love to see an A80J vs A90J comparison.
I mean think of it this way the A80J would be very similar to the C1 so the comparison between the 80 and 90 would be similar to what you saw in this video, it would have been better if he compared G1 to A90J and C1 to A80J since that's the step up chart in both line ups. G1/A90J your top tier where the C1/A80J is your next step down
@@funguy8444 G1 was already tested, and it's barely even noticably from a C1....A90J destroys both of those TV's....A80J however looks a bit closer to the C1 and G1...probably still a tad better, Sony really dominates this year....that is ONLY when they keep their promise on VRR ALLM.
Yes dude facts! Paying 3k to 4k for A90J just because the picture is slightly better is just sad lol
I got the sonos one as a preorder gift with the P30 Pro.
It sounds awesome but no Bluetooth and the prices of sonos products made me stay away from them. Can't be asked to spent 350+ for a sonos connect. I wonder how do you justify the extra money spent on Sonos. Not hating or shitting on your opinion here :D Just honestly curious.
Arcs are hard to find now but I want one
Just got a C1. Loving it. Got it on sale for $1200 off RRP.
I just hate to have to worry about burn-in in the back on my mind.
@@cra2yey338 Ive had a 65 inch Samsung plasmas since 2012 and I worried too but the screen is fine in 2021 still looks great. Just bought the C1. The Sony looks great too but as long as the OLED as close to my plasma in brightness I will be happy.

@@deepkag I agree! But for lots of TVs out there, it could do alot for picture quality, assuming you have an Apple TV 4K of course!
Of course it’ll only “calibrate” on the ATV itself. So nothing is changed on the TV.
You can get the Apple TV app on the H and J series Sony TVs. The tv will always show you a 4k image, and the scaling is much better when these high end TVs do the processing rather than external devices.
Interesting, HDTVTest said that the Sony has issues at low black levels due to it not having 2.5% black level adjustment (0, 5, etc on the Sony )

Gaming on an OLED is like flushing $2K down the toilet.
@@Jg-be7it why

Great review, can you do a80j vs lg c1 ?
@@omarcomming722 yeah. LG actually just released an update that enables Dolby vision at 120 Hz. The Sony will probably never get that feature.
Products that are more expensive to buy can be less expensive to own in the long run due to fewer repairs and longer life.
burn in isn’t really an issue anymore on newer oleds ….
with 2k $ price difference and the support for VRR, multiple HDMI 2.1 and low input lag, the winner here is a no brainer...

Exactly... Where is the G1 comparison.... I do love my C1 tho.
For what it's worth, my initial research indicates picture quality is the same and the extra cost is mostly due to added features.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Some advice: don't watch Netflix on it. Don't watch any network TV. Do not even think about gaming on it.
