  • This was a classic 2002 cypher that took place in the hallway of the Continuous Motion Record Store (hence, that's why I named it the HALLWAY CYPHER). There was actually a recording studio on the second floor above the record store where tons of classic songs and mixtape's were created. On this particular day all of the MC's had gathered to record a few songs for the FIRM MIXTAPE (Family Of Independent Record Merchants, music distribution company). This effort was coordinated by my right hand man BIG CHRIS who was the director of the F.I.R.M. The rappers who were in attendance included KRE, MONSTA, SEAN BROWN, EASTWOOD, KWIZ, ENESS, SLAUGHTER RICO, NELL FOR HIRE, SNACKS, SHOWBOAT.

This is rap gold. These dudes are doing it for the love of the craft and the culture. The Philly flow is best in the game man. They all get 5 stars from me man. I love E-ness but Slaughter Rico's flow is something else. Love from UK.

Thanks for checking in. Yeah, Slaughter would shut any cypher down and it was all ears and eyes on him when he grabbed the mic. Thanks for checking in. Keep it Locked and please spread the word to all your UK hip hop fans to subscribe to the channel.

@@2rawforthestreetshistory344 this raw shit cuts deeper into the soul than some of the new battles. Cyphers always come over as more real because the rappers are not doing it for the money in that instant, you can see they doing it for the art form itself, and nothing else. The New York guys need to do more cyphers tbh. Philly got this shit on lock if you ask me....their flow is incredible. All the scrap metal guys, E-ness, Slaughter Rico, Joey Jihad, Chico, Spittage Oschino....man I love their style.
